just had my first run in with a copper and its not even my fault!, walks over to me as im parked up outside the bank in town and says 'if your going to drive like a cock dont do it around the town'. funny because i had been in the bank for several minutes filling out a slip to pay some cash in, he reckons he followed a noisey car through town that was speeding, well how could that of been me when my car had been stationary for nearly 10 minutes and he reckons i had just stopped. this annoys me, i heard the car go past from inside the bank but because a modded car is parked up (admittadely on double yellows) he assumes it must of been me and starts giving me abuse. i wasnt in the mood for it so i got out with pen and paper and demanded his name and badge number, they get abit worried when you threaten them with a complaint it seems, apologised and went on his way. what gives them the right to verbally abuse us hey, nothing! rant over. |

Was he a newbie? Points mean prizes nowadays isn't it? I had exactly the same thing happen, slightly different circumstances. One of my mates started doing do-nuts in the Snow on Poole park Cricket pitch on my Puch maxi moped. He spots a Copper, i unfortunately did not. He thens returns the Moped to me and says "gotta go...laters" then walks off rather quickly. I turned around to hear this copper go "oy, can i have a word?" .....then i 'looked to the sky'....i looked around to see where ol' matey was and he was laughing his bloody head off! ...The Git!  Got a warning for that!

Its not just the police that dont have to pay road tax, fire, ambulance and coastal rescue vehicles dont have to either! TBH why should they? They dont exactly take the cars home with them at the end of the night and they're performing a public service! Andy, sounds like you had a bad experience. If what you say is correct then it would seem the officer jumped to conclusions when he saw your car parked up. Tut tut mr officer thats wrong! |

on the subject about police does anybody know if they are using focus st's or vectra vxr's yet as it would be a weapon of choice, just that a few weeks ago came up against vectra vxr in my evo and i could not shake him off  ,would make sense as all the performance cars coming onto the market at cheap prices. |

I expect it was the sight of a massive tail pipe on a small car. Im not picking on you, but I bet the copper has seen bellends all day driving round in modded this and that, kaning through town. im not surprised he drew the conclusion he did. He saw yours and automatically labelled you. Its the stereo type we have been dealt with unfortunatley. |

never a truer word said mr8. unfortunately you are right, but i make a point of not doing it round the town, because i live here i would be recognised easily (plus the cars bright green and loud, not easy to mistake) and its not worth getting caught, on an open road outside of times its rude not to from time to time ![]() then again i always make sure the cars warmed up first, i literally went from home - bank - home. wouldnt of warmed up by then. oh well i'll now keep a pen and paper in the car permanently if they are going to stereotype everybody. |

Everyone knows loud means fast... why do chavs have loud exhaust on their 1l hairdryers? to make them fast of course ![]() I personally thing there should be a 100db limit for road use anyway, 100 db is pleanty loud enough IMHO |
