The Indian Embassy is a large gated compound done the embassy itself is an old manson, with bright red gabled roofs and cascades of ferns and flowers coming from cisterns built into the masonry. Indian troops clad in dress uniforms and each sporting an assault rifle stand at attention every few feet on the walkways of the compound, while military police with light sidearms man the exquisitely carved sandstone gates to enter the compound. And ceaseless tide of diplomats, bureaucrats, and secretaries hustle about their business in its halls, while businessmen and traveling civilians wander uncertainly towards their appointments or wait impatiently in crowded rooms for visas or consular assistance. |

'There is an art to being insane, being crazy is a simple matter of having a wacky idea." -Me In framing a government which is to be administered by men over men the great difficulty lies in this: You must first enable the government to control the governed, and in the next place, oblige it to control itself. -Alexander Hamilton, Author of the majority of The Federalist Papers In politics, as in religion, it is equally absurd to aim at making proselytes by fire and sword. Heresies in either can rarely be cured by persecution. -Alexander Hamilton Nothing is more certain than the indispensable necessity of government, and it is equally undeniable, that whenever and however it is instituted, the people must cede to it some of their natural rights in order to vest it with requisite powers. -John Jay, Another author of The Federalist Papers | |
