You mean to tell me you can't read a map or is it because you want another keyboard to tap on?

Sat-Nav is for people who suck at life

LMAO!

Fair comment!!

I can read a map fine but it's quite difficult to do so whilst driving! (and the other half can't read a map to save her life!)

I just want on e for convienience TBH mate, I get fed up with printing off instructions from AA route planner if I want to go anywhere.

:o No mobile, but how do you listen to music/call people/ play games/check the net/take pics/recieve rude pics and generally pass time while on the move lol

RE: sat nav, my bro hsa the tom tom and its ok, personally i dislike sat nav as it will always go wrong at least once. That said his sat nav has come in usefull twice now (albeit in about 3 years)

I used to have it as part of my lovely pioneer avic x1 HU and i used that a few times cos it was the shizz :afro:

I always use a map. Used it for Europe and others for round the UK. Granted not the easiest way of things, but its cheaper than SAT nav.

Just dont give Frampo printed directions EVER!!!

Don't have one myslef! But Tom tom seems to be the best! Used Tom tom to get to Santa Pod last year and it was clear and easy to follow!
My Dad got a Road Angel Sat nav for xmas and it doesn't seem as clear or easy to use!

seeing as i go to quite a few shows throughout the year ect i purchased a sat nav just before xmas. its a pda based system that uses tom tom navigator 5 . its brilliant just like my dads tomtom 700. really user friendly and safer that a map.

With older gps chipsets you will get this problem in places with crowded with high buildings.... this is due to the signal bouncing all over the show hence it can get a bit confused.... you might want to consider upgrading to something with the latest sirfstar 3 chipset.

I use myne even when I know where I am going since it always reminds me of the speed cameras and possible speed traps.

It is also handy as it takes you straight to the door of where you want to go (specially good where you got a road that is very long)... also comes in very handy when I go abroad and hire a car... since it means I can explore a place hassle free.

My setup is phone/pda combo with tomtom 6 and btooth gps ...I find this good in the way that if a better chipset gps unit comes out, thats all I have to change.

I would defenently recomend tomtom since the net is just crowded with so many things like POI's and voices that make it more joyfull.

Got an Old Medion PDA with Satnav, So far not let me down in either Uk or abroad. Got me to and from UK via either Holland or france ok, Just a bit of a pain as it uses SD cards and have to keep changing them for each country. However would not be without it now, you should try read a map or remember which way to go on the ring roads round Rotterdam
