Ambassador: Madame Ségolène Royal, Fifth Chairwoman of the Party, Minister of Foreign Affairs

Whether Minister Royal meets you inside the luxurious Palace or in the lavish gardens there is an air of renewed vigor old place. The Palace is a madhouse of chaotic industry as the Bureaucracy has made it its home. But once you get through the lobby led by an ambitious young secretary you come into the calm of the western side of the Palace where Royal has her office. A large window over looks the massive and ornate gardens. Gendarmes are posted at the end of every corridor and will director to where ever you need to go, so long as you have clearance. Everyone is welcome.

If your ambassador finds he is unable to fly to Paris, then you are certainly welcome to similar embassies in our over seas territories of French Guiana(South America), New Caledonia(Oceanic-Southeast Asia), and the Isle of Reunion(Southern Africa.) There you man speak with Madame Royal via internet, still face to face on big screen.

Memo To the Friend of France,

Dearest friends in the international community, you are all welcome to speak with me in France. In fact, I hope that we all will speak together, whether in Versailles or not. But if you will allow it, I'd love to host your visit to my beloved country. If you are reading this and make an effort to open diplomatic relations then France will be sure to listen and I will be anxious to work with you for the combined interests of both our peoples.

May God put our countries on similar paths,
Ségolène Royal, Fifth Chairwoman of the Party, Minister of Foreign Affairs

A jet black limo rolled up to the front of the large embassy of France. Soon after the car parked itself, the tall Irish ambassador, Brian McGuinness stepped out from the back.

The Irishman walked up to a guard, a small, gntle smile on his face as he obviously enjoyed the view before him.
"Good to see ye. I'm the representative of the United Republic of Ireland, and I'd like to speak with whatever diplomat you have available here."

The Gendarme inclined his head slightly and motioned for McGuinness to follow him. "Right this way, Monsieur Ambassador." The Irish Diplomat was led through a throng of desks, down a corridor and past an open room full of shouting people watching numbers rise and fall on a large, electronic board at the center of a mass of yet more people. When the two came to a closed door in a quiet hallway the Gendarme turned to McGuinness. "Madame Royal shall see you, I shall announce you."

When the two walked in Ségolène was leaning back in her tall-backed chair, looking out at the gardens. The Gendarme announced the ambassadors home country then backed out of the room. Ségolène turned and smiled at the Irishman and motioned him to sit down in one for the comfortable chairs before her desk. "Hello Monsieur, McGuinness, is it not? I'm glad you've came, what can France do for you?"

McGuinnes smiled and sat down immediately.
"Well thank ye for the warm welcome, sir. Seeing as how you have a command economy, I wished to stop by to invite you to the International Vanguard, an alliance of socialist brothers from all corners of the world. We think that France would certainly be a great asset to our organization and we can collectively help you out as well, in times of economic or political turmoil."

Madame Royal pondered this momentarily. Deep in thought, she gazed over the shoulder of McGuinness at an interact globe of the world in the corner of her office. "What would this require of France, if say an ambitious China were to invade our socialist friends in Indochina. This is just a scenario that I must foresee, China is powerful much more than France or Ireland, or even a coalition with of the two. Would France be required to throw her sons at the might of the Asian giant?"

McGuinness nodded as he listened before leaning back and replying.

"Well, your concern is understandable, but I think it is of my fault for not going into more details. Military aid actually isn't required, though it is encouraged, and there is never anything to fear about some one having "too much manpower" Russia and North Korea, two very highly militarized nations are both in the Vanguard as well. And if France were to join as well, that would just make the Vanguard even more invulnerable."

"There are also technological advantages to joining. You will immediately receive techs that have been researched in joint efforts by all the members of the Vanguard. They are top of the line, and nothing on the battlefield can possibly compare to say, our Slezka tanks. The only condition is that you may not share these techs with any nation outside of the Vanguard."

The Irishman took a small packet of information out of his briefcase and put it on the desk in front of the French ambassador.

"Hmm, yes. Very well." said Royal looking at the information, she had already gone over. "Forgive the silly scenario with China, I do not doubt the Vanguard's power. But I will not ask for forgiveness for my hesitation, after all it is my job. As long as there are no other clauses France would be willing to extend it's friendship in the form of this treaty."
