Most people start with induction kit and modded exhaust. This will get an extra couple of BHP if you're lucky.

Like all things, you get what you pay for and the more money you can throw at a car the more power you will get. :)

What do you want from the mods?

Looks or performance?

If you want to go faster then buy a decent set of tyres. I've skimped on tyres in the past and its always a mistake! Lowering springs improve the looks and lower the centre of gravity.

I'd forget engine mods on those cars, you'll chuck thousands at them and end up with an extra 15bhp.

Lose weight !!!

Striping all unnecessary weight from the car will improve your power to weight ratio, improve handling, and braking performance, and it's FREE !!!


After that, the best set of tyres you can afford, and then braided hoses, decent pads and fluid.

Serious engine mods should come once the handling and braking is sorted IMO.
