Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)

Nice result B)

Defo sort the handling before more power that will make a big difference :)

What boost controller / actuator have you got ?

The boost seems to drop off a little through the rev range...

1 bar at 3500rpm, 0.8 at 7500 rpm.

Might gice you another 15 or 20 bhp at the top end ;)

Not only that, something like an AVCR makes sooo much difference to spool up too - it stops the actuator opening until the desired boost pressure is reached, whereas a bleed valve will always leak as they open gradually (unlike a solenoid).

If I were to push the turbo any more I think it would give they say 180 is about the most you should push them..

I do agree AVCR or such like would be a good idea but thats next years project, along with a remap and bigger turbo but i am not sure how far I want to go.. I think I need to set myself a limit other wise I could keep on going

Need to start working on the winter project other wise the car will never been ready

amnesia, she is losing boost at top end because the turbo just isnt big enough to cope :) not much point in pushing it further as it will just become really unneficient and the intake temps will go up more than desired

Is it not more likely just to be boost control issue?

The boost looks very like most car profiles, in that it peaks then tails off. You see much better "held" boost with a controller.

I reckon that combine with some leaning (looks very rich) would see you a lot of power released!

The curves themselves look very nice and smooth though.

Agree with DBM... if it makes 1bar at 4k it should make 1 bar at 8k.
