[Keir] The Sauced Mule

On one of the lower tiers rests the Mule, well known for a good drink and a good time. Once upon a time the tavern actually had rooms for sleepers, but the rowdy crowd kept them awake. Opting to make a hall for games of chance, the inn became a tavern. From the outside it looks homely, uninteresting. A two story building squat in the middle of one of the blocks. It even has a front porch with chairs and tables for those interested in that sort of thing.

Inside, though, it becomes a true tavern. There's a dozen round tables with four times that many chairs, all usually populated at any given time. Half a dozen waitresses in skimpy clothes going around, doing their best to make the customers buy another round. Booths line the walls for those who want a more private atmosphere. Even a bar with several stools for heavy drinkers.

Upstairs is a large hall with square tables, one chair to each side. There's a minor bar here, but the hall is mostly for games. There's a pack of cards per table as well as other games of chance.

And whenever there's a problem, you just know that the owner, Bruce, will come out wielding his oak club to settle the dispute.

Bruce - "I could. But I'd rather just let it end on its own. The Watch will be around shortly."

Corynder stood in the doorway, her belongings under her cloak, staring around. She yelped softly as she was bumped deeper into the place. It was full of laughter and song, but also of males and females half naked, races of all kinds, no place to really relax. Corynder's cheeks burnt as she felt eyes bore into her as well, suggestive comments... was going back to the garden too late? But here she was, and she was hungry. Corynder slid sideways, finding a wall and pressing up against it, hoping she could just hide there... no one would notice, surely, they were all busy. Maybe she'd find a piece of bread or fruit to buy then she could slip back out unnoticed.

Elliot was out of his element to say the least, the city held little appeal for him, but it was a necessity if he wanted to experience adventure, and see all there was to see in the world, and so here he was. In walls again. looking for adventure and money.

He entered the bar and looked around rather jumpily and then took a seat near the bar. He looked nervously at the bartender and then asked. "Uh... Could I get a beer?"

**Kerrigan turned towards the large man quickly with intent in his eyes.**

Kerrigan- Before you get going back to your office or doing whatever in gods name you were doing before this little injecture, would you be a friend and point me in the direction of the man looking for people on the crypt job?

Elliot looked surprised and then addressed kerrigan. "What a coincidence, I'm actually looking to apply for the same job." He laughed shakily, his brown hair, with green streaks waving as he looked around again, uncomfortable.

A man in the back wearing a breast plate and a tunic with tights underneath raises a hand, "That'd be me."

Golan chugs the rest of his Whiskey.

"Well, I'll leave you to it then. Have a nice day, Bill."

Golan didn't know Kerrigans name, so he made one up and assumed it was correct. Then, Golan staggered out of the bar into the bright daylight of not-quite-noon.

One minute later, Golan storms back into the bar with no difficulty walking.

"Bruce! Have you seen Shane Olmane around?"

"Thanks anyhow Bruce. I figured if anyone knew about public lewdness, it'd be you!"

With a wink and a wave, Golan steps out again.

**Kerrigan stared Elliot in the eyes with a look that said, do you think I care? Regardless of the mans insolence, with all the traps abound the group could use a gulliable man to lead the way.**

Kerrigan- Well isn't that a coincidence, I'm sure such a bold and dangerous mission can benefit from a man so perceptive as yourself. Follow along why don't you?

**With that the Jakari walked over to the tunic wearing man with beer in hand. After sitting the brew on the table, Kerrigan himself took a seat and offered a hand to the armored man.**

Kerrigan- Kerrigan's the name, I hear you are looking for a couple of men to help you along on an expedition into a tomb or some such.

Kuyo opened the door for the tavern. Kuyo was with his hood put on and a cape covering his armor. He gazed upon the mass drunk people in that room. He quickly reached the balcon and looked around. "Can i have a beer please?" After saying this he gazed again upon the room only to see the mix of races.

It was surprisingly easy to slip through the crowd unnoticed here. Corynder was too dressed, too tall, too dirty for their liking, and the grasp she had on her bundle almost made her look pregnant. But the women who were serving had no time for her, or they hadn't noticed her, she found it impossible to ask for food and drink. Snippets of conversation kept passing around her but she heard nothing useful to her while she was tired from the road.

Corynder slipped back outdoors to slip onto Filix's back and together they headed back for the park slowly.

Elliot smiled nervously again, not understanding the mans look. "Oh umm... thank you..." as Kerrigan left, he stood and followed. "I would like to assist as well." He didn't have the look of a seasoned veteran, but he hoped the man would consider him,if only for his size.
