Haha  Classic A mate of mine from college used to have an EFI Maestro. It was a pretty rapid car Had a hell of alot of electronic stuff in it. There was a function in it that spoke to you, it would tell you how many miles you had left in the tank, tell you the temp/time etc

Hehe. Legendary vehicles  They made a Maestro turbo too, even quicker, but it was a bit of a design bodge and they had a habit of blowing up... |

I had a brand new Austin Montego as a company car for a few months back in 1983 or 4. It was utter crap. The build quality was appalling, and any of the body panels would crease or dent at almost the slightest touch. I actually dented the boot lid once by pushing down on it too hard when I closed it!! At the time, we could choose from a Montego, Cavalier or Sierra, but the company withdrew the Montego option almost immediately due to unreliability and running costs. I wonder how much they had to pay Noel Edmonds to do the ad??? |

[GK-customfield]Jeff![customfield-GK]The Prelude, in many ways, is a typical Japanese car but I would always put it in a list of all-time fave raves because its V-Tec engine is just so amazingly sweet. I've said before that this is the best mass produced engine of all time, and I'll say it again now. J.C. (But, to be honest, in 1997!) | |
