well my idea of mods is alloys induction kit, and exhaust anything like an intercooler is bonus, i do prefer cars lowered but thats it for mods not really into engine managment side or upping boost etc.

you wont find a lot of difference to the mr2 tbh mate, only at top end where the 2 would be quicker
[GK-customfield]Lewis[customfield-GK]
Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)

The early wagons were rated at 220ps and the saloons 240ps upto 1994 and 260ps upto 1996.

For the money you want to spend id say you would be looking at a pre 96 car and probably JDM.
Obviously the parts are interchangeable from saloon to wagon the difference being the wagon ran the smaller TD04 turbo and the saloon ran the bigger TD05 turbo, injector size were the same 380cc

A turbo change would also need an ECU change preferbely to a Z4 which would take about 10 mins to fit which would give an instant 40bhp,add a full decat it could be up around the 280bhp mark.....up the boost from 0.9 to 1.1bar and your see about 300bhp

The only pulsar you would get for £2300 would cost you a lot of money because something would be wrong with it... ;)
