Some idiot in a mark 4 golf thought it would be a great idea to skip through a gap in a lane of traffic into a free flowing lane , which i was driving along, funnily enough i did have to slam on my breaks to just stop in time and not so much as a sorry or a wave of good will, i hate that young people and people with modified cars get all the blame in accidents when its pricks like that who just dont look or think, sorry just had to get that out |

Yep, sadly the days of mirror, signal, manouver are well gone. People think now that just becuase they indicate it gives them right of way. Even worse when they just pull out. I would have lent on my horn tbh. |

i had a V6 4motion golf at the roundabout that leads to Tescos,Poole or Canford Heath (coming from Wallisdown) he's in the left lane (Tescos only) signalling left then go straight over into the lane is was getting into,he beeps his horn, undertakes me then when we get to the next roundabout slightly opens his door like he wants a bit of aggro WTF (shame but i remebered his number plate (HG53 PKY). but obviously i was at fault because i expected him to turn left don't you just hate it when your psychic powers run out  |

I had a guy this morning who was entirely oblivious to the fact he cut my up on Darby's Corner roundabout changing lanes mid way round when going to the turning up Gravel hill. I lent on the pathetic horn on the MR and he didn't even hear me or see he was wondering over into my lane until I stamped on the brakes and came in behind him before my wheels met the kurb. Observation seems to be something missing from the roads. And its often elderly people. As Niallis said, the blame falling on younger drivers is huge, even in situations where the other party was blatantly at fault! |

Just get out of the car with a 2 ft breaker bar. They get back in sharpish then. MR2 agree, peoples observation levels are very minimal it seems - and I hate to say it and I am sure I will get flamed but I have noted this more with women than men. They along with older people are too hestitant, braking for no reason, not being spacially aware and so on. Oh and for some reason only using the middle lane on motorways. I had the same situation the other morning, i was approaching a round about to turn right, i was on the roundabout indicating and I saw this woman appraoching. Now I know peoples roundabout ettiquette lacks so expected her to make a mistake. The vacant look on her face was a give away. Anyway she suddenly realised and braked meaning she was half way into the roundabout. If i had driven round with my own priority she would have hit me. People who cut roundabouts are also a pain. Straightlining is ok, if there is no-one else about. I am not a perfect driver by any means but I hope that my years of driving make me reasonably safe and conciencous |

Another thing that irritates me (and there is plenty  ) is the speed at which people drive around roundabouts for some reason they seem to think that the speed limit is ½ of the legal limit on the road, i normally get this on dual carriageways. Also rain why the hell do people either drive at ½ the speed limit or twice the speed limit? Do these people not realise that the car companies have spent millions of currency and years of research to come up with a car that can do 70mph in the wet. |

Most other cars don't have the grip we do Paul! I see wet weather and roundabouts as opportunities rather than something to slow down for! Lane discipline is pretty poor around here. I nearly had a ford transit as an ornament on Monday night coming out of the Littledown centre. Only the bus lane stopped me doing some rallycross!

i tell you what pisses me off more than things like that, when people cut you up or pull in front of you or generally make a mistake, then give you abuse and give you the finger just cos you beep them, even though they were in the wrong!!! |

Lot of very true posts here! This is why I really like driving my big Audi 100 beater. If someone tries to carve me up, I just look over, smile and wait for the impact. I really couldn't care and I doubt it would hurt the Panzerwagon anyway ![]() I alo agree about driving in the wet - some people are just f&*king stupid. And the ones who flash at you for overtaking them when they are well under the speed limit and no body is around. It's those ones I want to pull over, haul out the car and ask what the f&*k their problem is ![]() I don't like the idea of prison though. |
