Bow Down When I Come To Your Town

Huge fan... Just bought KOTOR II... I've heard less impressive things from it, stuff cut out, etc., etc.,... But oh well, its been my Action/RPG fix (I tend to hate Final Fantasy stuff and like, Deus Ex, KOTOR, Jade Empire, etc.)... Just wondering, which do you prefer? One or Two? I've heard KOTOR III is coming out for the 360, eventually, and you may get to be Revan again, continuing from KOTOR I... Is it just me or was KOTOR I cinematically and story-wise more satisfying than Star Wars Episode III...the film? That movie was a piece of crap that seemed oddly more like a video game than a movie, and KOTOR I seemed like a pretty cool movie...I actually played KOTOR I over a few times, pure evil, then fairly good (I'm never 100% good, too pussy. :p) But usual I sort of play...well, as myself, you know? Like, not genocide-commiting evil, but I'm willing to extort and brutally kill bad guys and people who bother me...and at the same time, hell I help out the weak and don't kill them. Anyway, the second time through KOTOR I was intensely satisfying because I was awesomely powerful, I just ravaged through whatever the hell I wanted shouting, "I'M A JEDI, BITCH!" (I could never do the ultimate evil and betray and kill Jolee, the cat-girl, and then force persuade Zaalbar into killing that one blue bitch. Though my favorite moment is in that one underground sea base where everyone goes crazy...And you hear a mercenary who locked himself in the locker, and he taunts you and stuff. So I just stuffed my lightsaber into that baby and swirled it around. XD)Currently going through KOTOR II...it's pretty fun I guess... My character is totally amped up on Force Persuade/Persuade/Charisma/Security/Computers...So he basically goes and does whatever the fuck he wants. My persuade is so powerful...I just love mind-fucking random people with the Force. ![]() Check it out by the way, an IGN prediction/statement for KOTOR III:
What?! Total realtime? I don't understand...is that good? Isn't the whole point quick turn-based RPG action? How would it even work? And I've always been a distinct shade of gray. |

I've played through KOTOR I about 6 times, getting completely different stories each time. But as you said, I've never once been 100% good. It is indeed for pussies.
I have done complete evil though. VERY satisfying.

The second one is awesome. More character development. |

Awww, I can't do 100% evil. I'm never 100% good, but I'm sort of like, "Fuck you guys, I'll do what I want. EAT LIGHTSABER BITCH." but never 100% evil. That's like, force choking pregnant women and pissing on Yoda.

I loved part 1, and never played part 2 so I don't know what I prefer. |

I heard that 2 was better then the first, but I only played the first, and that one didn't run smooth on my computer, so I stopped playing it at my home. |

To tell you the truth, KOTOR 1 > KOTOR 2, simply because a lot of stuff was cut from KOTOR 2, like extra cinemas and levels and shite.

I've played both games, but I'd have to rate them about even. Including what you all said about Kotor I having way better story. I really like the improved game engine of Kotor II enough to make up for it. Now all they need to do is make III, update the graphics, and make a strong story again. (If it includes the "true sith" in its storyline, then it should automatically get good.) I'm personally hoping KOTOR III allows you to leave the galaxy, find Revan and the Exile, design them as you choose, picking light/dark male/female of course. Anyone ever played as neutral as possible? Thats pretty different the first time you do it :). |
