I bought my 200sx well over a year ago now, I got if for a good price because the paintwork was a bit shabby. I have been concentrating on making the car go better before sorting out the looks. Well I fitted my brakes at the weekend, so it goes and stops how I want. That meant it was time to get the new bumper on.

Its a standard S14a touring bumper, with the washer jets smoothed, R32GTR vents flushed in and the centre piece painted grey. The splitter has had two extra holes cut to aid air flow to the intercooler. I have a little ally panel I made up too, which I still have to fit, which helps direct the air.

I did all the chopping and fibreglassing. The bumper was second hand and had been bumped, so ANDY GILES (shameless plug) filled and smoother the top of the bumper B) He primed it , I prepped it (with Mr Giles keeping an eye on it) and then he painted it two tone.

Andy also painted some Calipers for me

I upgraded from standard 200sx iron 4 pots to skyline GTS calipers.

S14, S15 : 280mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)
R33 GTS-25T : 296mm x 30mm (4 pot sumitomo caliper)

Except I now have Mercedes SL55 AMG discs, which are 343mm B)

My cousin helped my change the brake fluid too, it stops MUCH MUCH better now!

Thanks to;
Andy Giles for the painting (and waiting for me to fit the bumper  )
My cousin Matt for helping me fit the brakes (doing most of the work :D )
Leesa for delivering the braided hoses
Daniel for breaking his car and having braided hoses to hand!!!! :)

Next its semi slick tyres and a better diff/gearbox

Cheers guys, oh I also ditched the leather seats for S15 seats. A few kilos lighter and much nicer to seat in! No more sliding around and a sweaty bum crack

out with the old

Awesome Paul, cant wait to see your car out on track at Trax in a couple of weeks. That little combination should make it a wicked adversary

As for harnesses they are all pretty much the same, OMP, Luke, Willans, Sabelt etc

I prefer the 3inch one but Jon runs a 2inch Sabelt.

Again preference as he also had the seatbelt connection where as i used to have the FIA approved aero buckle thing. Basically the same harness that is used in the very fast Nissan race car ;) ok slight over kill and that was a 6 point as opposed to my 4 lol.

They all do the same thing so up to you. I prefered 3 inch aero buckle Sabelt but that was based on asthetics (yeah ok ok) as well...

The MOT takes into account the actual seat belt, so providing you still have that the car passes. My DC2 had both and never had a problem with the MOT.

TBH though the harnesses are a real pain for day to day driving. They might seem like a great idea to start with but trust me after a few weeks you soon get bored, hence why I kept the normal one.

Harnesses are great for track use though. You can take your mind off slipping around and just concentrate on driving.

Paul, you might want to try this CG lock. It might be better than a harness with your seats ;)

Mine was only a cheap harness, but it does the job ;)

Yer I was thinking about one of those. I think it only holds your ass in the seat though, it doesn't really pin you back.
