Souldn't you be doing at least 1000 miles on low revs -3500rpm then an oil change and check over if its a new engine???

its not brand spankers came out of a 96 gts so its all good, i'm not thrashing it but juist making sure it'll cope, everything has been changed and appears to be working well and oil will be changed early next week when sandwich plate goes on, plus i'm off to 3s in hants which is an mr2 specialist and they do a health check.

theres many ways to run an engine in, (not that ross needs to) the way i'm going to be doing it in the charade is put crappy mineral oil in and take it for a spin straight away, do 50 miles of low load rev runs up to nearly the limiter then let off the throttle to allow the vacuum to pull the rings out to bed in better.

Runs nicely dont it ross ;)

Starlet GT 1.3 forged engine, tdo4 turbo @ 1.25bar = 252bhp = SOLD :(

EDIT: Charade GTxx 993cc three cylinder turbo, 173bhp @ 1.4bar (should hit 200bhp with a larger throttle body, removing stupid high lift cams and a bit more boost)

yeah there is about 3 different ways to run in the engine properly, i didnt know if ross had had any internal work done whilst the new engine was out, i still gave mine a steady run in for 250-500 miles just to be safe as it had been sat standing for about a year.
still though im glad its all running tip top for ya ross.
