Seidou Ichimaru had been in a coma over the past couple of weeks or so. Just about when Byakuya was sent to bring Rukia to Soul Society. He stayed by the watchful eyes of the fourth division. Finally, he was starting to show signs of full consciousness. He opened his eyes. Everything looked a little blurry to him and he had to think about where he was. After a few minutes of collecting himself he remembered what happened to him. Seidou was fortunate enough to still have his memory in tact. Or at least as far as he could tell... he tried standing up, but to no avail. His body still simply too weak. Fourth Division members by this point were going crazy. Taking out the IV tubes. asking random questions which really had little to no significance just to see if there had been any sort of mental damage. Seidou was still to weak to speak very well. There were so many questions he wanted to ask, such as what happened while he was out? I guess it has to wait.... he said to himself. |

Jushiro slowly opened his eyes and saw a bright light. He didn't know where he was. The last thing he remember was that he was in his office clinging onto Kasumi, and telling her about her husband. He didn't know why he said it, but he did. He felt it was the best time for her to know, even though it was not. He tried to sit up, but he felt a pain in his head and layed back down. He turned his head from left to right and relized he was alone. 'I hate being alone. I've spent so much of my life alone, that I hate it.' He never liked being alone, he always loved to have company around him, and when no one was there, he would always be down. He decided that maybe if he said something, someone would hear him and come to see if he was ok. "Kasumi.... are you anywhere near?" He spoke as loud as he could. It was still hard to breath and even harder to talk, but he had to try. |

Kotetsu heard her Captains voice but it was not her he called out for, It was that girl. "Come on the captain seems to be awake." Kotetsu left for where the captain was. |

Hajime held her as she spoke. Her words muffled and disconcerting to him, he wanted to at least hold her in her time of need. However, Kotestu's voice reached his ear about Ukitake-taichou. 'He's awake, good. Maybe now we can get some answers.' Hajime thought as he looked back down at Kasumi. "Let's go, Kasumi-chan. Ukitake-taichou is up." |

Faintly, she heard Ukitake's voice calling for her from a few rooms away. She wanted to rush to him, but for some reason she couldn't move. She wasn't sure if she was more relieved to be able to talk to him, or practically scared to death. Lifting her head and finally releasing Hajime, she heard Kotetsu's voice just before his. She took a deep breath, and tried to inconspicuously slip her hand into Hajime's before heading off toward the sound of his feeble voice. |

He lay in bed, and was sure he heard some footsteps. He was hopeing that it was Kasumi or someone else. He also remembered that Kiyone need to tell him something important, so he was also hoping it was her to. He honestly didn't care who it was. He just needed someone to be there with him, he hated this all. "Kasumi...." he called out again. |

Hajime felt her hand reach for his and grabbed it just as she started running. At first he was jerked but Hajime fell into a run with her. "Come on Kotestu, he is your captain too." He said before they left the waiting lobby. The two ran down the hall and now he heard Ukitake-taichou's voice. 'He sounds sad, longing for someone to be at his side. I had no idea Kasumi was so close with her captain.' He thought and felt how he should get to know Nanao and Shunsui-taichou more, so they can depend on him. |

Jushiro looked up as he saw Kiyone, Kasumi, and suprisingly Hajime. He struggled to sit up. "Captain are you feeling any better?" Kiyone asked, and he put on a smile for her. It was good to know that she still cared even though he didn't know she was there and he kept calling out for Kasumi. "Yes. I feel better. Thank you all for taking care of me." He said with a smile. |

Once inside the room she ignored her reluctance, and rushed to Ukitake's bedside. It didn't matter what he had to tell her, as long as he was able to do it. "'Shiro-san..." Kasumi whispered breathlessly as she knealt down beside him. "I...I'm sorry..." She began apologising, and she didn't even know what for. In all truth, she knew there was nothing she could have done for him. Perhaps she was more sorry about what he'd told her; she didn't know which it was. It was decided she wouldn't mention the subject. |

Jushiro gave a soft laugh as he watched her run to him and kneel down, but his heart broke a little more when he heard her say that she was sorry. He didn't know what she was sorry for, but he promised to himself he would make up for it later because he knew he should be the one that was saying he was sorry. "It's ok Kasumi. You did nothing wrong. You got me here, and that's all that matters." He looked over at Hajime and smiled. "Thank you for keeping her company. I can tell by the look on your face that you have never been put in this kind of situation before." He smiled and looked back to Kasumi. He wanted to tell her so many things, things that didn't involve what he said earlier, but he just couldn't bring himself to say them, not now anyways. He closed his eyes and sighed. At least he was happy to have people in the room with him. |

Hajime was happy that he seemed alright. 13th division is in safe hands with a strong captain like that at the helm. When Ukitake moved his attention to him, he jumped a bit. Placing his hand on the back of his head, he spoke. "Ah no problem. I couldn't just leave you there . . ." He said, he wasn't sure if he knew that Hajime had brought him here but regardless, he said 'no problem' anyway. |

Kasumi turned slightly and looked up at Hajime approvingly; with a smile. "Yes..." She bagan, turning back to Ukitake. "Hajime-kun helped me...well, he...kind of brought you here...'Shiro-san...I-I couldn't have done it without him." A short pause. "...of course I'm here to keep you company..." She placed a friendly hand on top of his. "...I won't leave you..." |

Jushiro looked back up at Hajime, "So you brought me here huh? I guess when I get up and moving around, I'll pay a visit to Shunsui and tell him what an amazing subordinate he has." He gave a laugh and smiled. When he felt Kasumi's hand ontop of his. He turned back to her and looked at their hands. He turned his hand to hold hers and rubbed his thumb over the top of her hand. He looked back into her eyes. "Thank you Kasumi. You are the kind of subordinate that we look for." He gave her a smile. "And they are quite hard to find. But I found mine, and I am very happy to have you in my divison and noone elses. If you were, I might just have to steal you away." He laughed as he said this, and knew it would make her smile. |

He chuckled a bit. "T-thank you, Ukitake-taichou." He didn't think he would do such a thing but it was appreciated. When he spoke to Hajime, he moved to the background and let them have their moment. Tempted to just leave them alone, he was more in the hall then in the room. 'I shouldn't be here too much longer . . . Kasumi-chan should be with her taichou . . . not me.' |

Kasumi's cheeks flushed bright red, and she smiled slightly. "Thank you...'Shiro-san...it is the least I could do...I...couldn't bear to lose another Taichou..." She laughed, trying to cover the latter part of her sentence; shifting positions, to cross her legs beneath her. She could tell he had something to say to her, something he needed to say, and she feared hearing it, but something was holding him back; keeping him from it, and for the most part she was temporarily thankful. She was fairly content for now, and really didn't want to hear it. Turning for a moment, she saw Hajime beginning to recede from the room. She gave him a smile and motioned him back inside; not knowing if he would come back or go. |
