Name- Lane
Race- Half Elf
Age/Weight/Height- 21 / 135 / 5' 9"

Appearance- Standing at a little under six feet, Lane has the appearance of a tall slender and fit woman. Through no effort of her own, Lane has the physique of an runner, her arms and legs are long lanky and muscular. Her hair is shoulder length, jet black and almost too straight for someone raised without many luxuries. Her tanned burnt yellow skin and emerald green eyes would make her a traditional beauty if not for some, artistic alterations. On each of Lane's elongated ears, her only elven feature, lay five small silver hooped ear rings that extend evenly spaced across the entire lower ridge of each ear. In addition to this piercing is a stud on her left eyebrow and another couple less visable alterations. Across the top of her back is a cursive tattoo of three elven words that roughly translate to tattered by the waves yet she does not sink. Across her broad but pointed face usually rests a slight and cynical smirk.

Apparel- Lane has a fairly unique sense of style about her that most either find bizarre or find attractive, some time a little of both. The woman wears a white blouse that is almost always ruffled and has more than a few tears. Over this rests an open blood red leather jacket, seamless and rigidly straight, falling down only to the half elves waistline, this jacket is filled with numerous pockets. Just below the jacket is a pair of black linen pants that squeeze somewhat tightly against the womans legs. The outfit is completed by a pair of calf high black leather boots.

Background- Born to a High Elf and a Human in Origins, Lane was usually looked down upon by most people around her and ignored by those of importance. Her family was virtually non existent with her parents usually gone working various eclectic odd jobs and the five eldest children of her family gone boldly exploring any one of the exciting stages of alcoholism. The only person of importance in Jane's life was her one older brother who remained at the house most of the time. He a starving musician and Lane aspiring to become a starving artist, the two managed to get by in becoming the laziest most apathetic thieves in Origins. Eventually the two got bored with the plan, as they did with most things, and the duo barely managed to get by selling art and performing small gigs. One day her brother left a note saying he had gone off to someplace that he couldn't remember the name of and would be back in a week or whenever he got around to it. Tired of waiting, Lane went out to look for him and came to Kier. It seemed a lot more relaxed than Origins so shes staying there for now at least.

>Speedy - Lane is very fast, much faster than almost anyone who is not either highly trained or under the effects of a speed enhancing spell.
>Acrobatics - Lane is naturally nimble and capable of feats of agility that most people would find beyond them.
>Own Boss - Lane really dislikes following orders and obeying rules, as such she can not join guilds.
>Mundo Apethetico - Lane won't go into a place and actively sniff out a quest or a bounty. It is more her style to get pulled into such things by accidental chance encounters, it is this chaos that dictates her life.
>Artisan - Lane is a great artist, leaning more towards expressionism and other avant-garde styles.
>Lord of Flames
Those with an affinity to Flame can alter it through their will to types of fire seldom seen in nature. The caster can only modify spells this way, or small, natural fires.
Level 0 - Shadow Flame - Transform a flame into a black fire, which casts light only for the caster.
Level 1 - Frostbite Flame - Transform a flame into an icy-blue fire that burns cold, but still damages.
Level 2 - Starfire - Transform a flame into a glaring white fire that can blind those who look directly at it for one to three posts.

Appearance - A tall, explosively built Caucasian, with shoulder-length dirty blond hair and soft features that belied his days as a warrior. His ears were only slightly pointed, as if hinting the slightest of elfin origins.

Apparel - Prefers to wear clothing that will suffice in many situations. Currently wears a cream colored shirt, light brown pants, low-cut brown boots, a pair of surprisingly dexterous patchwork gauntlets. Over his simple garb is a dark brown oilskin long coat, cut part way down the back and sporting various attachments to keep it close to his body. Has a hood for frigid weather / when it starts raining.

Background - Some time ago, disillusioned with all the unfortunate circumstances / events and corruption within the world, Zeon, as a scholar of sorts would analyze his surroundings and somewhat discuss but mostly write about them. He would leave notes at local forums regarding his latest thoughts on various topics at hand, aspects of truth as he saw it... most of his comments philosophical in nature. But his strange writings were somewhat difficult to comprehend, and tended to make statements that left potential repliers without comment. Somewhat a lone voice in the crowd, he slowly began falling into himself. In time, rage would begin looming within him, and he would slowly begin entering into many training matches and even tournaments to seek release his pent-up forces. As time progressed he became a mostly bare fisted gladiator of sorts, fighting random opponents. He made it a point not to kill, and more often than not, even injure his opponents. Though chastised at first, he would later become renown for his antics. Later on, upon a dusty plain he would enter into long competitions against many opponents, until one day he would encounter a Knight of Isengaard. After a blistering battle, the Knight's gleaming blade nearly killed Zeon, despite all his previous attempts to disarm him. The knight, in taking his reputation as a non-lethal opponent, decided to let him live. Zeon took the loss quite hard, and began to think even more not only about what he was doing, but why he was doing it too... in particular, the urges within him. A spiritual crisis soon ensued. Now those days seem to be but dim memories, tears amidst the rain. In amidst of his spiritual crisis, Zeon had contracted a strange illness of which he has rarely spoken of. Bedridden for many long months, illness and lack of action has seriously weakened him from the days of yore. After some time in rehabilitation, and a long naval and land voyage he arrives at Keir, of somewhat overcast nature and unsure what his next actions will be.

Lane's approved. Lots of drawbacks.

Zeon: Interception is a bit powerful. Remember not to use it 100%, or there'll be issues. I'm having trouble with your gloves. They embody a costly enchantment -and- a powerful mind spell -and- a fighter ability all in one. You need to tone them down.

Yes, I was thinking about the power implications of Interception. And I didn't find any similar skills / spells in the guide for Spirit Hands, though they have now been removed. :) (reposted here for reference)

- Patchwork Gauntlets (Spirit Hands) - A pair of 'magical items' inhabiting a pair of crudely, but well made gauntlets of dark green cloth and metal. They can exit the gloves at the wielder's will, like ghostly hands, and are capable of remote manipulation, though their usefulness in (combative) striking is generally weak and limited.

Maybe it was a spell we decided against. The telekinesis effect is too strong for a starting ability. The 'ghost hands' could also fall under a managed animation (see the imbuer), and the combative striking could potentially be Ghost Strike (which is a Fighter's Guild skill).

As for interception, treat it as a semi-rare occurance and you're good.

You're technically starting with very little, so you could start with a better made gauntlet.

Aww shucks, semi-rare. :D

I'm not sure what weapons/armor to give him currently, thought I might upgrade as I go - I originally planned a bare fisted fighter. Also, I noticed Full Armor Set at the forge costs more than the separate pieces of body armor listed. Is it a different construct?

All the rest put together is 148. The extra 15 gold is for all the fiddly bits that go between the pieces of armor to stop you from being stabbed in the side.

You -can- just go ahead as you are. I just thought I'd let you know the option for a little more is there.

Appearance - 80% of his body resembles humans, except for cat-like eyes whose pupil also enlarges in darkness & reduces in light. his whole body is covered with thin white fur with black color on his back. he has long black, messy hair. has sharp teeth and retractable claws. most of the time, the claws on his feet are retracted. He has a quite athletic body built, probably acquired when he was practicing creating weapons.

Apparel - he wears light brown trousers that reaches up to below his knee, and has one cargo pocket on each side and wears a utility belt, where he keeps several items which shows his resourcefulness. he also has a backpack where he puts his smithing and survival equipment. though he prefers not to wear a shirt most of the time, he has a black shirt that he uses sometimes. he wears a pair of sandals where his claws on his feet can extend whenever needed. also, he wears a pair of goggles.

Background - he lived with humans for as long as he can remember. he was an orphan and didn't knew who his parents were. a human blacksmith named Barret, raised him like his own son. Barret was fairly strict with Patch and was raised in discipline. however, despite this, Patch became a thief and often gave Barret headaches and became a problem child. to avoid this, Barret trained Patch to be a Blacksmith, for Patch to learn how to earn his own money and have pride on his works.

Accomplishments - he made his very own weapon, something he calls a perfect weapon after years of difficult training under Barret's supervision.

Versaille, you're totally approved.

Cygno: A couple of things I need to comment on. Mel may disagree with me here.

First, please attempt to capitalize the first word in a sentence. This is a project based on writing and the English language, so being able to write English correctly is a big part.

Your history is okay, for the most part. However, this whole bit about your Force Edge... May never happen. You've also got an inconsistency about the Orihalconium Ore and the Metarcon ore.

No problem with 9 lives. Sleight of Hand relies on the -moderator- to decide if you succeeded. Remember this. You also need to define how well Silent Feet is meant to work.

The armor has to go. There is no Kevlarium and, by the sound of it, it's too strong in the first place.

As for the accessories... You -really- need to cut down.

These are what I'd say you can keep:

Daiblade
Nylon (change the name, doesn't exist) thread
1-2 throwing knives
All the miscellaneous items.

Everything else is -way- too much, even on an individual basis.

Patch is a resourceful character so I made him as resourceful as possible. Here's What I'd editted on my profile:

History
- The truth is... I haven't thought about anything on this part yet. I just want to know what Items can I use for forging a weapon... Patch is a Blacksmith and smithing weapons is his life... You know what I mean... I'm planning to forge several weapons throughout my stay here using the materials I could acquire..

Natural Abilities
- Silent Feet - Patch is also proficient in terms of stealth. He can sneak behind guards without noticing him. He also uses his claws to cling on walls & ceilings, with the use of his arm & leg strength, to hide. Though he doesn't use it frequently, he still practice stealth because he might need it soon.

- DaiBlade (Patch's pride. a huge sword with a length of 3 feet & width of 1 feet.)

Cygno, what Nai's trying to get at is that your character simply has too much cool stuff for a starting character. The basic idea is that you start with a little and you make it a lot. Generally, the approval rule is one major skill, one-two minor skills, a weapon, and some flavor items/abilities.

Try that :)

After doing some minor research, I have to nix the portable smith. It just doesn't exist in the realm of the possible. The thing you're thinking of -may- be able to make a throwing dagger. If that. The oven wouldn't be able to get hot enough, anvils weigh 50-500 pounds (the latter for actual big armor), etc. You'd never be able to carry it, and it wouldn't work in the first place.

Nix that, and you're good.
