Overview:

Welcome to the World of Darkness World Project.
The World of Darkness is an alternate reality set in modern times, but in which supernatural, vile and sometimes purely evil entities live in the hidden; Vampires, Werewolves, Poltergeists, Zombies, Ghouls are just some of the creatures that lurks and preys on humanity.
Fortunately for humanity, hunters do exist; Humans who are out to eradicate anything that preys on the innocent.
But the world is never just white and black, it is filled with all kinds of grey.
Not all "monsters" are truely monsters; Some vampires never kill human prey; Some werewolves would rather die themselves than claw down someone who doesn't deserve it. And not all hunters are pure and just servants of humanity; Some do it for money, some for perverted pleasure.

That is the concept on which the World of Darkness World Project is built upon.

The majority of the World Project is going to be centered around London, but the possibility to end up on a personal quest or an assigned mission to other parts of the UK or even the other side of the world does exist.

The Werewolves

Werewolves; Humans able to turn into fierce half man, half wolf beasts, feared throughout history and surrounded by many saga's and myths.
There beasts are often perceived as vile and uncontrolable, but that if far from the truth about most of the Werewolf kin, althrough some psychotic specimen does indeed exist and spread chaos and death any place they roam.

Not all werewolves are alike, and while there are many great simularities between the different types, those in the know usually divide the werewolf kin into 3 groups:

The Lupus
The Lupus werewolves are the child of werewolf and a wolf kinfolk.
The Lupus usually often at an early age realise they are different from the rest of the pack they are growing up with. They possess unnaturally high levels of logical and intelligent thinking compared to the wolves they are raised along side of and often experience their first change around the age of 2.
Not all pups born by a werewolf and a wolf kinfolk becomes lupus werewolves; Some just become kinfolk with who future werewolves can breed in an attempt to gain a werewolf off-spring and with whom the werewolves can have a closer relation than with ordinary wolves who senses something odd about the werewolves even if the werewolf is in wolf-form.
Lupus werewolves feel most comfortable in their wolf form and most at ease while surrounded by nature, living in the wild. Few Lupus ever learn to truely understand human society, language and often feel uneased and frightened inside cities.

The Metis
The Metis are the offspring of two werewolves mating together.
It is frowned upon in werewolf society to get this kind of pure offspring, sometimes leading to the termination of those werewolves indulging in the act and of the offspring, althrough it is innocent of it's own becoming.
Metis werewolves are often born with some deformities that show no matter what form they take.
Metis are the most adaptable form of werewolves, fitting in just as easily in wolf and in human societies, but never truly understanding either as good as Lupus knows wolf society or homid knows human society.
Metis are born and feel most comfortable in Crinos form.

The Homid
The Homid are the offspring of a werewolf and a human kinfolk.
The homid werewolves are usually raised in human societies, unaware of their own true nature, but feel that they don't belong in society and at some point, usually at the end of their teens, they find out why, as the first change happens.
More so than Lupus, the first change is often violent with homid werewolves, as their feeling of disbelonging in society makes many of them angry at their surroundings, feelings that are let full ablaze during the first change on anyone or anything unfortunate enough to be nearby when the change happens. Indeed, many Homid werewolves experience the first change like a black-out from which they recover to find themselves soaked in the blood and remains of friends, family or, for the lucky ones, foes.
Homid werewolves feel most at home in human society, the nature of the wolf pack seems strange to them and finding the methods of communicating through bodylanguage and howls alone quite difficult.
