Stats & Facts

Name - Ecelene Blossom
Titles - " The Pandemic Priestess ", " Lady Stratus Blossom "
Race - High Elf
Age - 19
Height - 5'7"
Weight - 145 lbs.
Appearance -
Posted Image
Apparel - Ecelene is outfitted with a traveling set, complete with a small backpack, jewelry with hidden compartments, and comforting shoes for journeys ahead. She's normally seen wearing a halter top, with a swirled floral design and mini-skirt matching, constructed of the same material. Several pieces of intricate jewelry is placed on her wrists, neck and thighs as mementos of her heritage as a High Elf.
Background - Ecelene, born of another elf to provide the bloodline of a High Elf, has been on the move since the day she was conceived. Her mother passed away shortly after conceiving her, while her father remained to care for the youngling and prevent banishment from the village; due to the fact that he knew High Elves were exiled from any tribe within the area. Her father, being a hunter, made sure to keep the child well-fed and nourished while teaching her the ways of nature as a means of survival. As she grew, she branched off from his teachins, developing her own beleifs as a path to follow under the delusion that a diety by the title of " Mistress Stratus ", the protector and creator of the clouds and sky. From this, she constructed the concept more in-depth to form it as a sort of religious teachings that she wishes to spead unto others in order to circulate peace and happiness...however diluted it may seem.

Over the years, she grew and developed, while her father did nothing but age gracefully and slowly. He eventually became a hermit in the Eastern Woods while Ecelene continued to travel as a Priestess under the diety, spreading her word and learning about her power and divine nature with more detail and understanding. Her father suspected the worship to be nothing but a simple youngling's phase of learning respect and glorifying nature, but odd instances slowly began to warp his mind to beleive in the fact of the diety's existence as well. Ecelene's abilities began to reveal themselves, as she passed all of the credit onto her goddess. The truth became obscure and nye-impossible to determine between Ecelene's teachings and actuality. Was the proof really evident?

Convinced that his daughter was truly a beacon for the goddess, he was rapidly driven to madness trying to keep up with the offerings tributed by Ecelen to the goddess; and eventually tributing his own life as a spiritual collection of essence to empower his daughter with more of a comprehension to the goddess' power. Ecelene continues her journey up the ladder of refuge under the goddess' wing, in hopes of one day becoming her right hand disciple.

I've done a review of Silver since Nai has deferred to me.

Silver is not approved. I don't like half-drawbacks. Never have, never will. Either get the full drawbacks for what you want or make a standard character. Standard drawbacks are -good- drawbacks you know.

<Had stuff to say, but Maus said it better on discussion thread and I just built off of that.>

Heh, in most cases I can just remove the drawbacks. Also, I don't care if missing senses is a half-drawback. Silver's always been blind and for RP reasons I intend to keep it that way. Motion sense only exists so he's still playable (Fullsight would be boring - I don't intend on taking it. Running into walls ftw).

Silver 2.0 (3.0 I guess).

Name – Silver
Titles - None
Race – ??? (Assume human when needed)
Age -- Looks 24ish
Height - 5’13
Weight - 140
Appearance - A normal looking man with tan skin and thin white hair. Well, except that he wears a plain silver mask on his face. The smooth mask has no features, and is rather shiny. It also appears to be fused to the sides of his head. No, wait, it is fused to the sides of his head! How is that normal??? To make matters worse, Silver’s hands and feat are made of steel. Other than that, a normal looking man.
Apparel – A thin, whitish sand-colored shirt adorns his chest, with long equally thin pants covering the rest of him. Between the two is a sand-colored belt. On his back lies a rather unremarkable vest-like robe that looks like everything else. He does not wear shoes (or glasses). In addtion to the cloak is a sheath in which Silver keeps his walking stick while in battle.
Background - One day Silver woke up. After congratulating himself on a job well done, Silver noticed that he still didn’t know who he was. As such, he wandered the surrounding countryside [again] until he was led to the nearest major city by a kind traveler [again!]. This traveler explained Jinaria and taught Silver the basics of living. At this point the parallels had ran past “creepy” and dove right into “deeply disturbing” so Silver made a *break* for it. He regrets doing so in a literal fashion (walls are forever the blind man’s enemy), but at least the parallels have stopped. A new world awaits!

Affiliations -
Job -
Allies -
Enemies – Walls. And pits.
Accomplishments
- Woke up. Good job!

Natural Abilities
Basic stuff: Street Fighting, general endurance, ambidexterity, etc. He's a better fighter than a normal civilian but not as good a fighter as a trained warrior.

Missing Senses- Silver cannot see, smell, or taste. Obviously, this causes more than a few issues. However he does seem to be able to get by without eating or drinking for reasons unknown. He obviously has no nose and mouth, yet his chest rises and falls as if he were indeed breathing something. He can speak for equally mysterious reasons.

Twisted Stylings (Duelist's Legacy)
Silver may not use weapons, but his metal parts are more than deadly enough.Battle posts count only your posts, and only those in which you actually fight.
Level 1 - Silver is more intimidating and his attacks are stronger with his chosen weapon at "hand"; he recieves a half Natural Empower (total .5), and Battle Intimidation. He has a Willbond with his metal parts - which I guess might come in handy if somone dismembered him and left him for dead. :confuse2:
Required Battle Posts - 0
Spoiler: click to toggle

Blocks are blocks, and strikes are strikes, and "next attack" is singular in nature. Silver could palm-block and kick, swordman could parry and strike. Some situations may find his set up more useful, but then again throwing the weapon might save someone else's bacon someday. He can't be disarmed, I guess - but the first abilty grants willbond so neither can anyone else.

Twisted Blade – Silver will not fight with a weapon that he cannot feel through using his sense of touch. This also applies to heavy armor – Silver does not like being restrained.
> Silver can feel through his metal hands, feet, and mask as though they were made of flesh. Really tough flesh, but flesh nonetheless. Also, his feat/hands slowly heal over time just like fleshy hands would, making minor cuts and scratches less of an issue.
> Silver’s mask cannot be broken – He’d have tried to remove it otherwise. The rest of the head/neck it’s attached to however is quite maimable.
> With an hour of meditation, one of Silver’s metallic body parts can absorb an item. That part gains the powers of that item. If a part already has an absorbed item, the previous item is spat back out. The magic is not altered in any way, if that makes an ability useless, so be it. Having to sit around in a forge while some dude works on your hands (that you can feel) would be pretty nasty.
This, in other words, allows Silver to upgrade his parts like normal weapons. It does not allow him to combine weapons together or anything like that, and the 1-hour wait time prevents mid-combat switches. Still an advantage. [See bottom of post]

Motion Sense – Silver can discern nearby movement on an inhuman level. Treat him as being a near-sighted individual (20/80, ¼ normal), but only for moving targets. When traveling from place to place Silver depends on following other travelers. The direction Silver is facing in does not matter. Note that, direction aside, this ability at best (~6 feet) resembles normal eyesight.
In most situations this is worse than normal sight. It shines in ambushes, but other than that he'd be better off with 20/20 color-and-object vision

Armor
> Silver does not wear armor. Probably not the smartest choice in the world, but Silver has issues with wearing a steel coffin he can’t feel through.

Metal Hands and feet- Silver’s hands are made of steel, yet he can feel through them as if they were normal hands. They are about as sharp as normal hands and feet with clipped fingernails. Which is not sharp at all.

Non-Weapon Items - Accessories

Non-Magical
- A walking Stick. With a very long string attached to it, which in turn is attacked to a big ball of string. Edit: Added the ball at the end to note just how long the string is.

Non-Weapon Items - Miscellaneous

A big ball of String

Containers
- A sheath on his back for the walking stick.

--------------------------
Hmm.... I think the weapon absorb is still too strong.

Hey! What if he absorbed a single item into his mask in this matter, and it applied to all of his metal parts until spat back out? That way he can't wield more effects in battle than someone with a single blade.

I'd feel better about this with another drawback, but I can't think of any *non-half* drawbacks that wouldn't take away far more than they gived in the long run. No-magic is nothing at start and crippling later on, I'm going to do my best to make no-guild a severe drawback indeed, what else is there?

Perhaps Silver also refuses to use Magic items that aren't absorbed in his hands, feet, or mask? this gives him a grand total of five magic items at any given time, and since he's able to upgrade and trade the old item away like normal, this will hinder him somewhat in his versatility but it won't make him less powerful than other players until the time when most people have six really awesome magic items, which should be sometime next week.

So, this is a good character for this week. :p

Perhaps the reason Nai and I are so unwilling to go through with this character is that it is -over-customized. There are a hundred ways for you to be in things that result in loss of [senses, etc] and then you go on a quest [hint, hint] to regain something that makes up for it.

Also, stuff-absorbing or anything that involves consolidation, prisming, tendrilling, rifting, absorbing, etc. is strictly off limits. I don't care what the drawback is and I don't care about the reasoning.
There's something in your eyes. Is everything alright?

Hell, Magi, Nes' staff was supposed to be able to absorb an item simply to turn into it. It'd still be one item at a time, but it'd reduce load. That's still not okay. So the whole absorbing thing isn't okay either.

Kismet is approved, by the by.

Nai: Really? That I don't understand. If it could only hold one absorbed item at a time, wouldn't that be the same as just using the item? Unless it could switch during combat I don't see how that's overpowered. You could just carry a backpack and achieve the same effect.

New "not-absorb" ability (Clarification, really):
>Silver's metal parts can be imbued/enchanted/etc just like any other weapons.

Solves my issue. I suppose there will always be someone willing to buy quest weapons.

It's original incarnation could switch items every 5 posts. But he'd have to keep that item for five posts. Not broken at all, but it does do consolidation, and if it was amped, everything would be amped. It could get ridiculous.

As for your parts being imbued... I think that's a possibility, but it doesn't fix the character. And they'd have to be removed to be imbued.

Hmm... that made it very different from the most recent incarnation of the parts, which only held one object at a time and could be <completely> replaced with a different object with an entire hour of meditation. The new parts never had two items absorbed at once.

Anyway, what, besides the absortion thing, is wrong with the newest write-up of the PC? I can't solve the problem if you don't give me specifics.

And the removal part is why I started this absorbtion crap in the first place. I don't want them to be removable so absorbing something that could be uprgraded normally was my solution. Otherwise I just can't upgrade at all. Which really stinks. Couldn't he just [editted out]

Edit: I'm such an idiot. What if the hands and feet each had a tiny sphere embedded in the palm, and any enchantment on the sphere applies to the part. That makes it both removable and unremovable and solves the absorption issue.

Stats & Facts
Name - Alan
Titles - nope
Race - half-elf
Age -14
Height - 5'7"
Weight -110
Appearance - She's a mahogany color with hair paler than the moon and blue eyes which hue changes from time to time. She has naturally arched eyebrows which are white and a scar runs from over her heart all the way down to her hip in a slanted angle. Her ears are pointy and she often reminds people of a twig, stick, or pole.
Apparel - Black pants and skirts as well as black shirts and tops. She also likes to wear outfits that look like saris (also in black).

Background -Alan was disowned by her elven family. She wasn't meant to be born, her mother was supposed to kill her after she was born. No one was to know what the child was. The agreement was that they'd tell anyone who asked that the baby was dead, that there were complications and it died. But Seras didn't want to kill her baby, the one that gave her such great pains, the one who was causing all this trouble. Her and her father who just so happened to be dead, killed by her father when he learned what they had been doing and all about their affair. So Seras decided that she'd lie and pretend she did kill it but in reality would have sent it away to wherever she was to send it. Even though she didn't really want to be a mother, she felt a little sad sending her baby away to who knew where where there were who knew what. She was hoping that wherever she ended up being, she'd never stumble back and that she'd be happy and content even though she'd technically be an orphan.
She was a baby, no one can resist babies, especially such a perfect little baby as her. So after she convinced a human traveler to take her daughter to his world and find her a safe place, promising him that if he didn't she'd surely come after him and cut his throat, she made herself look sullen and went back home acting as if she was irreparably depressed. Her father told her it was for the better, her mother invited guys over. Possible candidates.
The man ended up giving Alan to an old couple who so dearly wanted a child but could never conceive one so they adopted and raised children. They were kindly old people who liked having the laughter of children around them. They raised Alan to be a polite girl with manners although she did end up getting in trouble quite often, most of the time not meaning it. She was referred to as the freak, weirdo, and other names that weren't very comforting.
Now there had been a girl who quickly became friends with her. She didn't stay very long but she stayed long enough to entice Alan to get out there and start exploring. She was a bit of a restless one anyway, drinking up any knowledge she could. Experiencing things first hand seemed much more appealing to her. Of course she'd have to tell her parents who everyone thought were her great grandparents. She did it kind of on the sly and when she got the reply she wanted, she congratulated herself for her cleverness. Of course they would have said no if she asked straight out, they wouldn't want her to leave even though they had other children to deal with.
That was why she had to ask on the sly. Knowing that they couldn't do anything to get her to stay, they let her go and that was that. Her adventures awaited her and her first hand experiences.

Name – Carl Lotreab
Titles - None that would matter in Jinaria
Race – Human [Freepara]
Age -- 12 (Would have been pretty old for a Bird, I guess.)
Height - 4’10
Weight - 80
Appearance
A smallish pre-teen with light-tan skin, Carl's face looks mostly human. He has a medium-sized nose, a thin mouth, and his hair is short and with natural rainbow-colored strands. His eyes are vaguely bird-like. Perhaps what stands out the most is his multi-hued tail - like one you'd expect on a tropical bird.
Apparel – A rainbow-hued shirt and grey pants, covered in an ivory chainmail. The chainmail is connected to a bracer on his right hand, which in turn is attached to steel cord. The cord is connected to his blade, the remainder wrapped around the boy's arm. An additional strand of steel is fused with a tiny talon-glove he has tied to a string around his wrist. He wears a silver pendant set with obsidian around his neck, and a multi-metal rainbow colored ring on his finger. Finally, he carries a sack on his back.
Background
Before the accident:
Carl was born a Freepara, a sentient island bird. Living among his flock in paradise, Carl was as happy as a bird could be. However, it was not meant to be. Around age 9 Carl was captured by the dreaded "old glasses-wearing nearly-retired birdhunter" McSimmons, taken from his homeland of My'kurr, and was thereafter sold to the mainlanders. For nearly 3 years Carl was sold around the mainland, sad if occasionally fed, until he was bought by one "Korelay".
At this point a bunch of stuff happened and in the end Carl ended up working for Aro Lotreab. The shadow mage taught Carl a great many things, eventually giving the bird a cloak that allowed him to assume human form.

A few months later at Aro finally called in owed favors and completed his next great project. But upon activation… something interfered. Carl doesn’t remember what happened that day, only that the world he was knocked out in and the one he woke up in were not the same.

After:
Carl, although heartbroken, began to travel across the land in search of his teacher. He found none, eventually realizing that he was no longer in Epic. He now walks the streets of Keir, contemplating the path he is about to take.

Affiliations -
Job – None
Allies - Aro Lotreab
Enemies - I think they're all dead.
Accomplishments
> A number of Pre-Jinaria exploits
Post-Jinaria
> Overcame depression.

Natural Abilities/Disabilities
The tattered cloak – The shifting cloak was ripped to shreds during the accident, yet Carl has yet to return to his original bird form. In fact, he’s more human than ever. His unnatural strength is mostly gone, leaving him with a -.5 empower.

A bird among men: Despite his current predicament, all effects pertaining to/based on race/blood still count Carl as a Freepara.

Duelist's Legacy – Origami Blade
Although Carl’s blade can no longer change its shape, it is still his blade and he will master it. Battle posts count only your posts, and only those in which you actually fight..
Level 1 - Carl are more intimidating and his attacks are stronger with the origami blade; he receives a half Natural Empower (total .5), and Battle Intimidation. You have a Willbond with your chosen weapon. [This brings his total empower to “1” instead of “1.5”]
Required Battle Posts – 0

Level 2 - You are more focused and quick with your chosen weapon, allowing you to block more easily. You can parry an attack such that your next attacks lands with double power, up to thrice times per encounter.
Required Battle Posts - 25
Level 3 - Your intimidation and your speed with your chosen weapon increases; double Battle Intimidation, and you can strike hard enough to send jarring vibrations through a blocking weapon, sometimes forcing the defender to drop their weapon.
Required Battle Posts - 55
Level 4 - If feasible, you can the ability to precisely throw your weapon. You learn Overpower; deliver a strike that is four times as powerful. Can only be used once every four posts.
Required Battle Posts - 90
Level 5 - Your attacks are stronger; recieve an additional half Natural Empower (total 1). You wield your chosen weapon with such speed and grace that those who try to focus on it will become dazed and disoriented.
Required Battle Posts – 130

Parrot Tounge- Carl is capable of magically throwing his voice. He can also imitate the sound of anything or anyone he has listened to for 3 posts. The accident appears to have jarred most previous sounds from his memory.

Skills

Armor
Origami Armor- Like Carl himself, the accident has left the once-shapeshifting Armor stuck in its current form. Chainmail covers Carl complete with a bracer on his right arm. The bracer is connected to a thin, 20ft steel cord that is attached to the hilt of a blade. Most of the cord is wrapped around Carl’s arm The ivory-colored material is Steel Strength and paper-sharp.
The rest of the armor material is stuck within Carl’s dysfunctional glove.

Weapons
Non-Magical

Origami Blade – A part of the Origami Armor, the sword itself is designed in a folded-steel style that works best against lightly armored foes and doesn’t fare as well against heavy armor as more traditional blades. Magikeeper is carefully avoiding the dropping of any “k” bombs so let’s move on yes okaylessgo.

Non-Weapon Items - Accessories
Magical

Rainbow Ring - A band of multiple metals and materials all somehow fused into a single, multi-colored band. Can release a soft spray of ink in one of twelve colors; white, green, blue, sky blue, brown, red, indigo, teal, black, gray, amber. The ink’s magic, however, appears to be no more. Useful for coloring things though – the ink is water-proof.

Non-Magical
- A silver pendant with obsidian setting on a silver chain
- A tiny talon glove attached to a bracelet.
- A silver wristband the holds a cracked amethyst-encrusted screen. Frankly, it’s about as useful as when it was magical.

Cloak Tatters- Carl has kept the remains of his cloak, but the pile of ripped cloak is unwearable.

Non-Weapon Items - Miscellaneous
Magical
Ducky! - Carl's ducky was of a pretty silver, barely tinted with green, though it did bear miniature emerald eyes. When squeezed, it would wheeze with delight as the area within a five feet radius filled with spirit ducklings. Those days are no more – however, the quacks of happy ducklings can be faintly heard whenever the ducky is squeezed.

Non-Magical

Containers
A sack he carries on his back.

Name Darla De'Lorimar
Race Human
Age/Weight/Height 22 / Dour look / 6' 9"
Appearance Standing at nearing 7 feet and remarkably lithe, Darla is not a person you would think of getting in a fight with. Though in truth this might be partially due to the fact that her intimidating stature is matched by her beauty and grace. Her mahogany hair is pulled into a well kept plait that comes down just between her shoulders, tied in place with a dull purple fabric band. Her tanned complexion brings out the depths of her grey-green eyes, which seem to somehow be bright and distant at the same time. Her toned body is almost entirely without scar or blemish, save for the small tattoo of an ankh-in-sun just below her throat.
Apparel Darla's usual outfit consists of a simple off-white cotton shirt, a worn leather jacket with a deep purple in-seam and black corduroy style trousers. This is topped off with a pair of low but sturdy leather boots and a leather belt.
Background Darla's parents were happily married, with no real strife or suffering in their lives. Her father was a farmer who took a paladin like position in his home village, and her mother a magical student who specialised in summoning. She learned from an early age that she had inherited some magical ability from both of them, but sadly no real aptitude for learning to use it effectively. Physical training came to her much more easily, as such it wasn't long before she took up acrobatics. When she grew up she eventually got that adventuring itch that sometimes strikes people and set out to do some good in the world.

Skills and Abilities
>Fighter's Instinct - Darla is a naturally capable fighter, and understands the basics of a small number of fighting styles.
>Acrobatics - Darla is naturally nimble and capable of feats of agility that most people would find beyond them.
>Guardian's Legacy - Darla's body is naturally attuned with spirit magics, each spell she learns being absorbed into her body immediately and fuelling her progress. While she is unable to comprehend the complexities involved in casting any of these spells, their power is channelled into her hands and arms.
>>Darla's hands, up to her wrists, are made of a magical ivory, flexible as flesh and strong as steel. Each of her palms contains a small translucent crystal that pulses with a tiny amount of light. These gems can produce auras that cost a spell to activate and use a summoning slot to maintain.
Level 0: Darla can will the gems in her palms to glow white, surrounding her with an aura of diffuse light that allows her to see in dark places. This light can be seen only by Darla.
Level 1: Darla can will the gems in her palms to glow a deep red colour, surrounding her in a subtle aura of blood red energy, granting her battle intimidation.
Level 2: Darla can will the gems to surround her in a teal aura that increases her speed by 100 percent.

Spells
Spirit
Surge of Light - 0 - An example of Darla's total inability to master the casting of spells. In the hands of a skilled mage, this spell would release a burst of golden light harmful to the eyes of anyone who meant the caster ill. Darla's version releases a spray of dull golden sparks that... well... look shiny.
Also, Gan-Har and Den-Day.

Items
>Pouches - A small number of pouches containing some small supplies and her gold, attached to her belt.
