General Information

Name:
Lelouch Lamperouge

Alias:
Lelouch Vi Britannia (Real Name)
Zero
Black prince
King of Elevens

Gender: Male

Age: 22

Birthdate: December 5, 1999 a.t.b.

Birthplace: Britannia

History: Lelouch is the son of the Emperor of Britannia, Charles Di Britannia, and the late Imperial Consort Marianne, making Lelouch a prince and a member of the Britannian Imperial Family. He was the eleventh prince and seventeenth in line for the throne prior to his mother's assassination and his sister's crippling in the same incident. A 10-year-old Lelouch confronted the Emperor afterwards and accused him of leaving his mother defenseless, even going as far as renouncing his entitlement to the throne. In response, his father declared him stripped of his status as prince and banished him to Japan, where he was used as a political hostage over the Sakuradite conflict.

It was during his stay at the Kururugi household that he first met Suzaku Kururugi, with whom the young Lelouch did not interact initially in a friendly manner, before later becoming friends. However, when Britannia finally developed its Knightmare Frames fleet and decided to invade Japan to seize control of the Sakuradite mines, consequently discarding Lelouch's use as a diplomatic tool, Lelouch, fearing for his and his sister's safety, hid their true identities and sought the help of the Ashford family, who were his mother's allies.

His mother's death and his father's apparent lack of concern in regards to it were huge blows to Lelouch. He always felt that it was unfair for both his mother and sister, and therefore made it his goal to pursue a better world for Nunnally. He also seeks to discover the true reason for his mother's death, as she was murdered in the Aries Imperial Palace, a place terrorists would be unlikely to penetrate successfully without being noticed, if at all.

Lelouch is introduced in the first episode of the series to be a student of the Ashford Academy high school, where he is a member of its student council. A brilliant thinker who is quite talented at chess, he lives with his younger sister, Nunnally, with their maid, Sayoko Shinozaki, at a house situated within the compounds of Ashford Academy, where they are looked after by the Ashford family.

Lelouch is soon swept into the conflict between the Britannia Empire and the pockets of resistance which oppose it when he accidentally boards a truck being used by Japanese resistance operatives. Within the truck is a capsule holding C.C., who sacrifices herself to save him from the military forces trying to recapture her. When it seems as if her sacrifice was pointless, C.C. suddenly touches his hand and offers him the "Power of the King", the mythical power of Geass. The Geass manifests itself in him as the power of absolute obedience, which allows him to make people obey his orders without question. He uses this power to order the Britannian soldiers to kill themselves in his real name.

With his new power, Lelouch begins his rebellion against the Empire, starting by killing his half-brother, Clovis, after extracting information about the murder of his mother, Marianne. He later forms the yhe Order of the Black Knights and takes up the identity of Zero to lead them, becoming a revolutionary and gaining popular support amongst the people.

The turning point in his rebellion comes when Euphemia Li Britannia declares the region under Mount Fuji the Special Administrative Zone of Japan, giving the Japanese people their name and country back, albeit in a much smaller area. This effectively destroys any possibility of the Black Knights' rebellion; acceptance would render them powerless and refusal would make them pariahs. Lelouch confronts her at the opening ceremony and tries to have her shoot him, hoping to make himself a martyr. When she says she plans to give up her title, he surrenders and agrees to work with her. However, at this moment his Geass permanently activates, and an offhand comment about ordering her to kill the Japanese forces her to do just that. Lelouch is forced to kill Euphemia to end the ensuing massacre, but in doing so becomes a hero of the people. Using this newfound support, Lelouch announces the creation of the United State of Japan and is able to lead an attack on the Tokyo Settlement. The attack goes well at first, but when Lelouch learns that Nunnally has been kidnapped, he abandons the battle, leaving his forces helpless against the much better organized Britannian forces.

Lelouch and C.C. make their way to Kaminejima to search for Nunnally, where Lelouch is confronted by Suzaku Kururugi. Lelouch attempts to broker a truce, but Suzaku is distraught over the death of Euphemia and refuses to listen. An angered Lelouch draws his pistol and both Lelouch and Suzaku attempt to shoot one another. A single gunshot is heard as the screen fades to black at the end of the first season.
One year later, Lelouch is living a peaceful life with his younger brother, Rolo Lamperouge, and no memory of his revolutionary activities, his Geass, Nunnally, or his royal lineage. Flashbacks reveal that neither Suzaku or Lelouch managed to kill one another. Instead, Lelouch was apprehended and brought before the Emperor, who used his own Geass to wipe Lelouch's memories and suppress his power.
After being caught in an attack on Babel Tower by the Black Knights, Lelouch is reunited with C.C., who restores his memories. Lelouch resumes his role as the Black Knight leader, and once again announces the formation of the United State of Japan, this time basing his operations in the Chinese Federation's consulate to prevent any attacks by Britannian soldiers, since attacking the consulate would incite all out war with the Chinese Federation.

After learning that the new Governor-General of Area 11 is Nunnally, and that she plans to reestablish the Special Administrative Zone of Japan, Lelouch falls into depression since his Black Knights would be impeding her wishes. He nearly begins taking Refrain before Kallen stops him. With the help of Kallen and his friends at the Ashford Academy, Lelouch realizes that his mission no longer revolves solely around Nunnally, but concerns the rest of the Japanese people as well. Lelouch declares that the Black Knights will support the Special Administrative Region of Japan and manages to negotiate a deal with the Britannians: if Zero can provide one million Japanese people willing to participate in the Special Administrative region, they will exile him from Japan. The Britannians, thinking that Zero is attempting to save himself by sacrificing his men, agree to the deal. However, during the opening ceremony, Lelouch tricks the Britannians and takes advantage of a loophole in the deal. Because nobody knows Zero's true identity, Lelouch has all one million Japanese participants dress up as Zero. Suzaku, unwilling to go back on his word and start another massacre, allows all one million Japanese, including Lelouch, to escape to the Chinese Federation. Suzaku promises Zero that he will take care of the Japanese who wish to stay in Japan.

In the passed four years Lelouch has won most battles against Britannia and has taken over half of Area 11, the half of area 11 he has taken over has been renamed to the United States of Japan. Currently the main headquarters of the United States of Japan is in Tokyo, as Lelouch seen it as the ideal place to set up their headquarters.

He has also set up an alliance with the Chinese federation for the meantime and helped them fight back Australia, when they got invaded. But the Chinese Federation had to supply the Untied States of Japan with Knightmares. The relationship between the Chinese Federation and the United States of Japan has grown from strength to strength as they continually help each other.

Lelouch has now left the Ashford Academy after graduating, and has bow been able to focus completely on the war against Britannia. He still stays with his fake brother Rolo Lamperouge, and has formed a genuine bond with him.

Team/Affiliation: United States of Japan

Job: Leader of the United States of Japan

Characteristics

Visual Appearance: Posted Image

Physical Appearance: Lelouch is a tall, slender teenager with black (or dark auburn) hair and deep, purple eyes. He has an almost delicate frame, and as Lelouch is not a very physically strong person, this makes sense. He's 5'10", has sharp facial features that make him appear very intense (especially when he's angry or insane). He wears a contact lens on his left eye to hide his Geass.

Clothes & Armour: As Zero, Lelouch is dressed in a dark blue unitard with flared leg bottoms and sleeves. It has a gold pattern, on the top part along the edges where the outfit zips up, then down the middle of the pants. The cuffs are also lined with gold fabric, and the sleeve ends are a lighter blue with a fancy gold fabric design on it. Around his neck, Lelouch (as Zero) wears a white cravat with a dark scarf pin in the middle. Under this is a thin black material that he usually wears pulled up over his face, up to below his eyes. Over the unitard, Zero wears a cape that reaches near the bottom of his pants. The top of the cape flares up around his head, and the cape clasps together on the right, near his shoulder. The cape is dark blue like the rest of his outfit, with gold lining; the inside of the cape is red. On his head, Zero wears a mask that goes over his head, like a helmet. The front of the mask is a large purple oval through which Zero can see, and yet prevents anyone from seeing his face. The rest of the helmet is black; the face of the mask is round, but at the top, and on both sides of his face, it spikes up. The back of the mask can retract when he slips it off; otherwise the mask is generally secured on his head. There is a portion of the front of the mask, right in front of his left eye, which can pull away. On his hands, Lelouch wears black gloves.

Personality: The first thing one possibly thinks when thinking of Lelouch is how cool he is- cool in the sense that at school he is a little bit distanced from his fellow classmates as though he isn't quite like them, cool in the way he directs battles with a clear head and a calm demeanour. Lelouch is just cool in the way he handles himself in situations...well, most situations. He's the kind of person who carries himself through life unruffled by its smaller trials and tribulations...but under the surface is hiding something secret, something possibly dangerous, that when it comes out, causes him to lose his composure entirely.

Lelouch does have a bit of insanity to him, though whether this is connected to the geass or not is hard to say. Whenever he is emotionally moved from his usual composure, when he can’t think clearly, when everything he plans doesn’t go the way he wants, he tends to freeze up. He doesn't take the failure of his plans very well, when an unforeseen piece enters the playing field. But he soon gains his composure back, puts his head back on, and focuses on the task at hand.

He is a very determined person who does care about certain people, enough for his emotions to get the better of him when those people are hurting...especially when that suffering is caused by him. When he first accepts the geass, he believes he is prepared for whatever is to come, but when his friend Shirley's father is killed as a result of his actions as Zero, Lelouch feels guilt. But he is prepared and he knows that the lives he takes cannot be allowed to be wasted- to give up would make their deaths meaningless.

Description:
Weapons:
Hadron cannon × 2
Slash Harken × 10
Hadron Blaster × 1

Equipment/Installment:
Landspinner propulsion systems (inside its feet)
Integrated Float Unit (gives flight)
Gefjun Disturber
Druid System
Speed Booster

Information:
Named after the Knight of the Round Table, the Gawain is a prototype Knightmare Frame privately developed by Prince Schneizel El Britannia. It is unusual in that it is three times the size of most other Knightmares and features a double-seater cockpit, even though it doesn't need to be operated by two people. It also doesn't seem to feature Factspheres or an identifiable ejection system.

The Gawain is equipped with an integrated Float System, making it capable of sustained flight. Its fingers are miniature Slash Harkens, and it features a pair of shoulder-mounted Hadron Cannons, which can emit continuous streams of destructive energy over prodigious ranges. The Knightmare is initially incomplete, and its Hadron Cannons fire erratically. The unit is perfected by the Black Knights' scientific mastermind, Rakshata, who uses her Gefjun Disturber technology to gain control of the Hadron cannons' erratic firepower. As a side benefit, the Disturber's natural disruption properties also render the Gawain invisible to radar.

The Gawain's lack of weapons belies its true function, as its advanced electronics and the experimental Druid System analysis complex mark it as a powerful commander unit. However, its size and lack of weapons make it more of a powerhouse than a superiority unit, and as such more maneuverable units can run circles around it on the battlefield, as demonstrated by Cornelia.

Zero and Kallen steal the Gawain in order to escape from the Kaminejima Island ruins. Despite the amount of new technology consequently lost, Schneizel dismisses the Gawain's theft, considering it to be a mere "experimental subject". After its technology is perfected, it becomes Lelouch Lamperouge's and C.C.'s personal Knightmare; C.C. handles the piloting while Zero operates the weapons and issues orders. The Gawain later proves instrumental in Zero's plans during the invasion of the Tokyo Settlement, single-handedly wiping out the totality of Britannia's air support in the area. The Gawain is presumably destroyed during a battle with the powerful Siegfried Knightmare when C.C. uses its Slash Harkens to entangle the Siegfried and drag them both into the crushing depths of the ocean.

The Gawain is later retrieved from the ocean but suffered major damage, Rakshata then began work to fix the Gawain. Half a year later and she had fixed it while added some upgrades. She installed a speed booster into it to increase it’s speed and make it a match for the superior Knightmare Frames, and also created a Hadron Blaster. The Hadron blaster looks like the Lancelot’s Varis particle rifle, although the Hadron Blaster is black. The Hadron rifle doesn’t possess the power of the Hadron cannons but can still easily pierce through Knightmare frames, making it a suitable weapon.
The speed booster increases the Gawain’s speed to the point where it can match the speed of most advanced Knightmare frames, although it can still be overwhelmed by the speed of some Knightmare frames, Such s the Lancelot.

Geass Template

Geass name: The power of absolute obedience

Appearance: Geass sigil in his left eye

Geass Ability: Lelouch’s Geass allows him to plant commands within a person's mind upon eye contact in a manner comparable to hypnosis. The commands given by Lelouch’s Geass cannot be broken, no matter what

Who gave you you’re Geass: C.C

History: Lelouch is swept into a conflict between the Britannia Empire and the pockets of resistance which oppose it when he accidentally boards a truck being used by Japanese resistance operatives.

Geass Weakness: Of all the Geass abilities in the series, Lelouch's has been explored the most, and also seems to have the most restrictions of any Geass introduced. The following parameters for its use have been established:

Commands must be issued verbally.

he victim must make direct eye contact for commands to be issued. The maximum effective distance is 270 meters. Line of sight via a reflective surface is sufficient for the effect to occur.

Commands may be issued only once to any given individual, but any number of commands may be issued at initial application so long as eye contact is unbroken.

The victim will not perform any action disallowed by their physical or mental capabilities, though they will try to carry out the command to the best of their ability. For example, a victim will not be able to correctly answer a question they don't know the answer to, but will direct the user to someone who can if they are able.

An action will be carried out for as long as dictated in its command, or upon the indicated conditional circumstance. Eye contact does not need to be maintained for command execution to occur.

The victim will retain no memories from the duration of command issue and execution.

As demonstrated in Princess Euphemia's response to the command that she kill the Japanese, a victim may resist a commanded action to some degree if it is utterly repugnant to them. Although they aren’t able to completely resist the command, and they will still execute the command.

So long as the above conditions are met, commands may be issued to anybody besides C.C. and to any number of individuals at once. The user himself may also be commanded.
