Mairtin's mother in law has been taken ill, family are now waiting for an ambulance to take her to hospital. The lady is, I think, in her nineties and is very poorly. Mairtin asks for prayers.

“It is most laudable in a married woman to be devout,
but she must never forget that she is a housewife.
And sometimes she must leave God at the altar
to find Him in her housekeeping.”

Thank you all.

She wasn't taken to hospital after all, she's prone to TIA's (mini strokes) and the doctor reckoned it was a probably a particularly bad one; it was over at that stage and if she was taken to hospital, all she would receive would be general nursing care and observation, none of which, in the doc's own words, would be anywhere near the standard provided by my wife. (She's an only child and her mother lives with us).
