A Priest from my Diocese was found beaten to death in his kitchen on Friday. I don't know him very well, but he was the secretary for the Bishop who ordained me. He was always freindly and plesant with all he worked with. His Parishioners loved him dearly and all in his Parish, especially the children in the Parish school are devistated

“It is most laudable in a married woman to be devout,
but she must never forget that she is a housewife.
And sometimes she must leave God at the altar
to find Him in her housekeeping.”

May he rest in peace.
May those who mourn be comforted.
May the perpetrator seek God's forgiveness.

What a terrible thing to happen. Praying for the repose of his soul, and the comfort of all who loved him.

I believe that an employee (the Church janitor) has now been charged with the murder of Fr.Hines.
What doth it profit a man if he gains the whole world but suffers the loss of his soul
