Repeating Crossbowmen. Chu-ko-nu The Chu-ko-nu is a regular crossbow with a wooden magazine attached to it, as well as a mechanical lever which, with a single motion, pulls back the string and cocks the bolt, allowing for a much quicker reload then with a normal crossbow. The drawbacks are that the Chu-ko-nu delivers much less of a punch and is less accurate then a regular crossbow. Ideal for delivering a witheling hail of fire to the enemy's medium and lightly armored soldiers, but next to useless against the heavily armored troops. Completion date: 2,5 weeks The Emperor has decreed that a total of: 10,000 Pikemen 1,000 Crossbowmen 500 Guandao Infantry Will be recruited and added to the Song Imperial Army In addition, the Song Imperial Navy will be expanded with an additional: 50 galleys |
