or you could go for the TD05 20G would be cheaper to replace and could handle more power, i take it you have gone fully forged or are you going to run low boost on standard internals?

the standard internals will take about 400bhp. with the gt28rs and the correct mapping he'll get about 340-350bhp but it'll nearly be at the flow limit of the turbo

Stevey, jase has got 550 nismos and a stage 2 horsham chip should be pushing 300 odd bhp but it just doesnt run right pigging thing

TBH The gearbox will give up soon after and the internals as Justbutts knows wont last long at 350 bhp . Ill probaly only go to 320 on this 200 ... Might look into forged next year

then why does horsham developments sell the stage 3a ecu upgrade for it that makes between 340bhp-360bhp on standard internals? i'm pretty sure he doesnt sell it to blow your engine to pieces?

I'd go for a Horsham Developments stage 3a setup TBH. I know I would if I had a better car lol. You'll need a Garrett GT2871R for that, better than the GT28RS marginally. And ofcourse you'll need injectors as you've mentioned plus you need an 300ZX (Z32) MAF too. Think Jez from Horsham made 347BHP odd on that setup with standard internals etc. In my opinion the standard engine internals are fine and I've seen 200's right up to 500bhp on standard parts. Like you say the gearbox lets it down hence why you need to run as smooth a power curve as possible to put the least amount of stress on gearbox/running gear.

If only I can get my car running properly :wallbang: like lewis said it should in theory be just short of 300bhp and thats on H-DEV Stage 2 setup with a Garrett GT28R (S15) turbo!

It probaly will last but TBH i use my car for a every day runaround , and i havnt the time to be upgrading to dog internals gearbox ( Or sumthing along those lines ) . + I feel 320 BHP should be Ok untill i move on to somethink bigger , The GT3071R is a nice turbo but as im not going over 350 , im gonna use the gt28rs so

Well from what I can gather I think you should run a top mounted GT28RS for sheer drivability and the sh*t hot looks of the thing. Although you do have to look after them, my stainless tubular manifold has tarnished really badly, it almost looks rusty now LOL

I'm unsure to how u can convert it top mount , Or someone who can convert it , Cos the greddy top mount kits arent cheap :rolleyes:

to get to a Top mounted GT28RS! Thats what Stevey really wants ;) Although it would be a lot of hard work. I don't think they make the top mount manifolds with a T2 flange for one so thats the first snag lol

hi all sorry not been on site much. i lost my way since the cars been off the road.

good to see the car still evolving stevey :thumbsup:

no jez dosent develop chips that will blow engines, the 3A chip was developed on/and custom mapped to my car with no det at all so should be bullet proof for most.

the main problem was i failed to make routine checks to my engine oil, and twice it was not on the dipstick and the fact that i throw my car into corners shifting what little oil in the sump that was left over to one side starved the bearings of oil.

i then later found out that i had both forward and aft crank seals leaking and thats where the oil had gone. i caught it before i spat a rod out the block but obviously the damage was already done.

like most car engines, the SR20 will last a long time at higher powers if they are looked after properly.

Right well ive been a busy man with work etc ... But i finally managed to source some parts ive been looking for ... Got myself a new rear bumper without rivets in the side. And finally after many days of scouring ebay etc i found a fuse box cover :D

Anyway decided to fit the parts over the weekend
