The brave heroes from Wodengrad, along with the Mapmaker and the strange wanderer called Calahan sailed into the night away from Kesmith, headed south. Calahan manned the wheel, while the others stood by the railing. Occasionally, Calahan would order someone to adjust the sails or man the oars. It turns out, the barge was more than what Maltha told them. It was a fully functional ship.

"I need someone to man the fighting top and be on the look out." said Calahan as he pointed to the top of the masthead where a small booth was perched. "Easy on the ladder, it can get slippery."

He seemed at ease ever since the encounter with Groenberg and company. His cloak fluttered with the breeze, his long unruly blue hair getting in his face, his posture upright but relaxed. He was in his element, commanding the ship. Some of the men noticed his expertise and began wondering what Calahan did before he became a Sentinel.

"Fine." said Marcus flatly. He threw another knife at thye pole and walked to withdraw it again. What does he want, he came with that Groenberg guy and the Sentinels. He seems to be on our side but I can´t be sure. I must know more about the Snetinels and our new companion Donar... Tyr may be not as crazy as he looks... Marcus shot a glance at Donar to see his expression.

Donar Frost is the Wodengrad police captain. He is not your new companion, you should know him. ~Tipsy

Donar shook his head and walked away from Tyr. He walked over to Calahan. "Tyr might become a liability, with his dangerous power and fragile grip on reality. Can you do something about it? It's as if his mind was damaged somehow."

Calahan shrugged. "I have a feeling his role in all of this is bigger than we all expect. He might prove useful later on. How, I don't know."

Calahan called Marcus over. When he was far enough from Tyr, he spoke in a low voice. "You seem to have the power to protect. When the time comes and Tyr loses control, you have to shut him down." He spoke the last three words to Marcus with much emphasis.

Theodor walked around looking for things to use in his smithing. Here and there he picked up some twigs and some random rocks and put them into his pouch. He looked at the group and woundered who was crazy and who was normal.

PWNZED BY BREATH ATTACK!

Amongst all of the squabble, people losing their minds, and otherwise the general self-reflecting of those on the barge, The Mapmaker was coming to his own conclusions. He stood by idly, being quiet in the face of Hawk trying to reach the land, but it finally brought him to question Calahan in the idiosyncrosy of it all.

"Calahan, if you not mind me interjecting, what is it about this land? There is something different about it than our realm, well, at least the realm I was last in. What is so special about this world that it is capable of awakening the latent abilities within us? I mean, it seems like Hawk was given a vision, perhaps even a foretelling of something... And others are dwelling too much on their past, trying to find answers within them, maybe even call forth those abilities they try to find. Yet, the realm from which we came would not allow them to do that."

The Mapmaker looked forward, towards the quickening of of the water, towards Hawk's words, his vision. He thought about Long Fang in his madness, Tyr in his rage, Marcus in his contemplation. The Sentinels, Calahan, Donar, and all the others that were with them. And through it all, a missing piece to the puzzle. A link, that will bring it all together.

And then, he thought to himself. What was his point in all of this? He happened to be passing through Wodengrad of all places at just the right time, when Calahan was bringing everybody together to fight a threat that would invariably conquer that world...

The Mapmaker looked over to the trees. His eyes were not the keenest, but there definitely looked like movement in the darkness of it all. Speaking of dark, the sky had not changed in its demeanor. It was still night after all of this time, and it well felt like it should be nearing day break soon. He ignored this fact a little longer to try and get a better glimpse of the movement...

"DAEMONS! They are on the river bank!"

And as if time had stood still, the Mapmaker doubled over, and the remniscient bubble of memory erupted from his center, engulfing the barge and all that were in it.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

All around them, it was white. no ground, no sky, no color as usual. before them, a figure of amazing purity, ambivalence, almost god-like, stood before a black and white riff, pulsating and moving like the one from Wodengrad. The figure was definitely some sort of female, and she had in her clutches another figure, this one of a man, or perhaps even a baby? The form shifted.

Across from the figure, a man, clad all in black, stood, or hovered. It was the same one from before, the one hovering over the battlefield, over the Daemon Horde. His scar was prevalent, and his hand was reaching out for the two figures. A strange device, with five stones set around a base, hovered before the portal opening. The figure, restraining the infant, or man, took a blade, and cut into the wrist of its captive.

The blood poured from the captive, and soon started taking a form as it swirled and reformed into a being of some sort. The device with the five stones fell into the portal, and the blood figure, using some strange magic, closed the portal. The figure then erupted, exploding into a multitude of crystals that shot out every which way and disappeared. The dark figure hovering, standing, before the Entity looked enraged, and before long, he too had disappeared, along with the hallucination.

=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=-=

The Mapmaker finally stood up, the strange premonitions beginning to haunt the man. He looked at Calahan, and back to the Forest. He saw several of the heroes preparing to fight the creatures on the riverbank, and then asked one last question to Calahan.

"What does it all mean?"

The new vision had awoken Long Fang from his slump. Slowly rising up, brushing the dirt from his robe, he walked to where Marcus was training himself. "I need to talk to you," he said, quite plainly.

Kaworu's eyes suddenly widened in anger and exertion, putting a good deal of spiritual power and physical strength into himself as he slammed his spear shaft vertically forward against Jeff's locked blade to send him back.

Yes, I fought Kaworu. And I lived.[RPGData:10005|9|28|56|3|3|482|222|Dragon Sword|Dragon Armor|Dwarf|40551|None|None|134|6|1|0|None|NaN|None|The Klu Klux Klan]

[note to tipsy: this isnt an epiphany to gain any powers...its just my way of bringing myself back into the story seeing that i have been gone for 2 weeks. i apologize to all...especially Sib.]

Ben Aquice had been shaken from the attack on the bridge. The chaos and panic of the event had made him forget entirely that he held the key to their escape. Ben sat in a corner quietly reflecting on the horde that had descended upon them in such a large number. He had never seen such a force. It frightened him in a way he had never before been.

everyone fought bravely against such odds...but i simply stood there...i fear i have let my comrades down in such a mental absence....

Noise. Shouting. A great vision appeared before him and the others. Before they had a moment to translate it's meaning the vision was gone once more.

Reality shook Ben as he came aware of the situation arising around them. Once again, the Daemon Horde appeared before them. Only this time he would have no absence of mind. Ben Aquice rose swiftly, drawing his sword and brandishing it and his quarterstaff preparedly towards his foe. The fear had drained from him entirely.

Negro please.

Tyr hadn't spoken to Donar any further after that statement, watching the man leave with cold and emotionless eyes and turning back to staring at his palms in an obsessive fury.
When the creatures had appeared on the riverbank, Tyr wasted no time as he glimpsed the Daemons, leaping onto the riverbank off of the boat and letting out wild laughter.
He felt the hate fill him, but more than that, a terrible empty numbness that spoke to him of the inconsequential quality of human life and existence and the subtle nuisances that Tyr found in pleasurable destruction.
Tyr held his palms out towards the creatures, letting his hate form that terrible aura, tendrils of darkness whipping all around him.
"Die! Die and let me feel you dying around me! You creatures are far more my brothers than the fools of Wodengrad, which will make killing you even more satisfying!"

Theodor looked around hearing what the mapmaker had said about the demons on the bank of the river.

Where are they, can they swim to us, do they have traps in the water? Theodor asked himself as he looked toward the banks and in the watr in front of them.

Vince ignored everything else around him as he stared at Tyr. Those visions...The one on the bridge and now this one...What if they aren't of the past, but the future?! What if Tyr is the Dark Lord in each of those visions? "Hmph...Tyr...Turning against his own kind? He is filled with that rage, but he uses it on the daemons, not us. Hmph. His hatred for daemons is actaully quite admirable I'd say." Then Vince took one foot in a kneeling position on the railing, so he could aim well enough at the daemons. Vince lifted his purple arm toward the mob of daemons and opened his palm. My place of birth: Snakebite Grove...My Father...AND FIRE!

[Aww shit too many people are talking to me at once :p]

Having heard Calahan´s whispered words Marcus comtemplated his new power. When Long Fang spoke he turned to him ready to speak, before realizing Tyr had jumped ship. "Okay, I..." when he saw Tyr he remembered Calahan´s words. "I am sorry Long Fang," following Tyr, Marcus took a running jump and tried to land away from Tyr´s aura of hate on the opposite bank where the Daemons were, his knives ready.

Long Fang sighed, calling out to his companions who had jumped to the bank. "We need not fight them yet! We have not reached dock!" With that, he turned to face Calahan, clearing his throat for attention. "I apologize for bugging you at such a time, sir Calahan."

Ben watched as Tyr threw himself from the boat at the daemons. Without question he dived off of the boat into the shallows as well. He remained the shallows to keep himself distanced from Tyr's magicks and to draw the lumbering daemons into the water where they'd not be as swift he hoped.

Erille was deep in thought upon his perch. All these information was too much for him at the moment. He was reliving the vision from that time on the riverbank when he saw a glimpse of the daemons. But before he could say anything, the mapmaker already gave out the warning call, "DAEMONS! They are on the river bank!", was what he said.

And then, once again, the colors faded into shades of gray. Another vision, but he wasn't able to comprehend any of it, only that gemmed contraption is somehow important. When the vision faded away, he set that up aside, thinking only of the matters at hand.

He surveyed the area once more and decided that the daemons are far more threatening than what he could see. He jumped down from his perch, drew out his scimitar "Tyrfyng", and prepared to defend the barge. But then Tyr followed by Marcus jumped onto the riverbank, the latter it seems is trying to bring back the former onto the barge. "Bloodlust fool, at this point we must not fight unnecessary battles."

"Hey you! Guy with the glowing daggers, if I could somehow stop that man's aura, do your best and bring him back here." He screamed at Marcus, and without much hesitation focused his minds strength on disabling Tyr's powers. It may prove life threatening but his companions are much more important than his own life.

As his companions jumped the banks, Hawk focused on the trees they fought amongst. Focusing with all of this might, he sent the trees after the daemon horde, hoping to thin their ranks.
