Which Bov?

basically i can't make my mind up on a BOV to use on my set up, i want 1 as its a way to protect the set up in the long run otherwise i may of gone without. i've had a look at them all and its between a HKS SSQV or a Greddy Type S if i can find 1 (as i understand they were discontinued, replaced by the RS). The HKS seems a better more efficient BOV but i love the short sharp sound of a Greddy Type S.
what would anybody else suggest, i don't want something too loud or too long i like it to have a short but nice sound aswell as being effective.
Any recommendations on what people use etc would be useful.

ive got a blitz, but i like the unique sound of the HKS SSQV and ive been told that the HKS SSQV is best at doing what its supposed to
Nissan built an Impreza before Subaru, its called the GTi-R

I used to have a shitty Forge motorsport one on my FD3S that made the old school whoooosh sound (but it used to leave unless you gave it hard boost. Cruising at 70 ish you could hear it leaking.

So now i have the HKS SSQ that doesn't leak and gives that awesome chiiiiiirp at low boost and a short sharp chip at high boost. Best of all worlds if you ask me.

yeah hks ssqv. sounds awesome and unique... in a way!

i dont lie the blitz, tooo loud and it just sounds like air and goes on for ages.

and you cant put a baileys on a japanese car... its the law!

but if you want to tturn the heads of the knowledgeable petrol heads you must run without a bov.

I have a Tial DV to go on. Have no idea what it sounds like but I was recommended by the Dentist that when i'm nearing the power that a recirc wont be as good so a VTA would be better.

re-circ wouldnt be stealth unless he's running a stock airbox... which i very much doubt.
[GK-customfield]Lewis[customfield-GK]
Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)

spot on, and i dont think it would be possible to keep the oem intake system and fit a turbo, the airbox is located where the intercooler pipe work needs to go.
i'll just go for the hks and be done with it :)

i did look in to a tial dumpvalve mr8 and it did look a good choice, didnt like the sound of it when i heard it on some videos though.

Thats cool. I just bought mine because of the design and strength of a few of the parts. I have no idea what it will sound like though.

it sounds good on an evo like yours mr8, but they sound really different on certain cars so i thought i'd play it safe, plus ive just ordered a fitting pipe with the hks flange already attatched, saves me a job welding 1 on.

what turbo you going to be using and how much boost internal wastegate or external? if your running quite high boost the HKS would be the only one i use
im not lazy im just chilled

starting off 7-10psi on the TO4E thats in the kit, then i'll be running a bigger turbo at about 25psi ;) will be an external wastegate on both, probably a tial wastegate because the greddy is to expensive.
