Thanks Patrick. That's lovely. And very decent of you considering your stance on the matter.

(I wonder if for believers it'll just be like a light suddenly switched on in their souls, minds, bodies and all around them?)

Thanks :)

I care not one iota wether or not barking dogs, crying cats or any other animal gets into heaven...
If there are barking dogs, then it is HELL.

Quicunque vult

While it might be rather touching to see Fido in heaven, I am rather relieved that I won't, as I also won't meet all the many chicken, bulls, cows, sheep, fish, pigs, etc that I have devoured over the years.

(The presumption that I will get there is of course a) doubtful and b) sinful.)

If it is true we are to have our favourite animals with us in Heaven, my pets wiill be with my grandchildren as well as with me. They in turn will have the pets they have now, the pets that are dead and those they will have in the future.

None of this adds up. The grandchildren will be with their parents and with me. Their mother will be with her parents and siblings. I will be with my brothers and sisters, they will be with their husbands and wives, who will be with their parents who will be with all their children, in-laws and siblings. In other words all the humans who get there and all their pets will be together in each other's company. The nice bit about this is we will all live in peace and harmony.

If I get there it might be less trouble and morejoyous to settle for being with the Blessed Trinity and the Blessed Mother.

It wont if you think in earthly measurements Rose. Why meet them all at once when you have eternity stretching in front of you?

In eternity there is no time. Anybody who will be with me one day will be with me a million years later. Well, they would be if there were any years.

Some folks get paid for delving into theology. Some of them come up with daft ideas. On Catholic Cyberforum we do it for free.

No PJD it's my eyes, or perhaps my lack of linguistic abilities. I have difficulty differentiating between instantanity and insanity.

Edit: Post enlarged for your eyes.

Well, there lies our problem - we need a government grant  . We can do a study. Perhaps a joint investigation funded by the UK and US governments? :ukflag: :usflag:

NO! They might ban religion from the meeting agenda.

Us menfolk don't care, we'll be too occupied with the Beatific Vision...

We may occasionally ask you women to "pass the remote"...
