The Allied States of New Steinland are invading Moroccan soil in order to better the quality of life for the Moroccan citizens. We wish not to harm innocent civilians, but rather take down the oppressive, non-secular government that limits their freedoms. Once victory has been achieved, New Steinland will hold a referendum on the future of Morocco. They will have three choices. 1) Ratify the Stein constitution and become part of New Steinland 2) Become a territory of New Steinland and have the watchful eye of New Steinland guard them from all dangers or 3) Restructure their country, staying independent with a 5 year Stein overviewed reconstruction, and eventually join the Stein zone (a network of countries whom either depend on New Steinland, its army and/or its economy). New Steinland will honor whatever the Moroccan people decide to do. If they choose to become a part of New Steinland, all rights will immediately be extended to them. The battle plan is as followed. There will be four separate brigades that will be invading. Since the government is in shackles, the Moroccan military force is not expected to be very difficult. The four fources are the Alpha force (Red) The Gamma force (Orange) Delta force (Blue) and Omega force (Green). Anyone who cares to see the top secret battle plans, please inquire at the embassy |

The Moroccan government points out a few things. First of all, it is a constitutional monarchy no different than Steinland itself, with a head monarch and elected parliament and prime minister. It is also a country that is 98.7% Muslim. So, the allegations of this being a liberation movement against a "oppressive non-secular government" are totally nonfactual and obviously just excuses for conquest. By the same standards one could call New Steinland an oppressive, non-secular government. Secondly, if you think the Moroccan people would vote for anything short of full independence and sovereignty (with no Stein Zone), you are sadly mistaken. The head prime minister has already been elected by said people, why would they settle for voting under a foreign government's orders? How do you expect the people to vote for anything short of full independence and sovereignty with no Stein Zone influence, especially in a country where Muslim Arabs make up almost 99% of the population? How do you expect them not to see this very invasion as a potential holy war hearkening back to the reconquista of your ancestors that slaughtered the advanced and cultured Moors of the Iberian peninsula? Are you willing to risk a jihad, a holy war with the Sunni world and a country that is nearly 99% Muslim? How will you enforce your rule on a people that do not want you and see you as an invader foreign in both culture and religion? By military force. And that is nothing but bloodthirsty conquest, do not disguise it in euphemisms. Steinland troops have landed while the Moroccan government has continued to mobilize, encouraging partisan movements both nationalist and religious, especially the latter, local mullahs decrying New Steinland as an "enemy of Islam and the one true God". ![]() ![]() How shall you respond? |

In response to the Moroccan declaration, New Steinland would like to point out the fallacies used in attempting to rectify their nation as a true democracy. Yes, the Moroccan government did attempt to organize a democratic election for parliamentary seats, and they succeeded. However, there were many issues surrounding and that still surround this election and previous Moroccan politics. "Corruption is a structural matter and an integral part of the 'security state'," Abdullah Kamoune, member of the Moroccan Human Rights Association (AMDH) told IPS. And corruption has a long history in Morocco, he said. "In the 19th century governors of regions in Morocco were obliged to come to the royal palace to offer gifts to the king so as to strengthen their position. As compensation, they were free to do what they want with citizens. This is the origin of the problem." Following independence from France in 1956, "some courageous initiatives were started to make economic, social, and cultural reforms through the first five-year plan from 1960 to 1964," Kamoune said. "But the plan was aborted when king Mohamed V died in 1961." In later years people either went the corrupt way, or went to prison, he said. But the reasons are more than historical, such as "domination by the culture of fear, under-developed social relations, illiteracy and ignorance, and a popular culture which finds justifications for corruption," said economist Mustapha Antra."State structures only help corruption", he said. "Procedures are very complicated and the law on justification of administrative decisions is not really in force. This leads to the spread of favoritism." The state, he said, "uses corruption to reproduce the political elite, to guarantee its continuity, and to retain the current political balances." The state is "a system which itself is based on privileges." Corruption results in good measure also from the "informal economy which leads to smuggling and many other illegal relations, and the lack of a clear policy in salaries," he said. The TI (Transparency International: a group that reports on the status of a country's government) report lists several scandals that brought the country down from 45th position in 1999, to 78th. Among the most well-known relates to the Hassan II mosque in Casablanca. "Construction was financed partly by 'voluntary contributions' and partly by the compulsory deduction of employees' salaries, providing ample opportunities for racketeering and the embezzlement of funds," the TI report says. It says that the Inspection Générale des Finances (IGF) has revealed evidence of "gross financial fraud or embezzlement in banking, social security, agricultural credit, public housing, state contracts, public companies, municipal councils and international aid projects." A tourism and housing development credit fund lost 1.3 billion dollars partly because "fictional businessmen using fictional companies obtained credit from the bank and were later declared bankrupt," the TI report said. Institutions need to open up, said Kamoune. "Competition must be clear and credible and we must give up compromising outside institutions. These compromises are more than corruption. They are political prostitution." The state is in a process of transformation since the accession of king Mohamed VI to throne in 1999, but Morocco seems to have lost the fight against corruption. While everyone is free to speak about corruption, "greater freedom of speech has not been accompanied by any significant improvement in accountability." Following that in depth analysis of Moroccan political corruption, it is not hard to see why these people need liberating. In regard to Moroccos comment about the head prime minister being elected by said people, that is a blatant lie. King Mohammed VI appointed a Prime Minster from outside the political system: Driss Jettou. The appointment of the independent Prime Minster (it was expected that the King would appoint a Prime Minster from one of the largest parties in parliament) was considered by the UN and many nations including New Steinland, as the end of the democratic process of the 2002 parliamentary elections. Military Moves. Sea: - 10 frigates will advance to Rabat and bombard the troops waiting there in large numbers. - 4 missile boats will advance to the Moroccan Navy cluster off the coast of Casablanca. 2 will launch and detonate several missiles at the numerous and vulnerable patrol boats, with the other 2 focus on taking down the three frigates. - 4 missile boats will advance to the group of 1,000 partisans in Casablanca and bombard them from the sea. - 20 patrol boats will be stationed off of each of the following cities: Al Hoceima Tangier Rabat Casablanca Air: - 15 bombers will fly overhead the Moroccan troops stationed in Rabat and bombard them with many bombs focusing on tanks and artillery. - 20 Battle helicopters will also fly overhead the Moroccan troops stationed in Rabat and attempt to pick off as many troops as possible. - 200 fighters will fly to the Morrocan Airforce cluster close to the Algerian border and fight to the death. Land: The large group of 300,000 Stein troops will break apart into a large group and several small factions. - A group of 700 troops will advance to the city of Tangier and fight the group of 100 rebels. - A group of 1500 troops will advance towards the city of Nador. Once they reach the city limits, that faction will break apart into two groups. The first group numbering 750, will attack the 100 partisans in Nador. The second group also numbering 750 will attack the 100 partisans in Dujda - *using transport helicopters* A group of 5,000 troops will advance towards the city of Fés. Once they reach the city limits, 700 will break off and fight the 100 partisans in Fés. The remaining 4,300 will split. 800 will break off and head towards the city of Khenifra to fight the group of 100 partisans. The remaining 3,500 *using transport helicopter* will advance towards the already wounded group of 1,000 partisans in Casablanca. - The remaining (minus 50,000 that will stay behind) 242,800 troops, 400 tanks, and 1,500 artillery will advance towards troops in Rabat. 100 tanks and 500 artillery will stay behind in case the need for backup arises. ![]()

The Moroccan government points out that government corruption is subjective and in most nation states. It could use the same as an excuse to attack New Steinland. Besides, that's no excuse to violate another nation's sovereignty. Protests against New Steinland burning New Steinland flags occur all over the cities of Morocco. It's obvious that while the people of Morocco hate their government, they hate New Steinland even more. This is added by Muslim Mullahs and priests in the nearly 99% Muslim nation decrying the invaders as beginners of a new "Crusade" and declaring a Jihad on New Steinland. It is clear while the Moroccan government required reform, this was best done from within. The Moroccan people do not seem to consider this a "liberation", rather a foreign invasion, as it obviously is. It is likely they will vote to cede completely from New Steinland in any New Steinland election, not even wanting to be in the "Steinland Zone". In fact this invasion seems to have only increased the popularity of the intensely unpopular Moroccan government as Moroccans would rather band together against foreign "pagans". Popular uprisings against both the Moroccan government and the New Steinland invaders rock the nation. The 4 Missile Boats sent to engage the Moroccan Navy are decimated by the numerous Patrol Boats and strong Frigates. Missile attacks on partisans seem misguided, as they only cause minimal civilian damage and increase the massive anti-New Steinland sentiment, increasing civilian partisans. The aerial and naval bombarding of military positions causes minimal chaos as anti-sea and air defenses and missiles resist, it is clear that destroying the Moroccan forces will require direct engagement. The Moroccan fighter force moves quickly and repels New Steinland bombers and battle helicopters, and then is promptly annihilated by New Steinland's fighters. Moroccan Troops move from Rabat, both to avoid angry partisans and to avoid naval/aerial bombardment. ![]()

Military: - 700 troops stationed outside Chachaouene break into three groups. 300 go north to crush the 100 partisans in Tangier. Another group of 300 fight the 100 partisans in Chachaouene. And the additional 100 go south Taounate in junction with an additional 300 troops from the group of 50,000 troops. - The group of 700 troops near Nador will split into two groups. 350 will fight the 100 partisans in Al Hoceima. The other 350 will go to Dujda and fight the 300 partisans there in addition to another 400 from the other group of 750 troops near Dujda. (700 troops attaching the 300 partisans). The remaining 350 troops from the group of 750 will advance to Taza and fight the 100 partisans there. -the group of 650 troops stationed in Fés attacks the group of 300 partisans in Meknes. -the group of 800 splits in 2 groups. One group of 400 troops attack the 100 partisans to the east of their current location near the city of Boulemane. The other group of 400 attacks the 100 partisans near the city of Khenifra. - the group of 3,500 troops will split into one large faction and several smaller brigades. One brigade of 250 will go to fight the 100 partisans near Khouribga. Another group of 250 will fight the 100 partisans in Settat. Another brigade of 250 will go and fight the group of 100 partisans near Al Jadida. The remaining 2,750 troops will attack the 2,000 partisans in Casablanca. - of the group of 50,000 troops (now 49,700), 30,000 will mobilize and fly via transport helicopters to join the 1st Stein corps. They will stay stationed until further notice. Air: Further bombardments of the 1st Moroccan Corps are completed by 50 fighters and 10 bombers. They circle around twice successfully completing two missions and then fly back to base. They will do so every five hours, this should damage the heavy armor and artillery of the 1st Moroccan corps. Also, the bombs create large craters, obstacles that will be difficult to work around for both sides. |

The Moroccan Navy quickly retreated in the face of New Steinland reinforcements...just as reinforcements on the side of the Moroccans arrived. The navy of the United States of America. Cheered on by U.S. support, Moroccan partisans and forces get more determination, the U.S. government gaining much popularity among the predominantly Muslim population as a liberator, something quite strange of course. ![]() ![]() |

The United States will only accept complete Stein withdrawal from Morroco. If this does not occur, then your forces in Morroco will be attacked. 200 fighters and 75 bombers move into the vicinity of the 1st morrocan corps, to provide additional air cover. |

The Republic of Cape Verde organizes its military - naval, air force, and army - on the home front. As an ally of New Steinland they are ready at arms; however, they evoke their new ally to find a more peaceful solution. It may be more beneficiary for the two nations to combine forces - under a new union. |

In a broadcast statement to the Press, Brazilian Defense Minister Marlon Teixeiro announced that President Lula was prepared to order troops to North Africa to help defend Moroccan sovereignty, and would assist the United States and Israel in their operations against the Stein regime by moving against Cape Verde should they intervene, seizing the Stein base in Catio, and ousting a government that would side with the Nazi Reich. All branches of the Brazilian Armed Forces to stand at full readiness for potential deployment to Africa. Edited by The_Ironbound, Oct 22 2008, 03:15 PM.
