I think doubts should be freely expressed. I think answers to those doubts should be freely expressed. I think people should be free to engage or not with the debate and to rant and patronise if they wish ( as long as they don't complain if they are on the receiving end). I don't think there is any need for us to be precious about any of this on our own or --even less--on the Faith's behalf. And let us not try to stifle debate on the flimsy pretext that some imaginary invisible viewer might be adversely affected.

I'll try to duck but if required I used to have a good right hook. So if this is what people want who am I to complain?

Richard, if I may so ( without being patronising!!) I think you do very well already and I always enjoy your contributions and comments. I suspect you'll only need the right hook on a very small number of occasions but always useful to have!

Is that a doubt, OSB? Is your mind going blank when you think of the doubt?

Thanks OsB for bringing this topic to the top for me.

I hadn't seen it before and it looks very interesting.

I'll need time to come back to absorb it before commenting though.

At first glance it does not seem to include the controversial points Anne-Marie made in her recent post http://s10.zetaboards.com/Catholic_CyberForum/single/?p=8036660&t=7138317

But maybe we can come back on those later.
