ive always looked at skylines as being quite rare, but on my 20 minute journey to work this morning i seen 4 skylines, a silver r34 gtr turning down to pimperne, a grey r33 gts in spetisbury, a yellow r33/r34 gtr with a big wing on the rear (was going quick cant remember if its r33 or 34) turning onto the poole dual carriageway and then a silver r32 gtr in upton with a carbon bonnet and abbey motorsports stiker on the boot. like i say ive always looked at skylines to be quite rare, now im seeing them more and more often (not that im complaining, or atleast i wouldnt be if i was the guy driving it). not only that but i noticed a little item on the number plates, alot of them end in haa, ive seen 3 different skylines ending in it haa lately on the reg plate, ive always seen haa on a supra and my neighbours mitsi pajero, just thought its rather strange unusual to see the same ending on so many cars, and all of them r jap. anybody else noticed either of this lately? |

that yellow one is a gtst which makes me doubt the grey one was a GTR aswell, they are very rare with only about 3 around these parts, the GTST versions of the 32,33 and 24 are quite common though |

Like many import cars they will become more popular as time goes on. RX7's used to be as rare as Unicorn droppings but as they get older and don't have to have the model report for the SVA test they get brought over. There are still not many R34 GTR's over here but give it time and they become 10+ years old you will see more. |

Skyline's are very capable cars, so people will want to buy them. I doubt if they were GTR's though. You don't see that many GTR's around (but you could of been lucky) Alot of people will want the GTR, but I excpect alot can't afford the insurance (I know I cant  ), so they will buy the GTS/GTST. I do see alot of GTS's about, they are becoming more common. I think TBH that has alot to do with the name 'Skyline' and the fact that the GTS isn't that expensive to insure. People can have the name for not alot of cash. The more people find out about what the Skyline is about, the more people will want one. As for the HAA on the plate, I'd have thought that has something to do with the fact that all the cars you have mentioned are imports. It could be a reg that is put on imported cars when the DVLA register it in the country. I don't know for sure, just a thought. |

I think a lot of imports tend to be given similar number plates unless the owner has selected something. I have seen a few imports with same 3 digits as mine. As for the R32 in Upton, i reckon there is a good chance that was a GTR. No ordinary GTR either, supposedly 550+BHP. It might not be, but sounds like it could be Harvey from Lychett R32 GTR. |

Yep certainly seen a few about, but like you said Jon, many arent GTRs.. Love em though!! As for the plate, I think AA is quite a local area old style prefix/suffix or whatever (!) As for my RA, it was issued with OFX. FX is local too and Ive seen loads of imports with OFX.. Think I had this conversation with someone on Sunday at the Sunray! Rob, your RX is an OFX isnt it? |

Thats why so many 'importers' have them because they see Skyline on the auctions and buy them. |

Agreed. Mine was given a plate chosen by the owner that imported it. It has his initials - J70 SCS. I might change it because it makes it look older than it is ![]() Mark |

im quite sure the silver skyline in upton was a gtr as ive seen it everyday this week and unless they have put gtr badges on a gts then it must be, sounds highly tuned though. and the r34 gtr turning toward pimperne is definately a r34 gtr as ive seen it quite alot and was actualy parked up next to it a few weeks ago, think the reg was s2 gtr. as for the yellow skyline i dont doubt it was a gts, was hard to tell when it was going that fast and im driving a slow as fuck van lol. i think you also forgot another skyline i do believe, there was a 1.8l non turbo skyline made in the r33 model, but not only that, it has 5 doors! looks really odd, seen it for sale the other day on an importers website. |

s2 gtr is definately a gtr i've seen the car close up. The gts-t has a lot rounder body shape (especially the rear)than the gtr. They also made the Stagea which was an estate version and had a multitude of engines including the gtr version. |

Yup its quite difficult to disguise a GTS as a GTR if you really know what you are looking at IMO. I saw a white R34 around Wareham way the other day, and nearly stained myself. I will have one ![]() I too have heard of people buying a "Skyline" without realising that its not a GTR. It shocks me that someone would do this, but it happens. I think BonJegley owns most of the Skylines round here though ![]() There's one being resprayed in Wareham at the mo, a 33GTR which apparently has over 1000 bhp. I questioned this but apparently it has, and its a drag car. Nicest Skyline I have seen is BlowDog's from GTROC. 100k's worth! ![]() http://bbs.scoobynet.com/members-gallery-5...ghlight=Skyline MB |

Here's a fact to amaze your friends with: The R34 Z-tune cars were built from secondhand shells that Nissan bought back from customers. |

'Yep not much you can see with the naked eye, apart from a badge.' and you can buy a badge and pretend its a V spec .As DBM said V spec is that exciting for the price only uprated suspension and a few body differences i think. |
