This is a smoky, rowdy bar in the warehouse district, frequented by workmen, gamblers, and the like. It's interior is crafted out of battered aluminum, welded to resemble the inside of a transcumulous shuttle. Covering the walls are holograms of beautiful women in a plethora of risqué positions. A bar dominates the south side of the room and various tables are scattered throughout. |

"There'll be none, 'long as you keep your wits about you" he says, handing you the spheres. "'Ay Tarquin, I'm in to win that flier back from ye, ready to owe me?" he shouts to your target. "In position, now" he whispers to you. The two men sit at a table in the centre of the room, soon to be surrounded by a mob of patrons, all jostling for a look. |

"What do I do with these things again?" Casper thought while figuring out how to use those little gadgets, "He never did teach me how to make use of these." However, he still stood behind the target, seeing clearly what cards he may be dealt. [OC: Should I assume that I'm fully clothed by now? How do I use these spherical crap?] |

The game seems incomprehensible, but you can see, projected upon his hand from some unknown source, various symbols. Drogan looks meaningfully at you and motions with his hand as if to say "get down". Some of the other patrons are looking at you suspiciously, and Drogan renews his playing. [OC: Those are zodes... and yes, you are clothed as a martian workman] |

Casper did as Drogan implied, he went down some, yet he's still unsure of what to do or what to signal him. He decided that it's best for him to learn the game first, or maybe, just study the symbols. |

The holograms have various different symbols on them, ranging from guns to ships, buildings to flames, but it seems as though the aim of the two men's plays is to counter their opponents holo with another. This is done, you realize in a surprisingly realistic manner: If one player plays a footsoldier, his opponent would play "grenades", thus discarding both cards. The game is singular in that each person has their own deck from which they draw. At the beginning of a round, each player draws 3 cards which he can use to counter his opponent. If a player fails to curb his opponent's onslaught, he must discard cards equal to twice the number of uncountered attacking cards. The first one to have their deck depleated loses. Also, a player may, at the start of a round, draw additional cards by discarding that number of the top of his deck after drawing. The combos go as follows: Fire=building (both are discarded) Bomb>building (bomb is not discarded, but is returned to hand) Saboteur=Bomb Foot-soldier<Airship Missile=Airship Grenade=foot-soldier Foot-soldier>fire (Tarquin's hand) Fire, Saboteur, Airship [Extra draws] Foot-soldier, Airship. (Tarquin's deck) Cards x 13. Each time you peek at Tarquin's cards or signal to Drogan, your "suspicion meter" goes up by one. If it reaches five, you're sunk Suspicion

It seems like Casper was able to comprehend the basics of the game just by watching some hands. He was so engrossed that he hadn't realized he had gone closer to Tarquin and was now only inches from him. Clearly at this close proximity he will be able to spot Tarquin's hand with anyone suspecting him. |

Tarquin turns slowly around, and fixes you with his gaze. You notice he has one eye missing, but ither than that, he could be catagorised as "ruggedly handsome". "You lookin' at my cards?" he says, a menacing tone to his voice. "I'll let you go this time, you being new here an' all, but the next round: you play with me". Tarquin's hand: Fire, Saboteur, Airship, Foot-soldier, Airship, Grenade, Missile, Footsoldier Discard pile: 2 Deck: 10 Tarquin plays: Footsoldier, Airship, Footsoldier. Suspicion: ![]() [Every post, i'd like you to secify whether you peek or signal, if you choose to take those actions.] |

The game resumed and Tarquin played his hand, immediately after, Casper gave off subtle movements from his hands and face directed to nobody in particular, or so other people thought. [Signal to Drogan] |

Drogan smirks slightly, and plays three cards from his hand. In this game, the cards are played facedown except one, which can be used as backup. Drogan: [Airship] Missile [Airship] Tarquin: [Airship] Foot-soldier [Foot-soldier] In this case, both face up cards would go through, inflicting discards on the other player. Therefore: Tarquin sends out his two weaker cards, the foot-soldiers, to counter the missile, and his airship to caunter one of Drogan's. Because of your collaberation, Drogan knew which cards to play, thus taking the lead. ![]() Tarquin draws 3. Tarquin's deck: 6 Drogan draws 4. Drogan's deck: 12 |

Tarquin had already played his 3, and Drogan followed suit, getting no signal from you. Tarquin: [Airship]Airship[Airship] Drogan: [Missile]Fire[Foot-soldier] Fire is, as you notice, a special card: it can only be countered by a footsoldier, and inflicts 2 discards if it gets through. Tarquin, panicking, flip up two airships, expecting a strong assault like last time. Drogan counters one with a missile, and his remaining card, a footsoldier, is eliminated. Tarquin draws 3: Tarquins deck: 1 Drogan draws 5: Drogan's Deck: 5 [You peek, correct? If you reach exactly 5, your'e OK, but if you go over, you're sunk, so you can still signal] ![]() Tarquin's hand: Missile, Airship, Airship. |

Seeing as almost the tables have turned against Drogan, Casper quickly gave subtle signals to Drogan hoping that he have the appropriate cards to win next round. After giving the proper hints to Drogan, he went back to the bartender and asked for another shot of the blue liquid. |

The bartender looks at you pointedly and says, "you seemed quite interested in that game there, and from the way you watched, a quick learner". He pours you a shot: "I heard what Tarquin said, and you better watch out when you play him: he is known as quite a rookie-breaker". He slides the glass across the table and says: "this one's on the house". |

Casper raised the glass to the bartender before throwing it down in one gulp. "Thanks fer this." He said after putting the down the empty glass. "Card games are not fer me. That bit with Tarquin bored the hell outta me. I thought it interesting at first but when I was able to predict the moves it lost its taste." Then he winked at the bartender. "Another one? Put this on Drogan's tab." |

At that moment, drogan stalks over to the bar and pus a heavy hand on your shoulder: "you did welll back there: we got the cradora back fair and square" he smlies, pays the bartender and says: "ya wanna play Tarquin? Or ya wanna scram?". Tarquin is already headed across the room, a mean glint in his eye. |
