Pretty much all kit cars give a incredible about of performance for the price but this one just seams to stand out. It only weighs 365Kgs and is powered by a 180bhp R1 engine. I did some sums and reckon thats 493bhp/ton; 17 more than an Enzo :o . They say it can be built for about £8,00 which sounds, to me, like a bargain when you consider a decent Caterham would be well over double that.

If I had a garage it'd definitely be top of my shopping list . Just wondered if anyone else has been tempted or built anything similar?

Nice :D

I test drove an SSC Stylus at the workshop in Wales a few years ago. Fantastic experience and it was just their old pinto demo.

Did a quick bit of searching on the Sprint R. It's made by MK Engineering and from my Kit car mag reading in the past, they're a respected company. Turnkey Sprint Rs available from about £11.5k and about a month.

Price list for kits here.

Thats awesome!

Have seriously started to look at bike engined cars, performance is unreal - but then again so is the practicality

Very true  .. that complete lack of reverse gear is gonna suck. i haven't looked into the servicing yet but i guess, with such a highly tuned engine, it’s also going to need a fair bit of tlc.

Here's a quick video if anyone’s interested, watch it blow away those Elises like they were milk floats :D
