Mugen Civic Si To Hit The States

Just heard this news on another site

"Honda and MUGEN have spawned the new Civic Si - a sedan bred strictly for the streets.
MUGEN, which has been associated with performance tuning parts for years, has fully tricked out the Civic Si. With a US price tag of $30,000 your Civic will arrive fully loaded with MUGEN suspension kit, forged alu wheels, bodykit and performance exhaust system.
The suspension was tested out in Japan at the Twin Ring Motegi circuit and drops the Civic by 0.6 inches from standard by using a combined spring and damper set up. The stock 17-inch rims have been cast away and replaced with 27 percent lighter, 18-inch alloys. The bodykit package combines a front lower lip spoiler, race grille (complete with MUGEN Si badge), side skirts, trunk spoiler and lower diffuser.

"Enthusiasts have equated the name MUGEN with JDM Honda performance for decades, and with the introduction of the Civic Si Sedan, the time is right for the two companies to once again join forces," said John Mendel, senior vice president of American Honda. "A MUGEN-tuned vehicle available directly from the factory provides the ultimate level of performance, quality and refinement in a specially-tuned car."

Honda US revealed a prototype Civic MUGEN Si at the SEMA show 2006 in Vegas last month and dealers will be taking orders from spring 2007. With only a 500 unit’s produced per year, this special edition Civic is set to be Honda's hottest yet.

Unfortunately there are no plans to release the car outside the U.S, so the rest of us will have to dribble with envy as this performance sedan hits the streets. "

Maybe its old news just thought it might be of interest seeing as it is 8th gen

That does look pretty smart. Why do we never get the nice cars over here?

The Civic Dominator was a very cool looking car. I'd like to see them produce that. Doubt they ever will now they're doing the SI :(
