Vlad Dracul, 8th seat of Valhalla's first division, sat in the lone window of his bare office reading a much abused paperback book. The front cover faced away from the door, obscuring the title and author from the casual onlooker peeking in.

On Vlad's desk laid a pile of paper work that had yet to be finished. It was much smaller than the pile beside the desk of completed paper work that had yet to be filed. He had yet to frighten, *cough* or that is, find an underling to do it for him. Who would have thought that the service of lessers would degrade over time?

An unranked member of the first division looked inside the office. Vlad looked at her out of the corner of his eye and slowly, meneceingly grinned. "Ah, the police girl, won't you come in?" he said with false politeness.

"My name is Victoria, sir."

"You are Police Girl until you have shown a reason to call you anything else." Vlad pointed at the stack of papers by his desk. "Take those to where they need to go."

The young member fumed for a second before caveing and picking up the large stack and leaving Vlad to his book.
"If you meet the Buddha, kill him. If you meet your father, kill your father. Free of all and bound by nothing, you live your life simply and as it is."

The book was a fast read. Well, for Vlad anyway given how many times that he had read it since it was published. He unfolded his long body from the window sill, coming to his feet in one smooth, snake like motion. Ignoring the work needed to be done on his desk, Vlad opened the lowest drawer and dropped his book, Dracula by Bram Stoker, on top of his collection of Hellsing comics. It was amusing in a pitying way how he had been equated with vampires after his demise.

Vlad picked his jacket from where it lay over the back of his office chair and shrugged it on. Lillith, his gungnir, had not left his side while relaxing in his office.

As he walked out the door, he holstered his spirit cannons and ignored calls after him about not wearing the uniform. Vlad was the bloddy prince of Wallachia, he did what ever he wanted to.
