Sign and pass it on. It only takes a minute. The government's proposal to introduce road pricing will mean you having to purchase a tracking device for your car and pay a monthly bill to use it. The tracking device will cost about £200 and in a recent study by the BBC, the lowest monthly bill was £28 for a rural florist and £194 for a delivery driver. A non working Mum who used the car to take the kids to school paid £86 in one month. On top of this massive increase in tax, you will be tracked. Somebody will know where you are at all times. They will also know how fast you have been going, so even if you accidentally creep over a speed limit you can expect an NIP with your monthly bill. If you care about our freedoms and stopping the constant bashing of the car driver, please sign the petition on No 10's new website. http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/ |

Just yet another incentive to join the lawbreakers -- no tax, no mot, no insurance, no tracker? What absolute crap this country is becoming! I can't actually see this happening, I think the european court of human rights would have something to say about perfectly law abiding citizens being monitored with every step they take -- but I've been wrong before. Sign the petition. |

[GK-customfield]Jeff![customfield-GK]The Prelude, in many ways, is a typical Japanese car but I would always put it in a list of all-time fave raves because its V-Tec engine is just so amazingly sweet. I've said before that this is the best mass produced engine of all time, and I'll say it again now. J.C. (But, to be honest, in 1997!) | |

Totally agree with the above, just shocking really, but would all the money raised go back into public transport or improving the roads? I doubt it.. Big Brother really is gonna be watching you.. Couldnt get the link to work so will try again later, theres another petition link for motorcyclists and the fact that speed cameras have been proved to be inacurate on 'bikes, its on the same site somewhere I believe.. Stealth all the way..! |
