Just wondering what peopel get out of their respective car/mods fuel wise?? To make it easier we'll say that petrol is £1 per litre, so if you can fit £40 in your car to fill it we'll say thats 40 litres. 0.22 litres in a Gallon so 40 X 0.22 = how many gallons you fuel tank takes. Then Divide how many miles you can do on a full tank and divide it by the amount of gallons you tank takes and you'll have the answer! Soooo the equation is.... Litres of fuel X 0.22 = Gallons. Miles on a tank / Gallons = Miles per gallon Here's mine using the most miles I've ever got out of a full tank taking it steady on motorway... 60 X 0.22 = 13.2 250 / 13.2 = 18.9 miles per gallon. ...and probably an average tank... 60 X 0.22 = 13.2 150 / 13.2 = 11.3 miles per gallon. :ph43r: |

I cant work that out :ph43r: But I roughly get 25 miles to £5 of fuel, my tank takes about £50 to fill up! But it varys widely on how I drive the car and wether its on a run or not. When I first got used to it, I was lucky to get 18 miles to a gallon |

LOL... it's not that hard... I'll try and explain my example better to show 60 X 0.22 = 13.2 250 / 13.2 = 18.9 miles per gallon. The 60 is how much I put in the tank, £60 or 60 litres multiplied by 0.22 = 13.2 gallons. The most miles I've ever got out of one tank was about 250 so divide 250 miles by 13.2 gallons and you get 18.9 miles per gallon.

My tank is meant to be 60lt but have never put that much in. So based on say 55lt and 280 miles from light to light thats 23.1mpg On a run can squeeze 300 thats just under 25mpg My old Renault Scenic would do a consistant 34mpg according to the trip computer so am quite happy with the scoob figures

S2000 45 X 0.22 = 9.9 240 / 9.9 = 24.2 Evo 8 (sold) 50 X 0.22 = 11 220 / 11 = 20 Those were normal figures, although I can get 300 from the S at best. At worst the Evo was well into single figures! |

Recently did a round trip of 240 miles to surrey which included town, motorway and fast A-road driving and the scoob returned 30mpg. On the trip to castle coombe this year, including the track session I still got 25mpg. I put t down to the mini scoop! |

Quite true. I actually worked mine out as Jay was asking me at the weekend what the Rex did to the gallon and I didn't know for sure. It's also a good reference page for people thinking of moving on to a different car.
