Name Hartigan Vos Pharos

Age/Weight/Height ?? / 178 lbs. / 6'2"
Appearance Short dark red hair slicked back, and from the back, spiked in several blades and points. Black eyes with flecks of red in the irises, his face is severe, cold, and certainly contemplating. Medium build, with a slightly pale complexion- his world does not always live in sunlight. His right hand is forever covered by a crystal gauntlet. His left hand is marked in runes. The rune on the back of his hand is set in black ink, the rune for death in his ancient tongue. There are several runes on each of his knuckles, but they do not yet hold the power that the central rune holds. His back bears a tattoo of leathery bat wings, almost too realistic to determine as a tattoo, but alas, they are.
Apparel Tall collared black shirt, with barely noticeable silver pinstripes. Blood red silver sash through the belt loops of his black leather pants. Heavy dark red trenchcoat with stylized cuts and curves to allow for incredible movement with it. Tall gila hide boots. Silver chain around his neck, with a small golden bar.
Memories You'll have to wait and see.

So there's out first example, mine's following. Notice, folks, that Mel changed Duelist Legacy's name and text (but not the abilities) to make it fit her character better. Here comes mine.

Stats & Facts
Name - Nesami
Titles - The Dancer
Race - Human? (See below)
Age - Seems teenaged, if anything.
Height - 4'3"
Weight - 94 lbs.

Appearance - Terms of gender slide off Nesami like hooves on ice. The word 'he' only applies because "he" applies to all genders. The figure of Nesami is both feminine and masculine at once. The flat chest and slightly narrow hips make it believed that Nesami is male, while the soft features and lithe, as opposed to muscular, body alters views as well. In any case, Nesami has the body of a person that has spent many years training in such activities as dancing, swimming, or running. Not particularly muscular in look, but a lithe and flexible body that holds a different kind of strength. His skin is the color of ground bones, or perhaps chalk. The type of coloring you'd expect from an albino with a tan. His hair is a dirty blonde, baings and such falling messily over his face, braided from the base of his neck and falls down to the small of his back, a sharpened metal 'x'-shaped figure tied into the end of it. His eyes are the dark black of a moonless night, pupils fading into irises, making an effect much like a solar eclipse. His ears are a bit odd, quite pointed and half again as long as most ears are, giving him a slightly elven look. Nesami also wears red paint markings on his face. Two crescent moons over each eye, points towards his ears, and a reversed 'u' shape, the lines jagged like lightning, meets just under his nose and then drops down, over white lips, to either side of his chin.

Apparel - His apparel is as ambiguous as his appearance. All of his clothing is white, or so light a tan that it hardly matters. His legs are clad in form-fitting trousers, following every body movement with very little in the way of wrinkles, yet made of a light cotton that breathes and moves easily. The bottom of each leg is wrapped in a length of guaze-like material that tucks into snug boots. These boots, white brahma leather, are strapped on at the top, and over the ankle with belt-like buckles with brass fastenings. Around his torso is a shirt that looks more wrapped than anything. While he'd be the first to show you that it's truly a garment, it looks more like a two foot thick strip of cloth had been wound around his body multiple times, creating a layered effect. While the shirt does go over his shoulders next to his neck, his actual shoulders are bare. The hem of the shirt seems to be a mistake, as the right side is always completely over the waist of the pants while the left side habitually rises over it. His arms are clad in material as form-fitting as his pants and the same extremely light coloration as the rest of his clothing. He also wears something like a poncho, yet more oval in color that only goes down over his collarbone and, like the shirt, seems to lean to the right constantly. His hands are clad in white fingerless gloves. The gloves are the one garment with non-white color, with a black raindrop like shape with a curved tail holding a white circle in the bottom of the drop, and a black dot held in the curve as if a mother cat guarding her kitten. Last is a belt around his waist with two identical loops to carry his clubs.

Background - It'd be nice to say that Nesami, or Nes to his friends, is a normal boy. It'd also be nice to say he's a rich son of a sultan who has a penchant for philanthropism. Neither are true. Nes is actually from another world, or close enough that it would make sense. At least, that's what he keeps on telling himself. The only other excuse is madness. He recalls being two people. A boy, a monk from a monastery that worshipped balance in all things. A girl, a farmgirl who loved dancing. The boy left home on a pilgrimage to bring balance to the world, the girl ran away from home to escape an arranged marriage. The two came across each other by accident and then... Something happened. Nes isn't entirely sure. While he has memories of both lives, he draws a blank at this point. All he knows is that before this blank, he was two people. After this blank, he was Nes. Apparently there was a flash, or an explosion. Townsfolk came running to find a boy with two people's belongings. A quick interrogation later showed that something was quite off about the boy. Especially the lack of memory. A local mage was called to investigate. This mage spent weeks performing tests and various spells on Nes to try to figure out what was wrong with him. In a fit of frustration he cast a curse, quite on accident, on Nes. This curse didn't seem to do much more than vanish him... Or, at least, so the mage thought. Nes was cast to Jinaria... With a strange bottle in one hand and a strange staff in the other. And now, Nes is just trying to make sense of it all.

Natural Abilities and Skills
- Spirit Dancer - Nes' body, and the dance-like fighting that he performs, has naturally increased his acrobatic and athletic ability. This gives him better balance than most, and it allows him to pull off various fighting moves that many could not hope to perform.

Emergence - Djinni of Balance
- The curse cast on Nes is gradually transforming him into a djinni, those magical spirits that wander the land and occasionally grant wishes to lucky passerby. The more that his 'abilities' manifest, the more the curse will bind him.

Level 0 - Nesami's facial markings glow gold in times of stress and seem to writhe into new forms before resolving back to their original formation. He also gains his strange jeweled bottle that he's unwilling, and also unable, to sell or part from.
Level 1 - At the cost of a single spell per post, Nesami can grant the wish of might (an additional half natural empower) by bestowing his bottle to an ally. By keeping the bottle, Nesami can infuse his left hand with heat (as if it were stone lying in the sun for several hours) and his left hand with frost (as if it were a plate left in the freezer for several hours). Golden markings begin to spiral down his arms in intricate and occult designs. They only show themselves in times of stress.
Level 2 - Nes may create up to a cubic foot of blue smoke that smells like brimstone. He may shape this smoke in any way that he wishes, keeping in mind that spreading it reduces the density and compacting it increases the density. It may not be made solid. The golden patterns continue over his hands and fingers, also extending into his eyes. Gold on black in intricate designs, but only when he's stressed.

Level 1
Spirit - Gan-Har - Summon an incorporeal mirror image of yourself. It duplicates your actions but cannot affect the physical world.

Level 2
Spirit - Den-day - Release your inner spirit to increase the healing of yourself or another by touch. This energy calms and accelerates healing seven-fold.

Weapons
- Tripudio Letum - A staff, a foot taller than the boy himself. Made of dark oak fused with white bone with swirls of blue-black metal flowing over the weapon in designs that catch the light and the eye. Around the center are brown leather straps to enhance his grip.
- Spirit Dagger - A blade of amber with a spiraling cross guard and hilt made of a similar, though darker, substance. It is as hard as iron and strengthens Nes whenever he strikse a foe; one strength bonus per foe.

- Bejeweled Bottle - Shaped much like the bottom half of an hourglass that was cut off at the pinch. A rounded bottle with a thin neck for drinking. From the neck it widens considerably down to a bell shape. Then, at the widest part, it narrows slightly before flattening out at the bottom. The bottle is closed by a charming and rich-looking stopper. A jewel, in fact, that reflects most every color of the rainbow when the light hits it. A gold wire holds the stopper to the bottle, and a gold lock holds that stopper on. A look that appears to have no key hole. The bottle itself isn't to be outdone by the stopper. It seems to be made of several circular tiers of cubes. There is almost no gap between each of these blocks, no artificer or jeweler would ever disassemble the masterpiece. Each block is a gem, colored magnificently, with strange black lines that look like cut off designs. None of the colors seem to be together, and none of the lines seem to match up. The general form of the bottle, the outline of the blocks, and the lines themselves are made up a smooth metal, colored in a smoky gray. The bottom of the bottle holds a foot of this same gray metal. Oddly, into this foot is cut a strange indentation that is circular yet not perfectly so. It almost looks as if this was done afterwards as an afterthought. The metal on the bottom is scratched in a way that only metal can do to other metal. In addition to this, there are strange golden flecks stuck down here and nowhere else.

Appearance: Ubiquitous golden-brown hair, it's lustrous tresses falling freely to her lower back, reminding you of fierce desert winds. A girly, coquettishly pretty heart-shaped face, minute dimples appearing on her soft, slightly rounded cheeks whenever she feels the need to grace you with one of her disarming smiles. A very heated complexion, perfectly tanned a nice copper; it's always warm to the touch. Sensually full lips, that you'd expect to find on a more mature women, they are colored with a blood-red lip paint. A smooth mildly widened forehead, which fits Kismét to a tee, but would be unattractive on anyone else. Dangerously zealous, almond shaped eyes that posses a womanly appetite; colored a dark onyx like that of a scarabaeus beetle, they are surrounded by a gilded eye-shadow and accentuated from the lid by black markings of insect wings. An elegantly long, swan-like neck that Kis is particularly proud of. A very supple bosom, not overly large they are reminiscent of ripened fruit. Finally, an attractive scent that is neither male nor female, it lightly smells of the slow burning smoke of a smoldering fire mixed in with a peculiar aroma you have yet to smell, but somehow remember.
Apparel: A magnificently sheer turquoise chemise, cut-off at the shoulders with a décolleté neckline; the middle half is cut out in a diamond shape from the lower half of her breasts to the navel; of which is pierced by several golden rings with chains caressing up her torso like serpents. Glittering about her bare shoulders is a diaphanous satin stole, dyed a light ocher. Cinched at her waist is a long, flowing white sash that hangs to around her knees. Plaited with a multitude of black netting and lace is a classic pancake tutu, lined with crinoline wire, it hangs midway down her thighs. Satin, turquoise ballerina shoes cover her feet laced up to her knees. Strung throughout her glowing locks are mother-of-pearls, her left ankle is adorned with a silver and ivory anklet, and dangling just above her bosom is an evil-eye stone, or Nazar.
Background: Kismét is a native of Jinaria, her people are a nomadic tribe hailing from no one part of the continent. Their culture revolves around the following and tracking of elemental beings; though not a relegion, the Jinnaye believe they're descended from them. However, being raw manifestations of natural magic, they're often times primitive and rarely benevolent, who've recently found the Jinnaye simply amusing. Kismét, which translates as destiny, is the byproduct of a union between an elemental and tribal psychopomp; the priestesses of their people. Kismét is the first Marid born in recent memory, that being so, growing up amongst her people she was treated with absolute reverence, being seen as a living embodiement of nature. Though, as she matured as both a women and person, she came to realize the truth of her birth--that the coupling of elemental and priestess is simply rape and nothing more. Sickened, and disillusioned with her existence, Kismét fell into a deep ennui that was only broken by a schism between the elder tribesman and a group of dissidents. The rebels, wanting to sacrifice Kismét to please their elemental patrons tried to capture the girl resulting in a bitter fight on both sides. After escalating losses, Kismét was finally snuck out of the Jinnaye main camp. Embittered, and finding herself, whether she likes it or not, an exiled head of state and refugee amongst the Keirians, she's taken it upon herself to track down her wayward 'father'.

Skills/Attributes
Charis of Beauty
Marids are strongly tied to the forces they're born from, as a result, they usually are an embodiment of one of natures ideals; in this case Kismét to her people, is seen as a grace of beauty, a natural example of it's raw attractiveness and appeal. Therefore Kismét is seen as having a double charisma effect at all times, and her charisma may never be reduced by any means.
A Sermon in the Thunder
Not wholly understood outside of her tribe, and being a half-breed of a magical union, Kismét is banned from joining guilds or societies as they know she is touched by powers outside their own.
Daughter of the Jinnaye (Lvl: 0)
Tempestuous to a fault, Kismét has always had a wonderous temper, one that is legendary amongst her peoples. Called the Daughter of Storm because her yellings always signaled the advent of some calamity, a result of her inherent powers.

Appearance – Kerrigan is a Jakari of modern, urban decent. Through generations of city life and human cross breeding, the man bears only the faintest resemblance of his feline heritage. Looking more like a short stout man than a feline of grace and elegance, Kerrigan’s only tell tale signs of his lineage are his pointed ears and slanted almost feline eyes of an otherworldly amber hue. The mans skin is a roasted tan color that borders on bronze. Stout in appearance, the Jakari has a well muscled upper body in addition to his short yet effective legs. Upon his skull rests a full head jet black hair almost always worn slicked back to the point of appearing greasy. Other than his feline amber eyes, the Jakarai’s most noticeable trait is a thick and full moustache that appears simultaneously burly and well groomed upon his lip. Matching this thick moustache is a small perfectly triangular patch of hair that falls from just below his lower lip all the way down to his
chin.

Apparel – Kerrigan keeps a well dressed appearance that commands respect from those around him. Over his torso rests a deep blue linen jacket adorned with narrow white stripes always worn open over a vest of an identical design. Beneath the vest is a seldom seen white silk shirt. The mans leggings are simple less well tailored but still formidable when compared to the garb worn by the men who surround him. Normally, this consists of little more than a pair of straight black linen pants that fall to ankle length. A pair of cheap black leather work boots are always on his feet.

Background – Born to the lowest rungs of society in a small port town, Kerrigan has aspired from his youth to become a man of influence and power. Unlike many others born of his standing who seek to right the wrongs of society or overthrow the rich and powerful who have oppressed them, Kerrigan only seeks to become more powerful and influential than those around him. Through a series of thefts, murder and other lesser crime, the Jakarai has already made a small name for himself as a man who is not to be trifled with. After amassing a few hundred gold pieces, Kerrigan journeyed out to the cavernous city of Kier in search of a land were a man can carve his own destiny.

Level 1 - Release the pollen of the Golden Poppy, which attracts those who smell it, and vitalizes plant-based life.

Level 2 - Release the Papyrin Fruit spore, which dulls the senses of those who inhale it.
Level 3 - Release the pollen of the Tritisic Honeypot, which hangs in the air and allures those who smell it, holding fast their attention.
Level 4 - Release the Gragarin Feathertrap spore, which dazes and confuses those who inhale it.
Level 5 - Spores and pollens are released in thicker clouds at longer ranges; they can immediately affect several targets up to thirty feet (30') for five (5) posts.

Couple of things. First, the race is the Jakari, not Jakarai. You might want to fix that so I don't ridicule you mercilessly. :p

Second of all, there's no such thing as a x5 modifier. You should probably have x2-3, if that.

Fixed my spelling and changed the dagger to a X$ modifier which is the strength of steel. There is no reason in the world why a charachter with nothing other than an LSS and a few flavor items shouldn't be able to start with a steel dagger I mean what is the difference between an iron and steel dagger, 9 gold?

Natural Abilities
Golan has the incredible ability to be either Drunk or Sober at will. Golan has fine tuned this highly useful and effective ability so that he can choose exactly how inebriated he is at any given time. It doesn't involve some kind of complicated altering of his blood compostion ... drunk is just a state of mind. :cool:

Fire - Lord of Flames
Those with an affinity to Flame can alter it through their will to types of fire seldom seen in nature. The caster can only modify spells this way, or small, natural fires.
Level 0 - Shadow Flame - Transform a flame into a black fire, which casts light only for the caster.
Level 1 - Frostbite Flame - Transform a flame into an icy-blue fire that burns cold, but still damages.
Level 2 - Starfire - Transform a flame into a glaring white fire that can blind those who look directly at it for one to three posts.

Race - High Elf

Age - Young, the elf version of '16' (Which really is probably older... but it's difficult to say in human years as elves don't tend to view them the same way.)

Height - 5.8'

Weight - 54kgs

Appearance - Lovely, slender, grey eyes that regularly change colour from grey, to blue, to green, to blue green. (Not magic, just a natural quirk of grey eyes.) Golden Irish-Red hair that's thick and very straight from the sheer weight of it. Naturally, she has the pale skin, taller than Human women, skin is slightly golden but very pale still.

Apparel - Rather regular elven garb, nothing too special. Clothes have concealed pouches under the arms/in the bodice to hide her jewellery. She only has a couple of changes, and one 'special' dress, plus a light weight shift for sleeping in.

Background - Like other High Elves, she was born of two elves. She hasn't ever had it properlly explained to her, nor has it been explained to others, but it was prophesized that she would be eventually of great wisdom and diplomatic value between the races, one with the ability to sway wars with her mind, be of value upon the battlefield them with her skill of mind and eventual understanding of races... though, she would not be a fighter herself.
Her father was someone else of some importance, someone involved in diplomacy between races after they were 'asked to leave'. She was often encouraged and brought to meetings from very young, fairly rare as most don't get to see Elven young, in order for her to absorb an understanding of all cultures, to forefill her destiny as it was foretold. Corynder met Humans, Jakari, rarely wood elves, Half Elves, and though it was totally against their way of thinking, was encouraged to think of Half Elves as she would Jakari or Human- her father/mentor believed that it would be impossible to address them if she thought of herself as better. But she was also taught to hide this, taught that she had to bend her manners to suit those around her.
Being so young, she really isn't well trained in spells, she hasn't been taught of any weapon beyond very basic self defence with a staff, her main training has solely been in diplomacy and tactics. (Basically, because someone had a prophecy about her being this, they decided they may as well make sure it happened.) Corynder is still innocent and slightly native of the world beyond hers, though she has some good understanding of other races, has no understanding yet of what War is, what true fighting is, has never been allowed to have a lover. Eventually, she will only be allowed four life partners, those to protect her in war and battle, Elves who may only be lover to her, and who she may only be lover to. But, being young, that's not exactly something anyone has been worrying about. It's mostly training and experience that she needs, and the start of archery training, so according to her mentors the issues of lifepartners/lovers can wait.
As of yet, she has very little knowledge of the Gaar. She's just been pushed out, gently, to go out on her own and make her own discoveries about people.

Apparel - He also uses a dagger pocket on the back of his belt.
Background - Kuyo was from an ancient disnasty. His family never stepped a foot out of the forest. Due to this enclosure, Kuyo started to learn alchemy at the age of 17.

When he made 18 he found out books of a dark force. He quickly trainned himself in the way of the necromancy and dark spells. He almost got fond of it.

At the age of 20 he began his journey around the earth to discover other books of the dark force.

Spells

Dark (Necromancy) Spells

- Dark Nova Lvl 0 - The daggers become laced with a poison for one post. This poison causes muscles to fail in a localized area when introduced to the blood stream. Use once per five posts.
- Shroud Lvl 1 - Summons an area of Unlight ten feet (10') across around a target. This effect is strictly line of sight.
- Deadshot Lvl 1 - Release a fist-sized blast of Unlight from your hands, to an effective range of twenty feet (20') striking with twice the force of a punch. It does half as much damage to the caster, regardless of if it strikes its target.
- Unholy Armor Lvl 2 - Summon a suit of spiked plate mail and a helm of Unlight, tough as iron.
