Foreign Minister Paek Nam-sun
Minister of State Construction Control Pae Tal-jun

Juche Socialist Republic, Totalitarian Single-Party State

Economic System
Centrally Planned Economy

North Korea's economy remains one of the world's last centrally planned systems. The role of market allocation is sharply limited - mainly in the rural sector where peasants sell produce from small private plots. There are almost no small businesses. Although there have been some limited experiments
at decentralization, as of mid-1993, Pyongyang's basic adherence to a centrally planned economy continues. The collapse of socialist governments around the world in 1991, particularly North Korea's principal benefactor, the Soviet Union, have forced North Korean economy to realign its foreign economic relations. Economic exchanges with South Korea have increased. A few recent attempts at creating Chinese-style Special Economic Zones is representative of North Korea's current movement towards capitalism, though commitment to Juche will likely make these measures small scale only. The DPRK will try to make it's planned economy more efficient, end the prolonged stagnation whilst maintaining tight central control, and reduce corruption in the party cadres

Economic Tier
2nd Tier

Language
North Korea shares the Korean language with South Korea. Though there are now some dialect differences within both Koreas, the border between North and South does not represent a major linguistic boundary. While prevalent in the South, the adoption of modern terms from foreign languages has been limited in North Korea. Hanja (Chinese characters) are no longer used in North Korea, although still occasionally used in South Korea. Both Koreas share the phonetic writing system called Chosongul in North Korea and Hangul South of the DMZ. The official Romanization differs in the two countries, with North Korea using a slightly modified McCune-Reischauer system, and the South using the Revised Romanization of Korean.

Culture
There is a vast cult of personality around Kim Il-sung and Kim Jong-il and much of North Korea's literature, popular music, theater and film glorify the two men.
A popular event in North Korea is the Mass Games. The most recent and largest Mass Games was called "Arirang". It was performed six nights a week for two months, and involved over 100,000 performers. Attendees to this event report that the anti-West sentiments have been toned down compared to previous performances. The Mass Games involve performances of dance, gymnastic, and choreographic routines which celebrate the history of North Korea and the Workers' Party Revolution. The Mass Games are held in Pyongyang at various venues (varying according to the scale of the Games in a particular year) including the May Day Stadium.
Culture is officially protected by the North Korean government. Large buildings committed to culture have been built, such as the People's Palace of Culture or the Grand People's Palace of Studies, both in Pyongyang. Outside the capital, there's a major theatre in Hamhung and in every city there are State-run theatres and stadiums.

History
After Japan's surrender at the conclusion of World War II, the Korean peninsula was partitioned into two occupation zones, divided at the 38th parallel. The USSR controlled the north, with the U.S. taking charge of the south. In 1948, the division was made permanent with the establishment of the separate regimes of North and South Korea. The Democratic People's Republic of Korea (North Korea) was established on May 1, 1948, with Kim Il Sung as president.
Hoping to unify the Koreas under a single Communist government, the North launched a surprise invasion of South Korea on June 25, 1950. In the following days, the UN Security Council condemned the attack and demanded an immediate withdrawal.
President Harry S. Truman ordered U.S. air and naval units into action to enforce the UN order. The British government followed suit, and soon a UN multinational command was set up to aid the South Koreans.
The North Korean invaders swiftly seized Seoul and surrounded the allied forces in the peninsula's southeast corner near Pusan. In a desperate bid to reverse the military situation, UN Commander Gen. Douglas MacArthur ordered an amphibious landing at Inchon on Sept. 15 and routed the North Korean army. MacArthur's forces pushed north across the 38th parallel, approaching the Yalu River.
Prompted by this successful counteroffensive, Communist China entered the war, forcing the UN troops into a headlong retreat. Seoul was lost again, then regained. Ultimately, the war stabilized near the 38th parallel but dragged on for two years while negotiations took place. An armistice was agreed to on July 27, 1953.
The DPRK's Economy recovered quickly from the war and grew strongly until the 1980’s when it began to slow down, these difficulties were exacerbated by the collapse of the DPRK’s main trading partner and ally the U.S.S.R. Kim Il Sung's death on July 8, 1994, had introduced a period of uncertainty, as his son, Kim Jong Il, assumed the leadership mantle. Negotiations over the country's suspected possession of atomic weapons dragged on, but an agreement was reached in June 1995 that included a provision for providing the North with a South Korean nuclear reactor.
The nuclear standoffs that characterized the mid-1990s were overshadowed when famine struck the nation's 24 million inhabitants in 1998 and 1999. Two years of floods had been followed by severe droughts in 1997 and 1998, causing devastating crop failures. Because of a lack of fuel and machinery parts, and weather conditions that encouraged parasites, only 10% of North Korea's rice fields could be worked. The staggering food crisis necessitated foreign aid. In the fall of 1999, the severe famine, but under the wise leadership of Kim Jong-iI the DPRK has survived the crisis of the 1990’s and has been attempting to revive it’s ecomey according to Kim II Sung’s Juche (self-reliance) ideas.

While it is true that you can lead a horse to water, but can't make it drink, a more useful saying would be, "More people are killed trying to have sex with one than you might think".

The DPRK will start large-scale infrastructure improvements on the DPRK’s light & heavy industry, with the DPRK's new trading agreements with nations like Russia, South Korea etc and the capture of Manchuria’s industrial plant intact the DPRK now has better access to more advanced industrial technology. Because of that the DPRK will undertake a missive improvement to our indicial faculties in order to vastly improve their efficiency and output, and reduce their engery costs. This should improve military output and provide much greater quantities of consumer goods for the Dear Leader’s loyal people = Three Weeks (Done)

The DPRK will to start a comprehensive anti-corruption campaign. During the hard times of the 1990’s corruption started to flourish. Now with the DPRK in a much more stable position, thanks to the Dear Leader's wisdom and our recent gains in Manchuria and the increased prestige it brings to the Dear Leader he can now make his disapproval felt by clamping down on graft and the black-market both of those things are harmful to the DPRK’s economy and prosperity. Intense ideological re-training of those perpetrators and greater ideological training and screening in the Korean Workers Party should reduce corruption and strengthen the party’s ideological fervour and commitment to Kim II Sung’s Junche Ideas = Three Weeks (Done)

The DPRK will train a new cadre of Spec-Ops Troops

These highly-trained military teams/units will conduct specialized operations such as reconnaissance, unconventional warfare, and counter-insurgency actions. They will be chosen for their intelligence, and good physical attributes. The SOF Troops will be rigorously indoctrinated to a much higher degree than even the normal DPRK Troops are, this will make them fanatically loyal and willing to carry out any order.

350 Fighters, 100 Bombers, 75 Transports, 200 Battle Helicopters, 100 Transport Helicopters = Four weeks (Done)

The new MLRS vehicle with the automated system ensures:

* delivery of fire from an unsurveyed fire position;
* laying of the launch tube cluster with the crew staying in the cabin and without using aiming points;
* autonomous determination of an azimuth of the launch tube cluster’s longitudinal axis;
* visual representation of graphical information for the launch tube cluster laying, the route of vehicle movement and location as well as a point of destination and direction of movement on the video terminal;
* increase in MLRS survivability owing to reduced time of staying at a fire position;
* increased comfort for the laying operator, especially in adverse weather conditions and at night;
* increased independent operation owing to the navigation and survey equipment, which allows the vehicle to rapidly change fire positions and move autonomously.
