ok as you know i now have some damage to my door and wing on the drivers side, so i thought i might replace the panels instead due to rust etc, i had thought about buying some oem carbon wings for the civic so was just looking out of interest to see what carbon panels were available for the sol, so far ive decided upon some new carbon panels i'll order up early next year, some will get painted to be discreet others will be left. reason behind the carbon idea is the fact that a) it saves weight and B ) carbon cant rust, sols being prone to rust problems. while looking through the options i had a look through bonnets, i thought at first maybe a vented bonnet due to only having the 1 cutout at the front bumper& no grille which will be filled by the intercooler when i boost it so the cooling vents might help engine temperatures, however i decided to go for an oem carbon one. the next decision was a little bit more difficult and i still havent made it, they dont do oem carbon front fenders, but they do make carbon fibre fenders in 2 vented styles, laser and z3. im thinking i might get some of the laser fenders and have them sprayed the same a sthe car, little bit of weight loss, not too lairey in terms of bodykit/vents and might actually work with it being a 2 seater convertible. what do you think: Laser ![]() Z3 ![]() what do people think, yay or nay? i cant decidee what to do, im thinking either the carbon laser fenders or just stick with oem metal fenders. |

ive already decided on the oem carbon bonnet, carbon roof, oem carbon rear spoiler, carbon rear number plate panel and carbon boot, most of it will get sprayed i think, unless i can get carbon doors, rear quarters and bumpers to finish it off

How do standard wings (new) compare to CF 's in price? Because standard steel ones won't weigh much more than carbon ones anyway and the money could be spent on other carbon goodies... |

second hand wings £50-100 each, carbon wings £280 a pair. it was more to do with the design tbh kev, i can't make my mind up on staying oem lines or going for something a little bit different without going for a huge bodykit. |

Out of the 2 i prefer the top ones, still quite subtle whilst being different too. Besides, the others look like cheap Z3 copies and not quite right, which i dont think is a good thing. Not that i really need to say, but.... If you aren't going to paint it make sure the weaves all match, have seen a few cars with CF front ends and the grill was different to the bonnet! which looks gash! painted obviously removes this problem Who's is/was the red one??? |

the top wings are the laser which is what im thinking of getting, but i think i'll spray them the same as the car as it can look a little bit odd having the wings raw aswell. i think i know which car your on about but i dont know who owns it, i do agree though the weave needs to match, hopefully it should as 12tune products are top quality from what ive seen and come highly recommended. |

At a guess i would say: - Wings - £280 Bonnet - £400 Roof - £300 Spoiler - £250 Rear Panel - £300 Boot - £300 Close??? I recently purchased a boot, bonnet and spoiler for my scooby, lets just say didn't get much change from £1500!!!!!!! |

i'll be completely honest i havent priced a total, you were close with some guesses kev, prices being in euros i will convert them now for each panel: bonnet - £305 roof - £242 wings - £277 numberplate panel - £277 dash panel - £54 spoiler theres no price online, and the boot i think was around £250-300 |

was a very good set of guesses, not far out on all but the bonnet. spoiler being 1 of the smaller items looks like it'll be the most expensive then lol. i'll give you a pm in a couple of months when i start buying the panels. |

yeah the 2 turbos ive been thinking about are the t25 and td04h, need to do abit more reading up on them, do you know the differences in spool up times and the max power capability? i want a good spool up and still handle 300-350bhp. |

i cant see 350bhp being easy to get without a LOT of work mate, considering the amount of work/money you have to do to get that power on a 2ltr engine E.g. SR20DET. Would probably need a slightly bigger turbo for that power too |
