what on earth are international anti-recycling norms? Are they something to do with putting money outside the door in laundry bags when the fortnightly collection is due?
I've pondered on that intermittently this afternoon, Rose...
And finally assumed he objects to the stories created by others being recycled by re-telling in yet more publications.

But if it takes me this long to reach that conclusion, it suggests the Vatican communications office/director really hasn't got too much of a clue about how to communicate! As so often....

I think Fr Lombardi meant anti-money laundering norms. Either he made a mistake, or the person putting his words on the Vatican website got it wrong.

Every night I receive emails of Catholic News, from sources in USA. There is so much speculation in the articles, quoting "sources" but offering no proof, I am weary of rumour overload. Experience has taught me to take no notice until there is official news, whether it be from government of an agency of the Church.

Collegiality has taken yet another step forward, with the new priest in my parish...
Not only has he given me a wad of invites to his Induction Mass next month and asked me to send them to the civic leaders...
But they are printed as invitations 'From the Parishioners of....'
He seems to be practising the collegiality he spoke of when he arrived a couple of weeks back!

It really is quite amazing how one feels when treated with that kind of respect - Methinks he's going to be a much-loved PP.
Oh... and remarks we pass about him amongst ourselves, are being addressed back to us directly in his homilies and parish notices, so people clearly feel able to talk openly with him and receive a positive response, which encourages a responsible collegial attitude.
Wow - tis almost like having joined a different Church!

:yeah:

Brilliant. It's great when the flock receive an excellent PP.

I try to raise funds for Friends of the Holy Land http://www.friendsoftheholyland.org.uk/ and email PP and CoE vicars re putting up posters etc. I don't even get replies. It makes me wonder where their heads are at sometimes.
