Yelan strolled calmly through the corridors, resting both hands behind his neck. The hallways were surprisingly empty, but that was most likely because they had purposely confined him to an area that didn't have as many of those strange looking hollows (apparently called arrancar) walking around. The young boy probably looked more strange to them, considering he was wearing black shinigami robes. Well, he didn't like them very much either, but for the facade he had to portray it was necessary. 'So I made it inside Aizen's ranks...I guess next on the list would be to gain his trust,' the young xueshi vizard thought. Yelan was still a bit surprised himself that it had been relatively easy to get permission to stay. He couldn't tell though if it was because his plea of loyalty to Aizen was actually believable, or if it was something else. His boss's plan was still constantly running through his mind; find out everything you can about Aizen himself and his plan, and report back when you get the chance. After spending a couple of days here, though, Yelan figured out that it was a bit easier said that done. Nobody was exactly opening up to him around here, and since Tousen had continued to keep his zanpakutou for the moment he couldn't exactly fight people for information either. "Bu hao, this really isn't as fun as I thought it was going to be," he muttered quietly, with a childish pout. |

Some time had passed since he had found himself in charge of Hueco Mondo, it was a strange adjustment to be making, but he had gotten used to it rather quickly. The one thing he disliked were the people bowing down at his feet under false illusions, they did not care for his duty, or his plans, they just wished for power, enjoyed it. There where also the arrancar that openly objected to him, he was after all a shinigami, the eternal enemies of the hollow. It made certain days more interesting than others, but he could handle it, he had manipulated all of soul society, this would be no different. He stroked his hands softly through his dark hair, closing his eyes as he walked through the hallways, his concentration locked on to where he was headed, he wished to use the hyogyokou once more today. He had already created an arrancar today, he was truly pushing it with his newly acquired item and tool, it would likely destroy itself if he continued to use it the way he was, that would be troublesome. He opened his eyes as he slowed his walk noticing a man standing in the hallways on his own. "hm. Is there something I can do for you?" He could feel the strange power from the man, it felt kind of like that of his old captain after the process that Aizen himself had put him through, what could it be? But there was an evil feeling to her, a smile forming across his lips, to the vizard it just be a friendly greeting but to him it meant so much more. |

Yelan felt the spiritual pressure coming before he saw anyone. Even dulled down, though, he knew there was only one man it could be. The white-haired boy smirked gleefully to himself, almost amazed at his good fortune. 'And let the fun begin,' he thought with a silent chuckle. As usual, his inner hollow spoke up with his own reservations. 'Don't underestimate him...you should realize he likes to play games of his own,' Inakamono warned, the voice ringing sternly in his head. The vizard didn't have time to retort this time, though, as he heard a deep voice (this one out loud) from behind him. Yelan turned around quickly, his grin broad and playful, though he still gave a polite bow. "I should probably be asking you that," he replied, his tone bright. He stood up again, looking the former captain in the face. "Hyu, you really are much scarier that I remember you being, Aizen-sama," he exclaimed, bringing his hands down and resting them in his pockets. True enough, considering the last time he saw this man he was the always peaceful leader of Squad 5. Still, it didn't really matter to him how different or evil Aizen was now...Yelan's goal was only to figure out about the future. 'Time to put on the mask...though only figuratively this time around,' he thought, almost tempted to chuckle at his silent pun. The young boy titled his head, and brought up one hand to tap his chin thoughtfully. "I suppose I should explain what someone like me is doing here, neh?" Yelan said, half-speaking to himself, before looking back to the intimidating man with another smile. "My name's Yelan, a runaway shinigami of the Gotei 13. I'm here to fight for your cause, Aizen-sama, whatever it is," he said cheerfully, with another small bow of respect. He had fed the man the basics of his "story", now Yelan just had to see if he would take the bait, so to speak. Edited by Momo.Chii, Nov 22 2008, 08:56 PM.

Aizen studded the man for a moment, though his eyes would never give that away, he was rather intrigued by him. He was pretty sure he was there for reasons other than he was stating, but that would come to light soon enough, and if the vizard was there for the reason Aizen thought he was there for, then he would have to find a way of using that to his advantage, which wouldn't be difficult for one with such a brilliant mind. His fingers stroked through his soft hair once more as he looked the man calmly, peacefully. "It is nice to meet you Yelan, it is nice to meet you" Though he would need to put the person off guard before manipulating him like he did Momo, gain his trust. "You are formerly of the gotei, what use do I have for someone whom is an exile like Ichimaru and Tousen? I do not mean to insult you in anyway, so please do not be alarmed by my question, I simply wish to know what you can do." He remained charming, and friendly, almost completely honest. He had danced this dance a thousand times over the past few hundred years, he knew exactly what he was doing. Even if this person was there for reasons that where against Aizen, he would eventually be standing at Aizen's side, loyal completely to him. He raised his arms, crossing them in front of his chest, his hands sliding into the sleeves and he looked on at Yelan. |

Despite the man's friendly tone, Yelan briefly wondered how nice it was to actually meet him. The vizard knew Aizen was powerful, but he was surprised at how chilling this presence actually was, especially since he wasn't ever bothered by things like that. As an assassin for the Xueshi, he was used to being around unsavory characters, but he could already tell this man was going to be in a class of his own. Perhaps Inakamono was right, that he was already being tested on his every move. Still, he would have to continue to play his part, and remain confidence in his own skills of trickery. Once handed an assignment by the syndicate, there was no turning back. "Hmm, that's a good question," Yelan said, a thoughtful expression that was most-likely over exaggerated returned to his face. "The normal shinigami stuff, I suppose...like kidou and flash step," he explained nonchalantly. His light grey eyes glanced down to his waist. "And I did have a zanpakutou, but Tosen-sama is hiding it because he doesn't think I'm very 'trustworthy' yet," he continued, a slight smirk on his lips as he used air-quotes with the word trustworthy. It was treatment he had expected to get when he first got here, but he really was starting to feel a bit agitated not having Niirokairai with him, and he knew the sword felt the same. Yelan's gaze met Aizen's again, and he simply offered his usual, innocent grin. "I'm a good fighter, and I've been told I can be pretty sneaky, but beyond that I guess I'm nothing special," he said, with a shrug. Somewhere in his mind, he heard his inner hollow give a humorless laugh at being "nothing special" but Yelan promptly ignored it. "All I can say is that I'll be loyal to your cause, Aizen-sama. I really do hate the Gotei 13 now," the young boy added, his voice still bright, however he couldn't hide the sudden flash of genuine anger in his eyes. He may not actually be here for Aizen's army, but his hate for soul society is one thing that would always be true. Edited by Momo.Chii, Nov 24 2008, 03:49 PM.

Aizen's smile, so polite and sincere that it was hard to tell if he was genuinely happy or if his mind was working actively to find something. He didn't recognize the boy though, that troubled him, he thought he knew just about everyone attached to the gotei, this one had obviously escaped him. He found that particular fact strange, he never usually missed anything, and with a fierce reiatsu that this one was carrying, he was even more angry at himself for not paying enough attention. "There is something else, if you are to truly join with me, and become a member of the family hear in Hueco Mondo, I need you to be completely honest with me, give me that respect, and I will return it to you." His hands slid from within the sleeves of his robe, for a moment, seemingly reaching for something before stopping. "Tell me, why is it you have chosen this path? What goal is yours that it required you to become an exile of the gotei to come and join here with me?" |

Yelan was a bit surprised to hear the word 'family' being used to described Hueco Mundo. Aizen was perhaps many things, but being sentimental was not one of them the vizard had pictured. Then again, the boss would sometimes call the Xueshi a family, however it was much more in reference to the stereotypical mob family, and not anything that was actually caring or nurturing. It was doubtful that Aizen really meant it in that way either, but nonetheless it was interesting to have him use that choice of words. Realizing he was mulling too much over a simple two syllables, Yelan looked back to the ex-captain. "But I do respect you, Aizen-sama...that's why I chose to follow you," he said, with the earnestness of a child. In a way, he really did already respect Aizen for what he had done, though the honesty policy...well, that was something he couldn't follow as closely. For a split second, the vizard eyed the man carefully, as if trying to figure out if this was some sort of trick question. Knowing he would have to answer, though, he quickly put on a naive smile. "Goal?" he repeated lamely, running his hand through his short white hair. "Ano...can't say I thought that far ahead. I mean, I don't like soul society, and you're against them. It just seemed to make sense that I would come join with you," he continued, with a small shrug. The reply was simple, but taking into considering the character Yelan was portraying, he hoped it would be enough to satisfy. An idea popping into his mind, the vizard dared to keep going. "I mean, your plan is to destroy Soul Society, right?" he asked casually, still smiling. He doubted it would be this easy, but his job was to find out Aizen's plans...the question was worth a shot. |

He smiled gently, how naive of the boy to think that was his plan, his only plan. Soul Society was not worth destruction, his goal was something much much higher than that, a goal he didn't imagine any of them could truly understand. He didn't dislike the boy for it, it was very unusual for anyone to get Aizen, in fact, to this date he couldn't remember anyone who actually knew the real him. This thought brought a smile to his lips, a life that had been so built on lies and deceit, if only they all knew. "hm, so you travelled all the way here, with the only goal being to destroy Soul Society? Why would I wish to destroy soul society? The place is not worthy of my efforts. Don't get me wrong, to perform the deeds in which I wish to, we will need to cause damage to the Seireitei, so you will get your chance." The boy was just messing with him, he knew that much, putting on a naive smile, he had deceived so many people in his time that he knew what signs to look for, and this one was definitely attempting it. His hands remained within his robes as he smiled gently, in a reassuring manner. The best place to keep an enemy though, was within arms reach, he was wise enough to know that, especially if they where giving themselves over to his hand so easily. |

Internally, Yelan grimaced as he plan immediately backfired. Ah, well, he knew it couldn't have been that simple in the first place, though he hoped by risking the question he hadn't given away too much about himself. At first it didn't appear so, considering Aizen's demeanor didn't change in the slightest. Then again, that was something that wasn't exactly reassuring either, since his expression had remained the same the entire time so far. The vizard boy was beginning to realize how much of a challenge this mission was going to be. However, instead of bothering him, the thought was rather...exciting. At the syndicate, he had simply been doing years of assassinations, which had slowly been starting to loose its thrill. He often found the enemies of the Xueshi were really just idiots, and killing them just didn't bring the same pleasure. But now he was on a whole different kind of playing field, and suddenly he found himself having to hold back a giggle of delight. "Well, it really didn't take a lot of effort on my part to get here, and as long as you're gonna hurt Soul Society in some way, I still say I'm better off serving you," the boy said nonchalantly, the grin never leaving his face. He wouldn't push the subject of his true plans again, at least not right away, to avoid suspicious. He would find his chance, somehow. Another thought suddenly came to mind. He knew he was undercover, but perhaps he really could do some work against soul society while he was here...like killing two birds with one stone. 'Hyuu, the boss man didn't realize that he was doing me a favor by sending here,' he thought, silently praising himself for his own "genius". Yelan looked back to Aizen, moving his hands to rest lazily in the pockets of his black hakamas. "Neh, Aizen-sama, I know I shouldn't ask favors of you, but do you think you can get Tosen-sama to give my Zanpakutou back?" he asked, his tone a bit more polite as he tilted his head. "I don't think your Arrancar are gonna like me very much considering where I come from, so I would feel a bit safer having it with me," he explained, the request actually being a rather genuine one. |
