Unless you need to remove the air box for space reasons IE front mount dont bother just put a good panel filter in, one that is not to oily as the maf's dont like oil on scoobys.

Type 25 400+ BHP uses standard air box.

My 200 makes good power with the standard air box in place. The only reason I'd change to an induction kit if for the extra noise. If you do get an induction kit, make sure its a closed kit.

I read that the Impreza airbox is pretty good. Change it if you want the engine bay to look nice ;)

hi mate,i tryed both a green and a k&n panel filter in my 95 classic didnt really seem to make much difference apart from sounding fractionaly crispier. i ended up buying a powertec induction kit from scoobyworld.com.finised in a nice anodised blue and been a mesh filter requires no oil and little maintence. this did make a more noticable improvement around the mid range and pulled harder to the top end and the noise well f%$k me......awesome huge sucking noises on the throttle whistles when you back off the throttle as if scoobs didnt sound good enough this just finished the orchestra off. oh yeah matey you would benifit a cold air feed pipe or bonnet scoop or both.

Agree with the first 3 posts - induction kits are slowly being realised for what they are :)

They really don't add power unless the air requirement of your engine is higher than it can flow.

I had my STi 5 upto 320 bhp with the stock airbox.

I hate the noise induction things make too, sounds like darth vader with bad athsma.

There is a good review and some technical info about them on here
