Anne is a good example of what I have seen on a number of occasions, the convert becoming more Catholic than the Catholics :tc:
I don't think they are, its just that we cradle Catholics are comfy with our faith, we've always had it, it has always been "part of us", so we don't need to go around telling people how wonderful it was to find faith later in life. I've had my hearing since birth, so don't really think about it. A person born deaf, who is cured, sure will get excited about it.

Excellent observation Rose!

That makes for a very good smiley. I will try to remember it in future.

Ann Widdecombe has wihdrawn her candidacy following an eye operation.

Lets have a bit of fun, hold an election for the post of British Ambassador to the Holy See. Ladies and Gentlemen, please submit your nominations. We can't have Dave Allen, he's dead. I propose Mary Parkinson, the charming lady who is married to Michael. I have no idea whether she is still a practising Catholic.

How about Princess Pushy (HRH Princess Michael of Kent) :wh:

Dermot O'Leary would be my choice.
I thought Ms Widdecombe had stood aside because she wanted to be the new John Sergeant of Strictly Come Dancing!

I would vocierously object to many of the above-especially the Matrix /QC one!.
No my whole and exclusive vote would go to-ME !
Yes I would have to improve the typing/spelling but having had an Irish gentleman-now it is time for a Scotsman !
I would as a cocession have a special Vatican meeting, with the proper food and wines-Chateau Musar for the discerning-as long as everyone arrived properly clad.
Now who will be the first to cross my nomenclature????
