I picked this up on another topic, and am taking up Joe's suggestion that we put it to members that those who wish, pledge to say a decade of the rosary each day, for those who are named on the prayer lists and for the intentions of the members. .

Reading the prayer requests on the forum reminds of the suffering of others, how the suffering of one becomes the suffering of others, family friends etc.
It also reminds of the charity of others, in this busy and commercial world where God is often forgotten there are still people of faith who believe in prayer. There are still people who take the time to think of others.
I wonder, and this is for our moderators to decide, could we set up a system whereby members could pledge to pray a decade of the holy rosary every day for those who are named on the prayer lists and for the intentions of the members. This would be purely voluntary and no one should feel obligated to become a part of it. Perhaps we could decide a time of day when all would simultaneously assault Heaven with a barrage of prayer.
Just a thought.

I wish to be part of that. I shall begin with my first decade this evening. I am avaiable to pray a decade at a particulat time if that is agreed.

“It is most laudable in a married woman to be devout,
but she must never forget that she is a housewife.
And sometimes she must leave God at the altar
to find Him in her housekeeping.”
