The best place is where the rest of the cables come from. Look in the engine bay and find out, should come out near the glove box or center console. |

alot of cars if you look carefully on the firewall have an un-used hole with a rubber grommet in them already, usually its near the battery in a foot-well area. mine was hard to find tucked away. |

i normally find one where the main loom goes in or if has blank where if it was lhd the shaft would go through. a metal coat hanger can be a friend! |

which z do you have? i have a z32 there are two ways to get the cable through one via the wing on the passenger side and the other is via a grommet hold in the bulkhead. there is one which i ran my alarm cables through just down to the right of the break servo . its a pig to find so get a screwdriver and push it through the hole. lie under the dash (drivers side) and put your arm up towards the middle next to the clutch pedel (if manual) you should feel the screwdriver protruding through. any probs give me a shout |

It's a Z32 too. Thanks all - will investigate grommets with screwdrivers and coat hangers close to hand! |
