The embassy for the United Supreme Union is a complex that is smaller than one would imagine. It is a 2 story building, and one would guess looking at it that it probably has a couple dozen offices, but no more. It fits the motif of almost every other government building: a dark red brick, jet black shingles and a exceptionally steep slanted roof. There are very large glass windows along the front side of the building, but along all other sides there are slightly smaller than normal windows. In order to gain access to the embassy proper, one must pass through a series of 2 checkpoints, and then a final gate. The first of the checkpoints houses a lone armed guard who reads over the paperwork of those who enter. The second checkpoint is significantly larger, holding at least 3 separate rooms. An armed guard stands at the ready by the door, and a tall gentleman wearing the instantly distinguishable robes of a High Priest sits inside the entrance. There are no discernible windows on the sides, although there are obviously sky lights in the ceiling because you can see the sunlight on the floor. The Priest asks all visitors to the embassy to recite "The Holy Vows to the Supreme Lord" before passing. Visitors who refuse to do so are recorded and their resistance is passed along to the Ambassadors. The final gate is guarded by another lone guard, who checks paperwork once more before opening the shiny, black gate. As people approach the main entryway to the embassy, they notice the relative lack of trees. There are a couple of decorative shrubs, but there are no large trees. Rumors in the Union are that nothing is done without purpose; people have proposed this was done to make the embassy look larger. Entering the embassy, one cannot help but notice the large portrait of the Supreme Lord that hags directly behind the receptionist's desk. The young woman there kindly greets all visitors and arranges their meetings for them. ================================ Key Personnel: Petras Ugne: Head Diplomat and Ambassador for the Union Priest Shymbaliov: High Priest for the Foreign Affairs Division Edited by supremelord, Oct 26 2008, 09:08 PM.

Hendrik Rabane: I'm happy that you asked that question. The answer is a short and simple "yes". Ah economics. Hendrik put a smile on his face. Hendrik Rabane: We're offering a trade deal in the proposed alliance. here. Hendrik hands Mr. Ugne the documents he had been holding. Hendrik Rabane: As you can see, we're offering a share some of our economical strategies, which have proven usefull in the past. We're also, as said, offering a trade agreement and a shared stock market between our nations. |

Ugne picks up the document and scans the first few lines. Petras Ugne: This seems to be an excellent framework. While our government controls all industry in the Supreme Union, the creation of a shared stock market would provide for an influx of money between our great nations. Petras Ugne: The crux of the issue, it seems, shall be defense. We are currently also in negotiations with Atredia to sign an agreement for Mutual Defense and Optional Mutual Aggression. If this is the type of agreement on Defense that you had in mind, ambassador, then we would require one small concession: that your government accept the Supreme Union as the official religion of the Nordic Corporation. If such an action is not acceptable to you, then we may need to adjust the terms of the agreement. Ugne looks to the ambassador to see how he responds to this strong statement. |

Hendrik weighs this hevily on his mind before replying. Hendrik Rabane I would think that adopting the relligion of the supreme lord would be acceptable. Although not followed to the fullest. As a band-aid the northern corporation is focused on that you switch to a more acceptable economic system. Perhaps to a mixture of capitalistic and comunistic? |

@ Philsthemanalhack (OOC: Tips on what is going on here can be found on page one, 5th post) After passing through the original security point, the Ambassador from the FATF is first met by an armed security guard and a High Priest of the Supreme Union. Checkpoint Priest: His Holiness, the Supreme Lord, requests that all visitors recite the Holy Vows. Please do so now, or state your reason for objecting. ============================ @ magge Ugne is pleased to hear the acceptance of his term, but that is immediately subdued by the request from the Ambassador. Petras Ugne: The Supreme Lord will not assume any political power over your land, only spiritual. All we ask is that you allow our priests access to your lands to help your citizens find the faith. This is all we would require for our demand to be met. Ugne pauses here, gathering his thoughts and how we wants to word what he is about to say. Petras Ugne: As for the reformation of our economic sector. To be blunt, a complete switch away from the system of wealth distribution that we have always used is not a possibility. But perhaps a compromise can be reached. We shall allow your nation to sell goods directly to the government owned companies without having to pay the normal tariff fees. This will add millions of potential customers to your nation's client base, while still allowing our government control over our own economic affairs. Would this be an acceptable compromise? |

Hendrik had been thinking wrongly and the compromise would seem ok. Hendrik Rabane: Oh sorry i've wasnt thinking right. Of course the priests are welcome to our nation and spread your faith. As long as they obide by our nations laws, I wouldnt see any dificulties in that. As for your compromise. It would be acceptable mr. Ugne Hendrik then smiled at the ambassador |

The smile returns to Ugne's face upon hearing this news. Petras Ugne: Excellent to hear, ambassador! We shall work out the fine details of this alliance over the course of a few more days, but this with this framework in place I feel that both of our nations are better off than they were before your arrival. Is there anything more that I can do for you? |

Hendrik picks up his briefcase and stands up from his chair. Hendrik Rabane: Thank you for your time ambassador. He stretches his hand out. |

Ugne stands and shakes the ambassador's hand, and then escorts him to the door of his office. He closes the door behind him and prepares to file a report on the happenings of this meeting. |

Flage Gerana Flage Gerana recited the vow which he had been told from when he left Mecca "I vow to always strive to ensure the honor and might of His Holiness, the Supreme Lord. I vow never to act in a manner that shall jeopardize His divine plans. I vow to always hold myself in a manner that is appropriate for an Ambassador of the United Supreme Union." The high priest graciously accepts the foreign visitor's recitation of the vows, and directs the guards to allow him entrance to the embassy. Once inside, he is greeted by the receptionist. Receptionist: Greetings and welcome to the United Supreme Union Embassy. What can I do for you today? |

The receptionist signals to a young man standing nearby, says something quietly to him, and smiles back at the foreign ambassador. The young man motions for Rabane to follow him, and then begins walking down the hall to the left of the receptionist. The proceed to the fourth door on the left hand side of the hallway. The guide opens the door and motions the foreign ambassador inside. There, at the far end of the room, sitting at a round conference table, is Petras Ugne, Head Diplomat for the United Supreme Union. He has a small file folder on the table in front of him. Petras Ugne: Greetings Ambassador, I am Petras Ugne, Head Diplomat of the United Supreme Union. Ugne stands and motions for the Ambassador to come and sit at the table. |

Ugne stares across the table at the Ambassador. Then he looks down and studies a couple of notes that he had in his file. Petras Ugne: Mr. Gerana, I admire your intentions. But these are not matters that can be taken on so lightly. Some things must be known before I would sign any document, and I am sure that you would like to know some things as well. Ugne looks up from the papers and stares at the FATF Ambassador. Petras Ugne: For starters, the Non-Agression Pact that you have proposed. His Holiness maintains a fairly stable attitude of neutrality in most world matters, and so in theory I would not be opposed to such a treaty. I will, however, warn you that any such treaty would be superceded by the Alliances of Faith that we have recently signed. Should you ever get into any sort of diplomatic disagreement with them, then our Non-Aggression Pact would no longer prevent us from protecting them. If this is an acceptable clause, then we shall sign your pact. |
