Anita has been told she may go home this Friday, her lungs are functioning at 50% and she has been fitted with a pacemaker. Most of the tumours are gone, and the ones that remain will be monitored closely. Please continue to pray for her, she has missed so much school and is very weak. I think we may have witnessed a miracle, as she was very much on the brink of death a few weeks ago. Thanks to all of you - she is very touched by your prayers for her. |

Anita came home last week, and has been told to rest as much as possible. She has 50% of normal lung function so gets very breathless, and has a pacemaker to stimulate her heart. The remaining tumours are small, and are being monitored. The new treatment she had (chemo which targets only the cancerous tissue) worked very well as there were virtually no side effects, so that means she will be able to have it again, without the normal debilitating and distressing side effects. She is in very good spirits, chatting away on the computer and playing with her dogs. She is looking forward to her 16th birthday at the end of the month. She was so pleased and touched to hear that so many people were praying for her and thanks everyone. God bless, Pat |

We just heard tonight that Anita was called into the hospital at 4am this morning as she was to have her transplant. The operation went without a hitch, and she now has a new heart and lungs. I know transplants are not approved of by all, but please, no debates here - I really think this is the miracle we were praying for. May I ask you all to continue praying for Anita and for the repose of the soul of the donor and the consoling of his/her family. |
