my ringtones are:

in a gada da vida = daughter 1
Presumably the ring tone does away with the 15 minute drum solo, etc!

Rather pedestrian but I like the guy and it's my all time favourite!

For true pedestrian you need Jerusalem:

"And did those feet..."

I could hardly recognise the hymn beyond the first line. It is also one of my favourites but it needs to be played and sung cheerfully not like a dirge. Happily not solemnly.

Likewise Jerusalem. It was the Hymn of the 11+ state school I attended and the music teacher used to endeavour we put some meaning and life into its presentation. The succeeding headmaster abolished it among other changes he made but I had left by then.

Another "pedestrian" hymn has one of my favourite lines
St John Damascene tr. J.M. Neale

God hath...Led them with unmoistened foot Through the Red Sea waters.

Many thanks Katy,
I got my violin tutor to write out the music for me.
I can now play it , since it is slow and easy.

Keeping rhythm.
Funny arguement to Beethoven's 5th Symphony.

;) Thanks for embedding for me Katy.

I gather from the video that the jealous wife is accusing her husband of seeing another woman, as she has found a hair on his jacket, but right at the end as she sits down and strokes the 'invisible' dog, she immediately realizes that the hair she found on her husbands jacket was not from another woman, but from the dog.
Very well done !

Very Clever. Are we sure the husband isn't the conductor, he seems to be trying to conduct the orchestra at the same time he is pleading his innocence!

Here's my old friend again getting stuck into 'Hail Queen of Heaven'!

You have to admire his gusto as he struggles with the organ - one can almost smell the perspiration!

Enjoy!

I confess, I didn't know that one and had to look it up.
Come, ye faithful, raise the strain
Possibly a useful site, since not only can one choose the instrument to hear, the piano score can also be downloaded.
Warning - music plays on every page - and can be irritating. Scroll down to the midi icon to stop the music.

Ned mentioned this hymn in the bible discussion section. I don't want to interupt the flow of that thread so I'm posting it here

This is definitely not the tune I know, but the words are the same
