got a mate selling a forged ej20 engine from a 1997 wrx, will it fit into a 1994 impreza |

It will fit but the wiring will be different so it will have to be adapted....unless its a short engine, where you may have to use the heads from the 94 engine bolted on. |

what wires have to be adapted, do the heads on the 2 engines swap ove ok? |

TBH im not entirely sure what wires but the heads would be straight forward. You best bet is to post it on scoobynet. |

ok....looks like the heads will be fine because the 97 engine is a phase 1 engine(well 1.5) and not a phase 2 as i thought so a short engine will fit right in using the existing inlet manifold etc. |
