With the hopeful revamping of EW, I’d like to start clean with a new PC.


Stats & Facts
Name – Rebecca Lons
Titles - None
Race - Human
Age - 20
Height – 5’6”
Weight – 130 lbs.
Appearance – Standing at six and a half feet tall, Rebecca is a short girl to say the least. While not so frail looking one would think a strong gust would knock her over, one could easily get thee impression that the girl wouldn’t be much use in a fight do to her slender arms, lack of muscular definition and generally petit frame. Her hair is naturally a light brown color with a tint of red, however, the top two thirds of her hair have been bleached blonde, leaving only the bottom few inches of her shoulder length hair dark. The woman has hazel eyes that can look anywhere from deep brown to dull green depending on the time of day. Her ears each have two small black semicircle earrings held on with a small metal ball on each end. Along the woman’s shoulders are a few self inflicted cuts.
Apparel – Rebecca usually wears a black collard shirt with thin white vertical stripes that was clearly intended for a man. Over this is a harlequin patchwork jacket made of several different materials with light cotton padding under the shoulders. The jacket falls just shy of the woman’s hips, allowing the slightly oversized black shirt to flow freely below the jacket. The girls pants are a burnt yellow corduroy held up by a belt that looks remarkably like a shredded leather sword holster.
Background – Rebecca came from a large family of religious zealots residing in a small village just outside of Origin. Her father was an extremely devout paladin within the local branch of the cleric’s guild while her mother spent most of her time tending to the needs of the church as a volunteer. With four younger brothers and sisters, Rebecca often had to take care of her siblings and perform household chores while her parents were out saving the world from the darkness. By the time she was fourteen, Rebecca began to hate the church, seeing the fierce evangelical faith it instilled in its members as doing more evil than even the greatest criminals. As punishment for her questioning of the church, Rebecca began to be seen by her community as a witch with evil powers. Ashamed, Rebecca’s father held her in isolation giving her the family cat to keep her company, Allowing her out of the cellar only to eat her meals. Eventually she started becoming interested in the dark arts, vieing them as the antithesis of the light. When her cat finally died, Rebecca spent countless days trying to bring the cat back to life, if only to have a friend. When her father discovered she was successful, he sent the girl out of the villiage, praying his daughter would die in exile. Fourtunately, Rebecca was not shamed of her past but rather found herself overjoyed that she had managed to escape the clutches of both faith and family. She has spent the last several years in Kier, trying her best to be cheerfully gloomy.

Natural Abilities
- Necromancers Gift- Rebecca can mentally communicate with the dead she summons, to a greater extent than most who dabble in the art of necromancy.

Skills
Summoning - Transfigure
Those with an affinity to creatures learn to manipulate their summonings by granting them additional features. These count as spells, but do not have to be maintained. A summoning can only have two transfigurations cast on it at a time.
Level 0 - Grant Lion Claws
Level 1 - Grant Bat Ears (sonar) or Snake Tongue (enhanced sense of smell)
Level 2 - Grant Viper Fangs (mild venom) or Shark Teeth.

Level 3 - Grant Dragon Scales (tough as iron) or Chameleon Skin (camolfauge; the creature appears invisible when still, and creates only an indistinct shimmer while moving.)
Level 4 - Grant Spider Legs (can climb any surface) or Cheetah Legs (triples the creature's running speed)
Level 5 - Grant Scorpion Tail (strong venom) or Monkey Tail (prehensile, can manipulate small objects with it)

Lvl 0. Mr Whiskers- A black cat that looks as though it has been sewn together and still may be missing a few digets. Rebecca has a close bond with Mr. Whiskers and treats him more as a friend than a summon or even a pet. Does not fill up a summoning slot.

Hi! I'm new and I'm hoping to roleplay with you!

Stats & Facts
Name - Halona
Titles - Hal
Race - Jakari
Age - 20
Height - 5'8"
Weight - 140 lbs

Appearance - Halona has light red hair that hangs down her back and slightly pale skin. As a human like Jakari, she looks like an average human. Except of course, for the pointy cat ears on the top of her head that replace human ears and the nice long cat tail sticking out of her bottom. Both are covered in reddish fur to go with her hair color. The Jakari blood in her also gives her the well known trait of cat eyes but instead of yellow, they're the color of dark hazel. In anger, her eyes tend to narrow until they practically become slits and all her hair bristles just like any normal cat.

Apparel - Halona wears the same clothing that humans do, having grown up in their world. She tends to stick with blouses and shorts because they give her skin more air. Every once in a while, Halona will wear skirts but not often. She also tends to use bright splashes of color but it's very appealing to her eyes. Halona doesn't really like wearing shoes. Being a Jakari, she has nails that tend to grow rapdily and are rather sharp. It can be awfully uncomfortable especially since she hates clipping her nails, so most of the time she wanders around barefoot. If she does wear shoes, it'll be flip flops or sandal type wear so her toes and by association her nails, have room to move.

Background - Halona was born to a Jakari mother and a human father. Apart of a Jakari and Human society, there was nothing very surprising about that in this day and age. Her mom was really set on making sure her child still had a connection to her Jakari culture and so Halona was brought up in a semi urban area with equal parts forests and cities and such. She grew up happily enough but sometimes there's always a little something more someone is after.

When Halona grew up, she became very curious and enjoyed exploring a lot. Having been born many years after the battle between the Garr and Epic World, Halona was pretty much brought up where the most scary thing to happen to her was when she fell out of a 12 foot tree. Her parents however weren't so fortunate and while they both survived to have her, they still were cynics at heart and very concerned about life. Unlike others, they never relaxed their guard and spent time always looking over their shoulders, never relaxing. To find their daughter wanting to go to new places didn't sit well with them at first. What if something happened when she was away from home? So Halona never went very far, not without at least one parent by her side. Until she was 12 anyway.

With her parents away and a neighbor needing some aid, Halona glady volunteered. Despite knowing that she'd be in serious trouble when they found out... It didn't take nearly as long as she thought and she got home relatively quickly. Her parents predictably had a fit and did indeed punish her. But not before a long talk that made the pair rethink their mindset. When Halona started gaining an affinity in magic... they realized that they couldn't guard their daughter forever and however reluctantly, they decided to change.

They began to trust her more and let her go off on her own a little bit more as she aged. They also let her learn a few more things too. By the time she was 17 years old, she knew how to handle a weapon skillfully even if her magic powers had yet to progress any further. Even though Halona has yet to leave home, she's pretty much treated now as a mature person and if she so chose, her parents would allow her to leave home.

Guilds - N/A

Accomplishments -
> Ran an errand at night alone for the first time when she was 12 years old
> Sucessfully hunted and brought home an animal at age 14


Natural Abilities
- As a Jakari, Halona has cat eyes instead of human eyes. With those eyes, she has good night vision. She's also more agile than a regular human. Know the saying "cats always land on their feet?" This one usually does so she can leap from many high places.


Skills
- LSS: Level 0 Light: Receive an Empower by absorbing the Light around you.
- She can cook using items in nature.
- She knows how to carve and shape wood to make items.


[Spells]
- Light: Level 0 - Light attraction: If there's a source of light, it'll be drawn to her and she to it. But only if it's on. If there's a lamp and it's not on, light isn't just gonna turn on or anything like that.

- A single bow and a number of arrows

- Soothing Flute: A flute with a sound so sweet it's known to calm anyone's nerves

Okay, Nai's back to actually do some stuff, and hopefully get people to post. (Ahem) However, if I come off as a bit caustic in this post, I do apologize.

Wolf: Drop an ability, first and foremost. Then drop either your hutning or survival skill. Then drop the Rituals, we don't do anything like that. Next, pick between the Broad Sword and the Shield. You get one as steel, and you can have the other as iron. Drop the dagger. Do that, and you're approved.

Regis... I really wish you'd stick with a character. But this one's approved.

Moving on, Di-Hime. Remember, the species is -Jakari-, not Jakarta. Anyways, your level 0 light skill is WAY too powerful. Just drop it entirely, you're not going to be able to fix it. In any case, you're pretty much approved unless you want to take an LSS, and that'd be approved too.

Okay, see that's just weird. I put Jakari in the first few paragraphs and put Jakarta in others. I should have noticed that.

In any case, I edited it! (Also changed the Level 0 spell. If it's still too powerful, I'll give it up. But I wanted to try to see if I could do it.)

Oh and abou the LSS... Isn't the Empower an LSS? 'Cause if so, I think I put it there.

Kellen - So basically your emergence is meant to be a spirit-summoning type of thing that gets more powerful when used at the correct times of day, right? Remember, what you actually GET is decided by the mods, not you.

Di-Hime: Yes, that's an LSS. You didn't say you were USING it. There's a big difference between the level 0 of an LSS and just saying you have a level 0 skill. Please include that you're using the LSS. I also have no idea what your level 0 spell is meant to do.

I'm not sure I understand. I have to specifically label it with "LSS?" Is that it?

Oh and for the spell? Well, it's like she can track any source of light as long as it's on and working, no matter how far it is.

I'd prefer you copy/paste the actual LSS and just bold the level you're on, but that's fine. We do it like this so everyone knows what others have, keeping things balanced. No secrets allowed. Otherwise, you're set.

Hey, this is my first time roleplaying and I'm eager to try it!

Name – Dryden Escariet

Titles – None yet

Race - Human

Age – 16

Height – 5’10”

Weight – 107lbs

Appearance – Fair hair that falls just below the shoulders. He has dark, thundercloud-grey eyes that look to conceal a treasure trove within. Long, angular cheekbones and slightly upturned nose. He is slightly gangly than normal and he has quite a pale complexion. His face always seems to look shrewd and calculating without his intention. His veins are prominent on his right hand for this is the one he channels most of his powers through. He has a long burn mark down his back from where his hermit teacher, in a blind rage, through a pan of boiling water over him.

Apparel – Dryden doesn’t have much but he where’s what he has with pride. He has simple clothing, a linen shirt and trousers with many ragged holes in. A thick, woollen jumper which he treasures for its warmth and a pair of well-worn leather sandals. On top of that is his robe which he always wears. Its dark grey like his eyes and has a hood which he often raises over his face.

Background – Dryden was brought up like any normal boy until the age of 6. At 6 years of age his parents left him to live with an old hermit in the mountains to teach him the art of magic. All that he had to remember his parents was an old ring that had been in the family for a long time. At first Dryden was very excited about learning magic but he was less than impressed with his lodgings, which consisted of a straw mat on the ground. Anyway, he decided to live with that. By 10 years old he was very annoyed for the closest he’d come to magic is basic mental exercises like riddles. The rest of the time he had just been doing chores and spending days outside. Since he had been working for the hermit for 4 years he decided to confront his teacher so he could learn more about the arcane arts. The hermit flew into a mindless rage when he heard this and screamed at the boy and then chucking boiling water down on his back. At age 11 he was finally starting to progress, but all he was doing was reading tome after tome about magic. He had never done any magic yet and that was the case until his 15th birthday. When he turned 15 the hermit decided to teach him his first spell so that he could move slightly faster than normal. The boy was overjoyed that he was starting to learn magic but disappointed because it was a spell he had read about and wasn’t particularly exciting. Anyway he learnt the spell quickly and thoroughly and even though the hermit tried to hide it, his smile was evident to the quick eyes of Dryden. After that Dryden was looking forward to more amazing magic but none came for a whole year so he decided to run away. He waited until the hermit was out on an errand and quickly took his dagger from under his pillow and the ring he always took with him and set off for Keir.

Guilds – Mages Guild

Accomplishments – 1. Running away from the hermit and reaching Keir
2. Joining the Mages Guild and learning his first few spells.

Natural Abilities – Photographic memory (can remember things he has seen very well).

Skills – Storm - Dynamo
Those with an affinity to storms feel its power rumble within them, and learn to draw from their inner storm to strengthen themselves.
Level 0 - You possess a greater sense of smell and hearing.
Level 1 - You passively release a strong shock into anything that breaks your skin.
Level 2 - Gain the ability to shape and manipulate the flow of electrical energy. Your irises constantly flash with electrical energy.

Level 3 - Gain the ability to form electrical fields around your hands, allowing you to cling to any surface for a few seconds, or release a burst of energy to boost a jump by up to two feet (2').
Level 4 - Can absorb moderate amounts of electricity target at you; can be focused to heal minor wounds. Your hair passively stands on end because of the greater level of electrical energy in you.
Level 5 - Your possess greater speed and agility (100% increase), and your hands gain a passive Lightning Fist ability.


Spells – Storm Magic
Pinpoint Shock - 0 - Dryden can use his connection with storms to conduct a static charge in between his thumb and index finger. When someone is touched by this it is similar to a small static shock.
Gust - 1
Mists - 1
Charge - 2

Weapons – Burapivar – A small iron dagger with a leather hilt and shoddy cross guard. Etched into the blade is the word ‘Stormbrewer’
- Storm Dagger - A dagger granted to Dryden for joining the Mages Guild. It crackles with electricity and marks him as a true Storm Mage.

Armor – None

Non-Weapon Items-Accessories – A shoddy, iron ring with no jewel but a clasp in which to put one. This was only keepsake from his parents after he left them.

Non-Weapon Items-Miscellaneous – Mages Sigil - A sigil given to Dryden on joinign the Mages Guild. Gives Drden a discount on spells (-5 to spell bases).

Pets – None yet

Currency – 35 gold

Uh, drop the level 0 spell. We have level 1 spells (and one further on) that does the exact same thing. No getting free spells.

Keep in mind that shock is MINOR, since I believe there is a spell that does the same thing at level 1.
