andy when are you thinking of fitting the brake setup. reason why im asking is im currently trying to rebuild a set of tt calipers for my car. when they are done my set will be up for grabs. they accept 280mm+ dia 28mm thk disks. they are 4 pot aluminum calipers which would be an amazing upgrade for your car. probably would need to get a carrier bracket made up but thats not a big deal LOL. |

And different sized pistons... I would get a set of AP Dixel disks and pads, is what they use in Japanese N1 race series.... I have a set of disks and can't fault them

well ive just spent the past couple of hours researching the brake setup and have basically thrown out the parts i had selected bar the calipers. so here goes. despite the legend calipers being twin pots a prelude single piston caliper & carriers has actually been proven to be a better upgrade and set it up ready for the 282/262mm discs i'll be using, so those stay on my list. Discs will be oem blank or brembo blank discs ment for an 02-03 civic Si (usdm EP3) as they are 282mm front, 262mm rear and are 4x100 not 5 stud, so they bolt directly on. pads it seems are indeed ferodo ds2500 to use with this setup. also i need a 1" master cylinder from a prelude or dc2 (the same) and some braided brake lines to improve the response. seems like this will give me the most effective brake setup, i'll post up the most useful article ive found in the honda area soon but its a great read on general upgrades for what can work best, and it seems blank discs not drilled or slotted are the most effective you can use, surprised me slightly how bad drilled or grooved discs perform compared to oem blanks. hellraiser: i'll probably have to do the brakes just after new year, mine are shockingly bad as it is so when i boost its going to be worse so i may well try those calipers from you, i'l get the setup ive just mentioned and look into using your calipers, let me know when your ready and we can talk more mate

IMHO not really very usuable, once its going im sure it will be fine but first and second will be interesting. Id love to run against this down the 1/4 in a stock evo 5/6 with 280bhp. Hopefully ill get the chance

well 1 of the guys on civicsportsclub has had his turbo civic running 300bhp for about a year now as says its not that hard to drive, so really 350bhp shouldnt differ from that very much but we'll have to wait and see unfortunately, if its too much i'll get another car for pootling about. i'm sure when its done we can have a little race down the strip paul, i intend to make the most out of it once its ready

All this talk of power but no mention of transmission.....surely the torque would eat a standard gearbox when your looking to throw double the power at it. |

Just so you know, IIRC Prelude callipers are the same as 620Ti / 623's, which you are more likely to find cheaper. Have a look at this http://board.hondacrx.co.uk/phpbb2/viewtopic.php?t=6004 |

legend twin pots are virtually the same stoppers that the NSX comes with IIRC.
