Ecumenical slice of Nostra E-tart anyone?

I hope there's no Nostra Aspartame in that cake.

My attempt at a blog.

Apple and cinnamon sounds wonderful, I look forward to that with a cp of tea this evening
Here's your cake, Penfold!
It has cinnamon buttercream in the middle, and the caramelised apple on top was lovely and sticky

Or if you prefer, you can have some cherry scones! Now with jam & cream!!

Perhaps Man United should have popped in here before last night’s game. After all we decorated it just for them.

Here's something a little more elaborate and 'pre-V2' in inspiration.

Sorry I'm not participating much, but life is pretty busy at the moment ~ but it's nice to pop in now and again even if I can't hang around!

At least my cake is edible ~ that one is made out of plaster of paris, I'll warrant!
Give me good home cooking any day, instead of such monstrosities!

My dear Mrs Pogle,

Your cakes are.......well.....workmanlike in appearance and no doubt reasonably pleasant to the taste. I am trying to show that pre-V2 cakes were of a generally grander and no doubt tastier nature. I know nothing of 'Plaster of Paris'! Such things were unheard of pre-1962!

Oh! Here is a little something I prepared earlier!
